More and more hats began to appear on the Internet knitted with a minimum number of patterns. They can be knitted in knit or garter stitch, plain or English rubber band, with simple with plaits, small patterns on the canvas or without them at all. It is for lovers of such hats that we have collected several stylish and fashionable models.

Two-tone knitted hat with fur pompom

Hat with a triangular pattern on the front fabric

The pattern consists of 36 loops, this is 1 repeat. Those. To knit a hat you need to repeat the rapport 2 times. Description and diagram of the header from olga_ipaeva_knit. You can vary the width of the hat yourself by increasing or decreasing the number of loops between crossed loops. The hat in the photo is knitted from Gazzal Rock-n-Roll in 2 threads, on knitting needles 3 and 4.5. Cover the top of the head as in a regular 4-blade hat.

Cast on 80 stitches on size 4 circular needles. Close the circle and knit 1x1 rib for 14 rows.
In the last row, increase 11 stitches evenly.
Switch to needles No. 5 and then knit according to the pattern:
Row 1: * k8 sts, purl 2 sts, slip 1 st without knitting, purl 2 sts. * - repeat until the end of the row.
Row 2: * K8, P2, K1, P2. * - repeat until the end of the row.
Row 3: * k8 sts, purl 2 sts, slip 1 st without knitting, purl 2 sts. * - repeat until the end of the row.
Row 4: * Slip 4 stitches onto an auxiliary needle before work, then knit 4 stitches, return the removed stitches to the knitting needle and knit them, purl 2, knit 1. p., 2 p.p. * - repeat until the end of the row.
Row 5: * k8 sts, purl 2 sts, slip 1 st without knitting, purl 2 sts. * - repeat until the end of the row.
Row 6: * K8, P2, K1, P2. * - repeat until the end of the row.
Row 7: * K8 sts, purl 2 sts, slip 1 st without knitting, purl 2 sts. * - repeat until the end of the row.
Row 8: * K8 sts, purl 2 sts, slip 1 st without knitting, purl 2 sts. * - repeat until the end of the row.
Row 9: * Slip 4 stitches onto an auxiliary needle before work, then knit 4 stitches, return the removed stitches to the knitting needle and knit them, purl 2, knit 1. p., 2 p.p. * - repeat until the end of the row.
Next, repeat rows 5 to 9 four times.
Switch to double needles and start shaping the crown. To do this, knit every 4th and 5th stitch together. After 2 rows every 3rd and 4th. When there are only a few stitches left on the knitting needles, tighten them with thread.

Knitted hat with a relief pattern of strands

Cap with simple braids 1

Yarn ODETTE 50g / 90m,
Composition: 30% viscose, 10% angora, 15% merino wool, 45% acrylic, 80 grams.
Knitting needles: 3.25 (for elastic) and 4.5 (for main fabric)

I knitted the hat in turning rows. For an eight-year-old child, I cast on 106 stitches (of which 2 edge stitches) on knitting needles No. 3.25, knitted 14 rows with a 1x1 elastic band, and in the last row made 1 increase = 107 stitches in total. Then I switched to 4.5 knitting needles. The author of the cap is Liydmilka from SM

Pattern diagram:

Pattern for rotating knitting a hat; for circular knitting you just need to remove the edge stitches - the 1st and 23rd loops

Cap with simple braids 2

The hat begins by knitting an elastic band with 2x2 thin knitting needles. The elastic band is knitted to the desired length, then switch to knitting needles 1.5 times thicker and knit according to the pattern.

Pattern diagram, as an option:

The pattern shows the front and back rows. The width of the motif is 17 loops! Repeat in height from the 1st to the 8th row!

Symbols for the diagram:

EMPTY CELL - purl loop (purl in knit rows, knit in purl rows)

knit (knit in front rows, purl in purl rows)

Cross 6 loops to the left (leave 3 loops on an auxiliary needle before work

Cross 6 loops to the right (leave 3 loops on an auxiliary needle at work , knit the next 3 loops, then 3 loops with aux. knitting needles)

Remove the loop without knitting, the working thread is BEHIND the work!

Using a hat as an example simple braid 4 loops are knitted, then 2 purl stitches, 2 knit stitches in the middle, garter stitch of 2 loops between the braids. In general, in the photo of the hat everything is visible without explanation.

