Of course, pregnancy is a wonderful time for every expectant mother. Sometimes a woman may plan to have a baby, but there are times when pregnancy comes as an unexpected surprise to her.

One way or another, having learned about the new period of her life, a woman needs to keep the child and provide herself with reliable protection from diseases and negative factors.

Very often situations arise when spouses did not plan to conceive a child in the near future, but fertilization nevertheless occurred for one reason or another. Of course, no matter how healthy a woman is, she will have to reconsider her lifestyle as a whole.

It is extremely important to recognize pregnancy as early as possible. early stages so as not to harm the fetus and not jeopardize its full development.

Several facts confirm the need to recognize pregnancy at an early stage:

  • the conception was unplanned, and future mom has already consumed foods harmful to the fetus, or has subjected the body to severe physical stress;
  • the woman had contraindications to conceiving a child before becoming pregnant;
  • the expectant mother may mistake the opening bleeding for the onset of menstruation;
  • Without knowing about pregnancy, a woman can continue taking medicines which are prohibited in the first trimester;
  • Timely registration will help identify existing fetal pathologies at an early stage.

The first trimester of pregnancy is the most important period of fetal development. It is extremely important to get rid of all negative influences on the child as early as possible. The sooner a woman finds out about pregnancy, the higher the likelihood that it will proceed without complications.

It is important that a specialist will identify genetic developmental abnormalities at an early stage.

What are the symptoms during early pregnancy?

The completed process of fertilization is the reason for the beginning of hormonal changes in the woman’s body. The hormonal changes that occur during this period radically change the condition of the expectant mother.

This period of time is very difficult to diagnose; in some women it is completely asymptomatic. But, as a rule, already in the first days after implantation of the embryo, many expectant mothers already notice the onset of an “interesting situation”.

Symptoms early pregnancy are:

Many expectant mothers do not experience traditional manifestations of the onset of a new period for her, and it also happens that there are no symptoms at all throughout the entire period.

As a rule, only the early stages of pregnancy have such dull symptoms; after a short period of time, the baby will remind itself more and more often and more intensely.

It should be remembered that the appearance of at least one early sign is a signal that it is time to get rid of bad habits and stress, normalize your diet and stop taking any medications. It is also mandatory for a woman to register and be monitored by a gynecologist.

What are the symptoms during pregnancy?

After the completion of implantation of the fertilized egg, all systems of the woman’s body undergo hormonal changes. IN this period symptoms appear, with the occurrence of which the expectant mother can hardly doubt the onset of an “interesting” situation for her.

Symptoms during pregnancy:

You can often hear among pregnant women that the symptoms cause them a lot of discomfort. But any negative sign can brighten up the thought that soon all this will end and a baby will be born.

What are the symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy in the early stages?

An ectopic pregnancy is a pregnancy pathology in which a fertilized egg is implanted not in the uterus itself, but outside it. Given pathological condition is very dangerous and requires urgent assistance from specialists. It threatens not only damage to the female internal genital organs, but also the onset of bleeding.

Several signs that distinguish a normal pregnancy from an ectopic one:

  • pregnancy tests give a negative or weakly positive result;
  • bloody vaginal discharge;
  • constant dizziness;
  • cutting pain in the area of the ovaries and uterus;
  • increased body temperature;
  • lowering blood pressure;
  • pain in the lumbar region.

Unfortunately, this pathology has the same symptoms that accompany a healthy pregnancy. But still, in most cases, signs appear that will alert the woman and force her to seek medical help.

It is worth remembering that none of this kind pathological pregnancy does not have a successful outcome.

There is an opinion that after an ectopic pregnancy a woman remains infertile. Experts say that this opinion is wrong. It is quite possible to get pregnant, the main thing is to listen to the doctor’s recommendations and set yourself up only for the good.

What are the first symptoms of a frozen pregnancy?

A frozen pregnancy is the cessation of development and formation of the fetus, in other words, its death in the womb. Fetal death occurs without any symptoms of miscarriage; it can happen at any stage and have a variety of causes.

Symptoms of a frozen pregnancy:

  1. Discharge. In the first days after the death of the fetus, they may be as usual white, then as the embryo decomposes, red veins begin to appear in them.
  2. Stopping toxicosis. On the first day after the death of the embryo, the urge to nausea is present as usual; after 3-4 days they disappear.
  3. Change in well-being. After the death of the fetus, there is an increase in body temperature, sharp pain in the uterus and weakness.

As a rule, sensing something is wrong, the expectant mother rushes to contact her gynecologist. Fetal death can only be diagnosed by a specialist, based on ultrasound results.

Ultrasound indicators for a frozen pregnancy will be as follows:

  • the embryo's heartbeat cannot be heard;
  • the size of the fertilized egg does not correspond to the gestational age;
  • deformation of the ovum is observed;
  • the fetus is not visualized.

