Our people have always been famous for their love for holidays. There is nothing surprising in this. After all, Russian people are distinguished by their friendliness and hospitality. The general celebration of various celebrations unites all segments of the population and helps to feel like a part of a great state, united by a single impulse. Holidays in June 2018 in Russia will once again confirm this.

How we relax and work in June

In the first month of summer, many holidays will be celebrated in Russia. Among them:

Don't forget about religious holidays. There will be more than a dozen of them in June, given that Russia is a multi-religious state. The total number of holidays will be 103 units.

The production calendar gives a clear picture of how the Russian people will work and rest. So, having familiarized yourself with it, you get the following picture:

According to the legislation of the Russian Federation, 06/12/18 is an official non-working day in connection with the celebration of Russia Day. This year this date falls on Tuesday. In order not to interrupt the weekend, the Government decided to move Saturday 06/09/18 to Monday 06/11/18. Thus, on Saturday, Russians will have to go to work and then rest for three days continuously:

  • 06/10/18 – Sunday;
  • 06/11/18 – Monday;
  • 06/12/18 – Tuesday.

It is worth noting that on Saturday you will have to work an hour less, since this day will be a pre-holiday day.

It should be noted that Russians work in different industries in different ways and therefore the number of working hours will be different:

  • If your work week is 40 hours, then in June you will be on duty for 159 hours. This figure is obtained as follows: multiply the number of working days (20) by the length of the working day (8) and subtract the number of part-time working days - (20 x 8 - 1);
  • If you have a 36-hour work week, then you will have to be at work 143 hours. This figure is calculated similarly to the previous case: (20 x 7.2 - 1);
  • With a 24 hour work week, you will need to be at work 95 hours. This number is obtained after the following calculations: (20 x 4.8 – 1).

Main holidays of June: calendar

06/01/18, Friday- this day will be celebrated wonderful holidayChildren Protection Day. It's a pity that this holiday is not a national holiday. You could go with your children to attractions, to a park, to a children's cafe with ice cream. After all, our children really lack our attention. A children's day off would be a great addition to our calendar. The history of this holiday began in 1925. But it became especially relevant after the Second World War, when a huge number of orphans appeared in our country. Today on this day it is customary to visit boarding schools and orphanages to give gifts and everything they need to children left without parental care.

On this day people all over the world celebrate Parents Day. It is to them that we owe our lives. True, there are situations when children abandon their parents. This day is dedicated to such people. It’s not for nothing that these holidays are united. After all, children and parents remain united at the genetic and emotional level. We must strive to ensure that this connection is never broken.

06.06.18, Wednesday- we will all celebrate Russian Language Day. This holiday was established to popularize our native language. We should be proud of our language, which was spoken by great people throughout the world, such as: Pushkin, Lermontov, Nekrasov, Lomonosov, Mendeleev, Tchaikovsky, etc. This day is also sometimes called Pushkin’s day, they remember , what contribution this poet made to the popularization of the Russian language.

06/12/18, Tuesday- the entire Russian people are celebrating Russia Day. This is a relatively young holiday that arose along with the formation of our state - the Russian Federation. Despite this, the holiday is widely celebrated in our country. In the beginning, formal events were associated with this day, in which officials of various ranks mainly took part. At this time, people went into nature and rejoiced at the extra day off.

Over the years, the patriotism of the Russian people began to grow. This was facilitated by the country's success in many areas of life. Russians began to be proud of their country, which a short time literally “rose from my knees.” Today is Russia Day for real folk holiday. He is awaited with great impatience in our country. They take place all over the country public events, where millions of Russians gather to rejoice together for the successes of their Motherland. This year the government made a real surprise for all residents of our country. We will all rest for three days. This will be enough to take part in interesting events in honor of this great day.

22.06.18 – this day is impossible not to mention. After all, in our country it is celebrated - Day of Remembrance and Sorrow. It was on this day that the Second World War began, which affected every family. In the struggle for the independence of our Motherland, millions of people died not only in Russia, but also in the republics of the former USSR. This holiday reminds us all how expensive the world and the blue sky above our heads are.

There are more than four dozen holidays in the first month of summer, significant dates and events that are celebrated not only in our Fatherland, but also have an international status.

