How to knit an envelope for a newborn

We cast on 18 loops and knit with the main pattern, decreasing a loop in each purl row. We crochet the edge of the resulting triangle. Place the triangle with its wide edge toward the center of the knitted strip, connect the edges, and sew it in.

We thread 12 long threads into the opposite side of the strip. We form 3 parts from them and weave a braid. When the straps are long enough, tie a knot and open the tassel.