In addition to an ultrasound, a woman may be prescribed a blood test to measure hCG levels. The result of the analysis during a frozen pregnancy may be to identify a reduced concentration of hCG, or a significant lag from the norm.

It is impossible to get rid of a frozen pregnancy on your own; all attempts will lead to bleeding.

To summarize, we can say that ideally, it is better to plan pregnancy in advance, healthy image life and regularly visit a gynecologist. But even if such good news was not at all included in the plans for the near future, the woman needs to register on time and ensure better protection health for yourself and your baby.

And in the next video there is additional information about pregnancy symptoms.

Determining a possible pregnancy even before a delay is not at all difficult. There are obvious first signs of pregnancy before menstruation, knowing which you can very accurately answer an exciting question. Doubtful and reliable, general and very individual, the most typical and not quite typical, physiological, psychological and emotional - you will find all the first signs of pregnancy here.

When do the first signs of pregnancy appear?

Probably, in most all cases when women become pregnant, they find out about it just days, or even weeks after the delay. It is the absence of menstruation that prompts them to think about possible conception. But for those planning a pregnancy, as well as for those who have real reasons to suspect pregnancy in this cycle, it is very important to know the situation as early as possible. And such women are certainly interested in the question of when the first signs of pregnancy appear.

It should be said that not in all cases, but quite often female body begins to give signals about its new condition very early: soon after ovulation, even before the delay or in its first days. At such an early stage, a pregnancy test may not yet show a true result. And even a gynecologist and uzologist are not able to accurately answer you whether you are pregnant or not. To some extent, you can only trust your own feelings and changes occurring in your own body: the main thing is not to accept the real state of affairs as desirable or frightening. Often, women who are very eager to get pregnant or are very afraid of this are ready to notice signs of pregnancy where there are none. Try to assess the presence or absence of the first symptoms objectively.

The very first signs of pregnancy

To better understand your feelings, this section describes all the possible earliest signs of pregnancy. Study them in detail, do not rush to conclusions, compare your suspicions with the experiences of other women. Sometimes pregnancy may be indicated by what you think are completely atypical, bizarre signs, but if you look through the Internet, you can see that the same thing happened to many other women.

At the same time, many of the most likely symptoms are very reminiscent of a woman’s condition with premenstrual syndrome, and therefore you should not run ahead of the cart - wait for a delay and, if necessary, visit a gynecologist.

And may any of your expectations come true!

Feeling slightly unwell, a woman is sometimes in doubt: are these symptoms the first signs of pregnancy?

To be sure, you need to know exactly how pregnancy develops, what clinical picture is typical for the early stages, and how you can verify the presence of pregnancy using modern methods.

A mature egg leaves the ovary and enters the fallopian tube. Under appropriate conditions, fertilization occurs with the most active sperm.

In this case, fertilization may be slightly delayed in time. Sometimes this takes several days, since sperm move at a speed of approximately 2 cm/hour.

From the moment of fertilization, the zygote begins to divide. From each of its cells 2 new ones are born.

The division process is extremely fast. Already by the 8th week of pregnancy, the embryo develops basic life support systems.

However, the zygote does not only divide. She needs to find a place where she can attach to the wall and continue to grow without lacking nutrients. Therefore, the fertilized egg continues its journey through the fallopian tube, slowly approaching the uterus.

This journey takes 1-2 weeks. Only after implantation of the embryo can we talk about pregnancy.

The first probable signs of pregnancy

While the egg travels through the fallopian tube, the woman’s body carefully prepares for pregnancy.

As a result, it changes hormonal background, which has a significant impact on chemical reactions and blood composition.

At this moment, the woman begins to feel the first signs that allow her to judge the beginning of pregnancy. They can be characterized as speculative, since at this stage the pregnancy has not yet been confirmed.

  • Pain in the pelvic area.

In the very early stages of pregnancy, the stomach most often hurts at the time of implantation of the fertilized egg.

At this time, there may be a slight tingling sensation on the side where the egg attaches.

  • Unusual vaginal discharge.

This is another sign of pregnancy that appears in the early stages.

Their color may change slightly. Often the discharge becomes whitish and more abundant. This occurs as a result of large production of progesterone.

If the discharge resembles a curdled mass, smells unpleasant and causes itching, you need to be examined for. can sometimes cause miscarriage. - a sign of sexual infection.

Discomfort is explained by swelling of the mammary glands. The nipple areola becomes especially sensitive.

Often women complain that pain is caused by simply touching the nipple. It is considered a very dubious sign.

Even for the same woman with her first child, a symptom of pregnancy may be severe pain in the chest, and a sign of a second pregnancy in the early stages may, on the contrary, be a complete absence of pain.

