We knitted the hat in two threads, for this we need to first divide the skein into 2 parts, so unwind half. It will be more difficult to knit from one skein; to do this, take one thread from the outside and pull the other from the end.
You will need two types of knitting needles: circular and straight. Choose the number of tools in accordance with the thickness of the yarn you have chosen, the advice of a sales consultant will help you with this. In our case, knitting needles No. 3. You also need a knitting needle, which you will use to sew the open loops of the cap.
Before you start knitting, you need to measure the circumference of the child’s head, in our case it is 50 cm. The hat should be made a little tighter, since the knitted fabric will stretch a little, about 2 cm.
When you cast on stitches for the first row, use straight needles. You need to collect 110 of them.
This hat will not have seams, so the loops need to be transferred to circular knitting needles, then you need to knit an elastic band - the first row. It is knitted in a two by two pattern, so two purls and two knits will alternate.

When you steam the hat, hold the iron suspended and should not touch the knitted fabric. When processing the main thread, one end should be left approximately five times longer than the length of the seam.
Now you need to take a knitting needle and point the ends of two knitting needles to the right. Sew the loops from right to left, removing them from the knitting needles gradually.