Several of them fall on the first day - World Parents Day, Northern Fleet Day of the Russian Federation and even World Milk Day. But the first of June has a special place on World Children's Day. And this is quite natural. Today on our planet every third inhabitant is under the age of fifteen, and in total there are over 1.8 billion children on the five continents of the Earth. In Russia there are almost twenty-seven and a half million children under the age of eighteen. Children are our future, we must take care of them, educate them, and do everything to ensure that they receive an education, including higher education, because they are the ones who in the future determine the fate of all humanity. This holiday is one of the oldest on the planet - it was initiated back in 1925 by the World Conference on the Welfare of Children, then held in Geneva. The holiday even has its own flag!
June 5 is World Environment Day. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972. This decision is based on the so-called “Cop Appeal” addressed to the UN Secretary General, signed by 2,200 scientists and cultural figures from twenty-three countries, alarmed by the state of the environment in which humanity lives. There are millions of plants, factories, and other enterprises on the planet that pollute the atmosphere. As a result of the insane use of freon in household appliances, ozone holes are formed over the planet, allowing solar ultraviolet radiation, which is destructive for all living things, to reach the Earth. The water of rivers, lakes and other bodies of water must be purified and chlorinated before use - a lot of problems! Environmental protection is extremely important, and on June 5 the state of the environment will be addressed Special attention, measures are developed and then implemented to truly protect it.
June 12 is Russia Day. Until 2002, it was called differently - Russian Independence Day. Closely connected with the adoption of the “Declaration on State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation”, adopted in 1994. With the collapse of the USSR, the country's symbols of power also changed. The red banner with a hammer and sickle was replaced by a tricolor of white (from top to bottom), blue and red. The three-headed eagle with golden crowns also returned to us. The state has returned to the capitalist path of development, but the social status of the population is a priority. Although, admittedly, it has many problems - one of the lowest pensions in the world, public sector salaries, and so on. There is a long way to go to improve this situation. However, the holiday is celebrated annually on a grand scale.
June 14 is World Blood Donor Day. It was established by several international health-related organizations in 2004. Different situations happen in life. For example, a person is wounded, he bleeds, it needs to be replaced. There is no way to do this without donors. That is why there are donor centers around the world and in our country. Some people donate blood for free, while others will be given money for it. The event is dedicated to the birthday of the remarkable Austrian immunologist Karl Landsteined (1868-1843), who was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930 for the discovery of human blood groups. The world's first transfusion (500 milligrams) was carried out by the equally talented English doctor James Blundell back in 1818
June 22 - Day of Remembrance and Sorrow. It was established in our country by Presidential Decree in 1996 and is associated with the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, which lasted from 1941 to 1945 and ended with the crushing defeat of Hitler's fascism and the capture of Berlin by the valiant Soviet army. After which, during a military parade on Red Square, captured German banners with the world-hated swastika were thrown at the foot of the Mausoleum! The Second World War took with it over 52 million human lives, 26 million of them were citizens of the USSR - both soldiers and civilians. On the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, the country pays tribute to the memory of the victims of Hitlerism.
June 25 is the Day of Friendship and Unity of the Slavs. There are many of them on the planet - Russians, Belarusians, Ukrainians, Poles, Czechs, Serbs and so on - more than 270 million. When they are united, no enemy is afraid of them! Unfortunately, this does not always happen. And this was especially clearly proven by the Second World War, when Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovakia and other Slavic states fought on Hitler’s side. But they did not benefit from the alliance with fascism - after fierce battles they also found themselves in ruins and suffered great casualties. And the Slavic peoples should take this cruel lesson into account!
But on June 27, the planet celebrates one of the most amazing holidays - World Fisheries Day. He has countless fans! Millions are patiently waiting for good luck, happiness and luck near the oceans and seas, lakes, rivers, artificial reservoirs. And how they rejoice, like children, at every fish they catch! The holiday was established in 1984 in Rome by the International Conference for the Development and Regulation of Fisheries. And it has been celebrated since 1985.
June 30 is the Day of the Economist of Belarus. Established by Presidential Decree in 2000. The question is whether the country needs a planned economy, or will the market solve all the problems of its development? - still causes controversy. Our Slavic brothers believe that we cannot do without planning, and therefore we need competent economists and higher educational institutions to train them. During the times of the USSR, in the union republic, as well as in the power as a whole, the State Planning Committee existed and worked effectively. After the destruction of the great country it was transformed into State Committee in Economics and Planning. And in 1994, the Ministry of Economics was formed instead. The result is that everything was not handed over to the market. Elements of planning and control by the state remain. Perhaps that is why Belarus is developing steadily. It is connected with Russia by the status of a union state. And today, even more so, the republic needs economists, who are trained, among other things, by fraternal Russia.

August holidays

August 1: All-Russian collector's day
August 1 is celebrated as All-Russian Cash Cashier's Day. Cash collectors are people on whom the reliability and safety of funds and material assets largely depends. The work of a cash collector is extremely difficult. He must be, as they say, a jack of all trades: not only an experienced security guard, but also a cashier who knows all forms of documents necessary for the transfer of valuables, stamps, and details. He is also a specialist in working with complex banking equipment (ATMs of various designs, electronic exchange offices) and, finally, a loader. After all, packaged valuables can be very heavy, weighing up to 50 kilograms (for example, coins - fleet revenue or bullion precious metals) or, conversely, fragile (cassettes in ATMs). In 1988, the service acquired the status of an independent legal entity, subordinate to the Bank of Russia and being its structural entity. The duties of cash collectors include collecting, guarding and delivering cash and other valuables to the bank's cash desk. The word "collection" comes from the Italian incassare, which means "to put in a box."

August 14: The origin (wear and tear) of the honorable trees of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord. Beginning of the Dormition Fast
August 15: Archaeologist's Day
Despite the fact that the history of this holiday is not connected with any events and discoveries and it is not a state holiday or official holiday, archaeologists mark him as professional. Archeology is a completely separate science. All historical events are established either from written sources or from archaeological data. Very, very few written messages are preserved, and sometimes more everyday material than one can imagine. In Russia, this science began to develop in the middle of the 19th century, when Count Alexei Sergeevich Uvarov became interested in archeology. At first, he did not have the slightest idea about the technology of excavation. But it was his research that formed the basis for the further development of the science of antiquities.

Day of Remembrance for Victims of Fascism
The Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Fascism is the Day of Remembrance of tens of millions of people who perished as a result of a gigantic, inhuman experiment. These are millions of soldiers whom the fascist leaders pitted against each other, but even more - civilians who died under bombs, from disease and from hunger. There is no country that would benefit from the rule of the Nazis, there is no nation that would be enriched materially or spiritually as a result of their rule. Since 1962, it has been customary to consider every second Sunday in September as the International Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Fascism. This day was determined specifically in September, since this month marks two dates associated with the Second World War - the day of its beginning and its complete end. This was one of the reasons for establishing a day of mourning on a September Sunday.
Programmer's Day