  • Change in taste.

This sign of pregnancy appears after a missed period.

Previously favorite foods cause disgust and nausea. Sometimes a woman is sincerely surprised why the sight of fried chicken leads to vomiting, but the smell laundry soap seems like a heavenly scent.

Such signs are evidence of hormonal changes and... The body adapts according to an individual scheme. In one woman there may be no urge to vomit, in another the smell and sight of food leads to uncontrollable vomiting.

To reduce unpleasant symptoms, it is often enough to eliminate their cause by getting rid of foods that provoke attacks of nausea, as well as devoting enough time to walks and sleep.

Severe toxicosis with repeated vomiting may be a sign of multiple pregnancy.

  • Feeling completely overwhelmed.

Many women at the beginning of pregnancy have a constant desire to cry or throw a tantrum. This condition is typical for almost every woman in an “interesting” position. Apathy, depression and fatigue will pass as soon as the body’s adaptation to new conditions is completed.

  • Changes in the functioning of the digestive system.

Many women will feel what a change in intestinal microflora means. Possible diarrhea and constipation, bloating, increased flatulence.

  • Frequent urination.

The growth of the zygote significantly affects the organs located near the uterus, in particular the bladder. Therefore, frequent urination is observed already from the 5th week, when the uterus begins to rapidly increase in size, and continues until the 12-13th week.

In addition, the bladder now responds to a smaller volume of fluid due to the rush of blood to the pelvis.

  • Light.

Often the malaise is accompanied by sinus congestion and chills, common for ARVI.

If the condition does not worsen within a few days and the cold does not manifest itself in full glory, one can suspect that the culprit is a change in hormonal levels characteristic of pregnancy.

  • Decreased tone of blood vessels.

In this case, the woman complains of weakness, dizziness and headaches.

Hypotension also negatively affects the fetus, since it does not receive the required amount of oxygen and nutrients.

While hypotension can be caused by pregnancy, hypertension is a disease caused by other reasons. In any case, examination and appropriate treatment under the supervision of a gynecologist is necessary.

The list of symptoms listed can be supplemented with external signs of pregnancy. Already in the first week after conception, the condition of the skin may change.

The T-zone of the face and nipple areola often darken due to increased pigmentation. By the end of the first trimester, a dark line on the skin will become noticeable, stretching from the bottom of the uterus to the pubis.

The functioning of the sebaceous glands may normalize and acne will almost completely disappear. Unusual signs of pregnancy include: increased sweating, brittle hair and nails.

The condition of teeth often deteriorates. All these signs appear as a consequence of fetal development. The child takes from the mother's body the substances necessary for its own development.

Improve appearance you can by resorting to a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables.

It is better to consult a gynecologist who will advise which ones to take.

Personal experience

My first pregnancy occurred when I was 19 years old. This does not include two attempts where miscarriages occurred. How happy I was when I saw the treasured 2 stripes on the test.

Considering that I was once diagnosed with infertility (and no doctor can diagnose it 100%), I did not fanatically try to get pregnant. This is probably why she did not attach special importance to the primary characteristics. As it turned out later, only at 6 weeks of pregnancy did I feel that my body began to change.

Every second girl may experience a rash on her face and pain in the mammary glands before menstruation. After the end of the cycle, the pain goes away. For me it remained just as strong, sometimes it was impossible to sleep on my stomach. Mom immediately noticed an increase in her breasts by one size. To say that I have recovered - no. I then lost about 10 kg due to stress, treatment, etc.

My husband began to often reproach me for not feeling well - I slept a lot, lost my appetite, and became very moody. The last factor does not manifest itself in all girls. At the same time, sexual intercourse even at such an early stage caused a lot of inconvenience. This worried me.

But due to my convictions, I thought that this was ordinary fatigue due to work, lack of sleep and problems at work. I couldn't relax. and, of course, the delay. Although, according to my calculations, I became pregnant just on the last days of my period, some kind of miracle.

I didn’t pay much attention to it, because for me it was normal - hormonal imbalances and other problems. If it weren’t for my mother, who believed in the power of the spirit, I would not have taken the test and discovered my baby at 6 weeks.

With my second pregnancy everything was different. I was 20 years old, still young and inexperienced. Since I was breastfeeding my first child, the pregnancy occurred during the lactation period. The milk did not decrease, but already at 2-3 weeks I felt pain in my stomach.

This fact was used to create special strips showing excess concentrations of human chorionic gonadotropin.

A second line on the test that is too bright may be a sign of twin pregnancy.

If you have kidney disease or excessive fluid intake, the test may show an incorrect result. Therefore, it is recommended to repeat the procedure after 2-3 days.

A home test cannot replace medical diagnosis. Human chorionic gonadotropin contains alpha and beta hCG.

The presence of pregnancy can be judged by an increase in the concentration of beta-hCG. Therefore, already 8-12 days after the date of expected conception, a blood test for hCG will dispel your doubts.

Every 2 days there is a twofold increase in the concentration of the hormone. Similar dynamics are observed up to 7-10 weeks. Then, the indicator begins to slowly decline.

In parallel with the blood test, it is recommended to undergo ultrasonography.

If a regular ultrasound can detect pregnancy 15-20 days after the delay, transvaginal ultrasound, a method of inserting a special sensor through the vagina, gives results 10-14 days after the delay.

At 8-10 weeks of pregnancy, an ultrasound scan of the abdomen may show a fertilized egg. However, pregnancy determination using ultrasound is not always 100% reliable. The reason for this may be outdated equipment or low qualifications of personnel.

Sometimes pregnancy is confused with fibroids. Old equipment is simply not capable of examining early pregnancy. Even doctors warn that the study should be carried out no earlier than the 10th day after the delay in order to reduce the likelihood of error.

What are the initial signs of multiple pregnancy?

You can recognize it based on the first signs.

Thus, many women complain of excessive fatigue and drowsiness.

This condition lasts much longer than during normal pregnancy. The body experiences severe stress when carrying twins.

To nourish the embryos, you need 2 times more oxygen and other substances that are taken from the woman.

It is possible that toxicosis will manifest itself much earlier and more strongly. However, this symptom develops individually and a healthy woman with a multiple pregnancy may not feel unwell.

Since 2 or more embryos develop, the production of hCG is particularly intense. Therefore, a pregnancy test can give a bright result in the form of a thick and distinct strip.

Multiple pregnancies are determined quite accurately by the AFP test.

Alphafetoprotein is an embryonic protein that is produced by the gastrointestinal tract and liver of the fetus after the 5th week of pregnancy.

Protein is also present in a woman’s blood; its value increases proportionally with the growth of the fetus. Exceeding the permissible concentration usually indicates fetal abnormalities, but may also be a sign of multiple pregnancy.

Two developing embryos ensure rapid weight gain. An increase of about 12 kilograms during the entire pregnancy is considered normal. A woman pregnant with twins gains 16-21 kilograms

While ultrasound is considered a fairly accurate method for detecting a normal pregnancy, the device is not able to “see” twins in the early stages. Therefore, twins can be guaranteed with confidence only at 5-6 weeks, when the heartbeat of the embryos can be detected.

In order for the pregnancy to proceed without risks and successfully end with the birth of a healthy baby, after the first signs appear, it is necessary to register with a gynecological consultation.

Every woman planning a pregnancy diligently tries to track symptoms in the early stages of pregnancy, persistently listening to her body. The slightest changes at work internal organs already give the first hope that a miracle has happened. Many women try to recognize early pregnancy, often resorting to completely ridiculous pagan traditions. But you shouldn't blame them for this. Perhaps they are simply not sufficiently informed on these issues.

How to recognize the first symptoms of pregnancy in the early stages

Since ancient times, people have tried to learn to recognize the first signs of early pregnancy by various folk ways. Modern medicine has everything necessary means for accurate diagnosis. During the first week after conception, the fertilized egg “wanders” through the fallopian tubes and uterus, “looking” for a convenient place to attach to the inner wall, from where the development of the embryo will begin.

Symptoms of pregnancy for a woman who is conceiving for the first time may appear as follows:

Such conditions should be treated responsibly, because in fact, during this period, immunity is significantly reduced. A woman becomes more vulnerable to the penetration of various infections into the body.

A couple of weeks after conception, Montgomery tubercles appear - barely noticeable bumps around the nipples. The breasts become so sensitive that they react to the slightest touch with swelling or mild pain. The skin around the nipple areolas darkens slightly, which confirms conception.

Accurate signs of pregnancy

In the early stages, there may be no signs of pregnancy at all. Such cases are not uncommon. Some women pay attention to changes in their body only due to the absence of menstruation.

Nausea and vomiting in the early stages are one of the obvious signs of pregnancy. It is on this basis that women reassure themselves in absentia that conception has occurred. This is toxicosis. The causes of this symptom remain a mystery to medicine to this day.

Many researchers rightly believe that toxicosis is the body’s reaction to intoxication. The first reaction to conception is rejection of a foreign body, as if the immune system, turning on its defense mechanisms, tries to get rid of the foreign body. There is another version - a psychological reaction. One can even assume that it is psychosomatic. Most often, women who are not yet ready for motherhood are susceptible to toxicosis. Consequently, the body plunges into a state of shock, sometimes for quite a long time.

Toxicosis of psychological origin is also characteristic of those women who cannot get pregnant for a long time and suffer from it. On the contrary, those who avoid pregnancy like hell constantly suspect that they have an unwanted conception and are especially wary of monitoring the slightest changes in the behavior of their internal organs.

You might be interested in: 12 ways to say no to toxicosis

In the early stages of pregnancy, chaotic disorders of the gastrointestinal tract cannot be ruled out. Some people mistake diarrhea and increased gas production as signs of toxicosis. In general, the mother’s body simply “adjusts” the functioning of the internal organs, adapting them to new circumstances. But we also shouldn’t rule out all kinds of intestinal infections that enter the body when the immune system is weakened. During this period, it is advisable to exclude spicy, smoked, fried foods, and reduce the consumption of sweet and salty foods. Excessive amounts of salt will provoke swelling, which will put increased stress on the organs of the cardiovascular system.

Enlargement of the mammary glands, accompanied by engorgement, soreness and redness, indicates a hormonal reaction in the body to conception. This condition can last up to two to three weeks. The mammary glands are adjusted to breast-feeding. In this case, minor discharge from the glands of light yellow or white color is not excluded. This colostrum is the first portion of future milk for the baby. Such discharge should not cause concern when it comes to pregnancy, however, in ordinary life this phenomenon can be a symptom of disorders of the female reproductive system. In such cases, you should be examined by a mammologist.

A woman can experience lumbar pain during her period, however, when it is associated with nagging pain in the lower abdomen without menstruation, this can be regarded as one of the signs of pregnancy.

Increased urination, accompanied by pain, may be a symptom of worsening cystitis. Bladder like no other organ, it is the first to react to changes in the uterus, with which it actually comes into contact with the outer walls. If the uterus becomes agitated, which often happens in early pregnancy, a frequent urge to urinate appears.

After conception, many women have a high risk of inflammation of the urinary system. The kidneys are especially susceptible to infections. Therefore, lumbar pain can be a symptom of pyelonephritis. Increased pain in the lumbar region carries a high risk of miscarriage in the early stages. It is in the first trimester that frequent miscarriages occur. If there are some pathological manifestations of pregnancy, the woman is admitted to the hospital for “conservation”. Here doctors take care of her, continuously monitoring the slightest violations and preventing them.

Fatigue and continuous sleepiness in our time are not considered something special in the behavior of many young people, however, this is one of the signs of pregnancy. If a woman has not previously complained of such symptoms, then most likely this is a sign of pregnancy. The nature of drowsiness during pregnancy has not yet been fully elucidated. Most likely, this is caused by hormonal changes in the body, but one should not exclude psychosomatic reactions, when a woman subconsciously tunes in to preserving the embryo, trying to protect it from negative impacts from outside.

As the period increases, new symptoms will be added:

  • itching all over the abdomen;
  • swelling of the lower and upper extremities;
  • changes in appetite and food preferences;
  • more acute reaction to various odors;
  • gait changes;
  • new sleep positions;
  • metallic taste in the mouth;
  • the appearance of blush on the cheeks;
  • increased salivation;
  • itching on the inside of the palms;
  • skin rashes on the face and décolleté;
  • copious discharge of leucorrhoea from the vagina.

A pregnant woman's blood test will show an increased level of the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). This hormone is produced by placental tissues after embryonic implantation already 6-8 days after successful conception. Perhaps this is the surest sign of pregnancy.

It is not uncommon for a woman to become pregnant again during the lactation period. The first sign of pregnancy is a sharp reduction in production. breast milk, which immediately becomes noticeable during feeding. The taste of the milk also changes somewhat, and the baby may refuse breast milk altogether. This is how the body redistributes its resources, preparing for the next pregnancy.

Exacerbation of thrush in early pregnancy occurs in many women. You should not ignore or wait for thrush to go away on its own. Urgent treatment is necessary before the infection reaches the embryo. Treatment is prescribed by the observing gynecologist.

Ultrasonography

To definitively confirm that conception has occurred, an ultrasound examination is performed. Just a few decades ago, this procedure could only be dreamed of. Ultrasound devices began to appear in the post-Soviet countries only in the early 90s.

Now ultrasound is a widespread and accessible procedure to everyone. With its help, a quick diagnosis of almost all internal organs is carried out. IN antenatal clinic Ultrasound is prescribed as early as the fifth week of pregnancy. At this stage, it is still very difficult to determine the gender of the unborn child; you can only confirm the fact of conception. If parents insist on an additional ultrasound to determine the sex of the unborn baby, they are done at the twelfth week of pregnancy or later.

In cases where the observing doctor suspects pathological development of the fetus, ultrasound is performed more often to avoid possible risks. Table No. 1 shows the parameters of the embryo after ultrasound by week of pregnancy.

Should you terminate your pregnancy?

Sometimes a woman has to make a difficult choice between keeping the fetus or terminating the pregnancy. This is due to many objective and subjective factors. In any case, the final word in this difficult issue should remain with the woman.

During pregnancy, a lot of vital energy and body resources are expended. In addition to the fact that the growing embryo now requires increased life support, the mother's body undergoes significant losses. The situation is more complicated when there is nowhere to draw vital resources from. The weakened immune system of many modern girls does not allow pregnancy to be easily tolerated. The body is simply not ready for this. In this case, a decision may be made to terminate the pregnancy.

The presence of severe forms of chronic diseases, which tend to worsen during the period of conception, represents a high degree of risk for a pregnant woman. When it comes to a woman's life, abortion is inevitable. Such conditions can cause chronic pyelonephritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, chronic cholecystitis, heart failure, hepatitis, bronchial asthma, post-traumatic syndrome, diseases of the ligamentous-tendon system, epilepsy.

In cases where a pregnant woman has rubella, doctors recommend an abortion. This dangerous disease will inevitably affect embryonic development, depriving the body of the unborn baby of many life-support functions while still in the womb.

Help from a psychologist

Hormonal changes in the body, inevitable stressful situations during pregnancy and childbirth, as well as many subjective and objective factors immediately affect the mental state of a woman who has decided to become a mother. The closer the due date, the more anxious the pregnant woman becomes. And it is very sad if these days she is left to her own devices.

It’s probably not worth saying much about the fact that every pregnant woman should be surrounded by the care of her loved ones during this difficult period of her life. Unfortunately, there are often cases when a pregnant woman does not feel the support of her family, gets little rest, spends a lot of time “on her feet,” and continues to serve her family without reducing physical activity. Accumulating stress can trigger postpartum depression.

As soon as the baby is born, the mother's body releases a large number of hormones. Now another hormonal change begins, only in the reverse order. Following childbirth, the female reproductive system is adjusted to the lactation period. During this period, failures and non-compliance with accepted standards are common in the body.

Being in a state of postpartum depression, a woman can refuse the newborn child, ignore it, not breastfeed, and try not to touch the baby. Postpartum depression is very dangerous for women who decide to give birth early early age when the psyche is traumatized by numerous doubts about the need to have children at this age. A woman may even be on the verge of suicide. There's nothing shameful about it. These conditions can be stopped if the right measures are taken in time.

Today, a visit to a psychologist does not represent fear or shame for most people. Until recently, many people thought that by seeking advice from a psychologist, one could consider oneself almost crazy. Unfortunately, such prejudices were caused by the lack of awareness of our society, when public opinion was formed indiscriminately, one might say, “on the street,” and psychological knowledge was treated as pseudo-scientific. Now things are different. And it pleases.

A pregnant woman has the right to seek help from a psychologist at any time if she feels heightened feeling anxiety, experiencing insomnia, fears, aggravation of the general mental state. It is not at all necessary to inform family members about your visit to a psychologist for support.

Do's and don'ts in early pregnancy

Each person's body is very individual. And the symptoms of the same diseases can manifest themselves differently. Many women planning their first pregnancy often ask the question: can there be no signs of pregnancy in the early stages? The answer from experts is affirmative.

If a girl is planning a pregnancy, then in any case she will listen to her body every day. Not everyone experiences implantation bleeding. Sometimes it is so insignificant that you may not even notice a few drops of blood that came out, for example, during hygiene procedures.

When conception has occurred, and an ultrasound examination has confirmed this fact, you should carefully consider your further actions. Your diet and daily routine will come first. As early as possible, you should exclude tonic drinks that can cause miscarriage in the early stages, such as coffee, black tea, low-alcohol cocktails and beer. It is now necessary to control the consumption of salt and sugar. Increased swelling, which is difficult to avoid during pregnancy, will lead to shortness of breath, fatigue, joint pain, and drowsiness.

A pregnant woman should be protected from so-called “passive” smoking. Eliminate completely alcoholic drinks It’s hard to do these days. Sometimes it becomes necessary to take an alcohol tincture for medicinal purposes. Of course, such techniques must be coordinated with the supervising physician.

Pregnant women secrete a large amount of the hormone progesterone, which causes an increased formation of opaque, odorless vaginal discharge. Many girls experience similar conditions during the period of ovulation. With the end of menstruation, the discharge decreases and disappears completely. After delivery, the body behaves in a similar way.

However, you should pay attention to flaky discharge, accompanied by an unpleasant odor. These are signs of various sexually transmitted or fungal diseases. There is a high probability of fetal damage in such cases. A visit to the doctor is mandatory; self-medication is unacceptable. Many women, out of habit, begin to douche at home, which can lead to miscarriage. It must be remembered that douching is strictly prohibited at any stage of pregnancy!

If a brownish discharge is detected, an urgent consultation with a gynecologist is required. This is an alarming sign for a pregnant woman. IN in this case We are talking about the life of the mother and the high risk of miscarriage. Dark discharge may signal the “freezing” of the fetus. If you do not regularly collect data on the condition of the embryo during pregnancy, you may not notice the formation of various pathologies.

First signs of pregnancy

https://youtu.be/Rgsc5f3fVMk

Pregnancy from the very first week leaves its mark on a woman’s condition. After the fertilized egg attaches to the wall of the uterus, hormonal changes begin in the woman’s body.

They manifest themselves with certain symptoms that can be used to diagnose pregnancy at an early stage.

The most favorable time for conception is the period of ovulation, which occurs in the middle of the menstrual cycle. Ovulation occurs when the follicle ruptures and an egg ready for fertilization is released.

If for some reason there is a disruption in the menstrual cycle, the timing of ovulation may shift and conception may occur earlier or later than the middle of the cycle.

The mature egg enters the fallopian tube, which contains sperm. The most active of them penetrates the membrane of the egg and fertilizes it. Then it begins to move towards the uterine cavity. Along the way, the egg divides and by the time it enters the uterus it turns into a fertilized egg, consisting of several hundred cells.

Implantation of the fertilized egg occurs 7-10 days after ovulation.

After entering the uterus, the fertilized egg does not immediately attach to its wall, but remains in a “suspended” state for 2 days. During this time, it prepares the surface of the uterus for implantation, relaxing its tissue. This is necessary so that the walls of the uterus do not reject the foreign body.

More often, attachment occurs to the posterior wall of the uterus, since it is thicker, many vessels are concentrated in it and created Better conditions for the development of the embryo.

Implantation may fail for a number of reasons:

  • hormonal imbalance (change in the concentration of progesterone, estrogen, glucorticosteroids, prolactin, etc.);
  • unpreparedness of the endometrium (uterine mucosa) for implantation. The thickness of the endometrium for successful attachment of the fertilized egg must be at least 7 mm;
  • fibroids (benign tumor) of the uterus.

If the fertilized egg fails to implant, menstruation will begin and it will leave the uterus along with the menstrual flow.

Hormonal changes after implantation

After the implantation of the fertilized egg begins active work body, aimed at proper development child.

A woman faces hormonal changes, which affect the functioning of all body systems.

At the site of the burst follicle, it appears - this is a temporary formation responsible for the production of progesterone.

Progesterone is a hormone necessary for the implantation of a fertilized egg and the normal development of pregnancy. Malfunction of the corpus luteum can lead to miscarriage or.

During the division of a fertilized egg, the rudiments of the future embryo and membranes (chorion) appear. The chorion produces a special hormone - human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG).

Based on the presence of this hormone in the blood, pregnancy can be predicted with a high degree of probability. In rare cases, it is not associated with pregnancy, but with certain diseases.

Subjective first signs before delay

The first signs of pregnancy before a delay are based on the woman’s feelings.

They are characteristic of pregnancy, but their severity may vary: in some women they appear more strongly, in others they are absent altogether. Moreover, it does not matter whether it is the first, second or third pregnancy, any woman can feel early signs of pregnancy, regardless of age, nationality, social status, etc.

Even before your period is missed, the first sign of pregnancy may be chest pain. They appear at 1-2 weeks of pregnancy.

The breasts swell, become more sensitive, any touch causes pain.

The initial sign of pregnancy before the delay may be increased pigmentation of the nipples. This symptom does not always appear; in some cases, women do not feel any discomfort in the chest.

Another one, so to speak folk sign pregnancy, there may be slight bleeding from the genital tract.

The process of attachment of the egg to the wall of the uterus may be accompanied by implantation bleeding.

A woman may mistake it for premenstrual discharge. They can last from several hours to days.

The changed hormonal background becomes, which causes apathy, loss of strength and drowsiness.

Such early signs of pregnancy can accompany a woman throughout the entire first trimester of pregnancy. To these are added changes in the emotional state of the pregnant woman: tearfulness, irritability and anxiety appear.

Many women are concerned about the malaise characteristic of colds: headache, feeling of weakness, nasal discharge,...

These symptoms are caused by a temporary weakening of the immune system, characteristic of early pregnancy.

If a woman consults a doctor about an illness, she needs to inform him about the possibility of conception.

This will allow the doctor to select drugs that are safe in the early stages of pregnancy.

Accelerated blood circulation in the pelvic organs and changes in kidney function cause increased urination. If it is accompanied by a pulling or cutting pain, you should immediately consult a doctor. In this case, frequent urination may be a sign of the development of a genitourinary tract infection.

During pregnancy, blood flow to the pelvic organs increases and the uterus begins to grow.

An increase in the size of the uterus may be accompanied by a feeling of “fullness” in the abdomen, pain and tingling in the uterine area.

The primary sign of pregnancy before the delay may be diarrhea.

Diarrhea is not infectious and goes away quickly. In this way, the body reacts to the stress caused by pregnancy.

Don't worry about this - after a while the stool will recover. According to statistics, local gastrointestinal disorders in 65% of cases are related to obvious signs pregnancy before delay.

Looseness of the cervix, decreased turgor of the vaginal muscles. This is due to the action of progesterone, which helps relax muscle tissue.

Without waiting for an examination by a gynecologist, you can conduct a self-examination: insert a finger into the vagina and evaluate muscle tone. When palpated, in the event of pregnancy, the muscles will seem “boiled.”

Unusual signs of pregnancy include changes in taste preferences, excessive tearfulness, flatulence, heartburn, and decreased visual acuity.

Despite the abundance of signs indirectly indicating pregnancy, you may not experience any signs at all other than delay.

Personal experience

Let me start with the fact that I am a mother of 3 children and all 3 pregnancies were, so from the very first days after conception I listened to my body and carefully monitored all the changes that were taking place.

I would like to clarify that the early signs of pregnancy, which can occur 1-2 weeks after conception, are so subjective (even for one woman) that you should not try on all the sensations of other people on yourself.

So, for the first time, the earliest sign indicating pregnancy was pain in the mammary glands. The chest became swollen, became very sensitive and hurt so much that it was impossible to lie on the stomach. This didn't happen before. My chest, of course, hurt, but not much. It was this fact that inspired me, and he gave it.

Planning my second pregnancy lasted for six months. My health was fine. Before planning a pregnancy, my husband and I took the exam. But for some reason the test did not streak. I listened to my own body, and when my chest started to hurt, I ran for a test, but the results were negative. So, during the next cycle after ovulation, I noticed that my breasts did not hurt at all.

To be honest, I thought that this time my body decided to take a break and reward me with an anovulatory cycle. My chest never started to hurt. This time I didn’t even go for the test. However, it was this cycle that ended in pregnancy. And I did the test after the delay, and it showed a bright red second stripe.

Moreover, a few days after ovulation, I began to experience cystitis due to... I successfully cured my cystitis with Monural, and 2 weeks later I found out that I was pregnant. I don’t know if cystitis and colds can be called early signs of pregnancy. But I am glad that taking the antibiotic did not affect the child in any way.

The third time I got pregnant again the first time. Moreover, pregnancy occurred immediately in the next cycle after discontinuation of OC Regulon. This time the breasts were in normal condition. She began to swell slightly after ovulation. In principle, nothing foreshadowed pregnancy.

However, this time I set aside for myself the day when the embryo transfer was supposed to take place. On this day, my whole body felt weak, I wanted to lie down all the time and... By the way, this time the test did not show pregnancy before the delay. A weak second line appeared the second time on the 2nd day of the delay.

So, even for one woman, each new pregnancy manifests itself differently.

Ksenia, 34.

Objective signs of pregnancy before delay

One of the reliable signs of pregnancy before the delay is considered to be an increase in basal temperature(temperature in the rectum) above 37 ˚С.

The obtained measurement results may be correct if certain conditions are met.

Basal temperature is measured in the morning, immediately after waking up, without getting out of bed. Before this, the woman must lie down for at least 6 hours.

You cannot take measurements earlier than 2 hours after sexual intercourse, as the results will be incorrect.

The onset of pregnancy can be judged by the level of the hCG hormone. At home, its level in urine is determined using special tests.

In early pregnancy, a second faint line may appear on the test. In this case, it is necessary to repeat the tests over several days and monitor the change in the brightness of the stripes.

If the pregnancy is short, home tests may indicate that implantation has already occurred, but the level of hCG is still insufficient to detect it in the urine.

For correct results in the early stages, it is better to use with a sensitivity of 10 mIU/ml.

A false negative result can also occur for other reasons:

  • the test was spoiled or expired;
  • it was not the morning portion of urine that was used;
  • on the eve of the test, the woman drank a lot of liquid or took diuretics;
  • kidney disease;

If you suspect pregnancy, but a home test shows a negative result, a blood test is necessary.

HCG is detected in it earlier than in urine. Blood for analysis is taken from a vein, the analysis is given in the morning on an empty stomach or 4-5 hours after a meal at another time of day.

To confirm the result, it is necessary to take hCG over time. In the case of a normal intrauterine pregnancy, the level of the hCG hormone in the blood will constantly increase.

After the first signs of pregnancy appear, you must wait until your menstrual cycle is delayed and consult a doctor.

He will prescribe an ultrasound, which will clearly establish the fact of pregnancy and determine its development (uterine, developing or frozen).