Meet the Dawn hat and mittens set by DROPS Design

Sizes: S/M - M/L
Head size: approx. 54/56 - 56/58 cm
Mittens (length): approx. 28-30 cm.

For the entire set you will need yarn: DROPS SKY (alpaca, polyamide, wool; 50g=190mt) 200-200 grams each, color 13 (light jeans blue).

Tools:
Knitting needles 3 mm circular (40 or 60 cm), stockings.
Knitting needle for braids.

Density:
23 stitches wide and 48 rows high in garter stitch - 10x10 cm.

Garter stitch in rows:
1 rib = 2 rows of knit stitches.

Decrease 1 - for the header:
Knit all decreases on the right sides!
After the marker: 2 knit stitches along with broaching.
Before marker: 2 knit stitches together.

Additions - for mittens:
Add yarn overs and knit a yarn over in the next row with a crossed loop.

A cap
Knitting in straight and reverse rows.
= 114-120 pt (inclusive of edging). Knit 3 ribs in garter stitch.
Next row from right side: 39-42pts in garter stitch, A.1a (= 36sts) and 39-42pts in garter stitch.
When pattern A.1a is knitted vertically once, it will be 119-125 pt.
Next, pattern A.1b (= 41pt) over A.1a.
Continue in this sequence until 21 cm (finish with a whole repeat).
Place 6 markers in garter stitch: knit 3-6pts in garter stitch, RM (place marker), * 12pts in garter stitch, RM *, repeat from *-*2 times only, knit 12pts in garter stitch, knit A.1b, as before, knit 12 stitches in platter stitch, * RM, 12pts in platter stitch *, repeat from *-* only 2 times, RM, knit 3-6 pts in platter stitch (= 6 markers in total).
Then decrease by 1 stitch after the first 3 markers and by 1 stitch before the next 3 markers - SEE DECREASES 1.
Decrease like this in every 4th row only 4-5 times, then knit A.1c over A.1b and continue decreasing near the marker in every 2nd row 6 more times = 25pts.
Knit a row, knitting all loops together in 2 = 13 stitches.
Cut the thread, pull the end through the remaining loops, pull and fasten.
Cap height approx. 26-27 cm.
Sew the hat along the edges.

Mittens
Circular knitting.
Left mitten:
= 44-47pt on double needles. We knit 3 ribs in garter stitch.
Continue with next round: 1st stitch, A.2a (= 24pts) and 19-22pts.
When pattern A.2a is knitted once in height, it will be 49-52 pt.
Continue knitting A.2b over A.2a.
When it is 10 cm, add 4 stitches evenly in garter stitch = 53-56 stitches.
Continue working on the patterns as before.
At a height of 12-13 cm - add 1 stitch on each side of the first loop at the beginning of the wedge circle thumb(see above Raises).
So add on each side in every 2nd circle only 6-7 times = 65-70pts.
Next around the circle, remove 13-15 loops for the wedge on the secondary needle. Continue knitting in the round, casting on 1 new stitch behind the slipped stitches = 53-56 sts.
At an altitude of approx. 25-27 cm (3 cm remains to the end), make decreases:
On the next row, start working pattern A.2c over A.2b and decrease 3 stitches evenly in garter stitch every 3rd round a total of 6 times = 12-15 stitches.
Next round: knit all stitches together in 2 = 6-8 stitches.
Cut the thread and pull the end through the remaining loops. Pull and secure.
Mitten height approx. 28-30 cm.

Finger:
Remove the 13-15 stitches set aside on the stocking needles and raise another = 16-18 stitches along the edge of the hole. We knit with scarf knitting in a circle up to 6-7 cm, in the next. row knit all loops together 2 - 8-9pt.
Cut the thread, pull the end through the remaining loops, pull and fasten.

Right mitten:
Knit mirror left; work A.3 instead of A.2 and increase finger wedge stitches on each side of the first garter stitch after pattern A.3.

Knitted hat *Serpentine*

by spider_knit. You can knit a hat of any density, not just from Gazzal Tango, but for this you need to knit a sample; I recommend knitting a sample with 29 loops (27 pattern loops and two edge loops). The sample should include 1x1 elastic with classic loops (it is better to make an Italian set of loops) and two repeats in the height of the main pattern.

The pattern diagram in the carousel is given for circular knitting. When knitting in turns, you need to knit the pattern as follows:

Knit the 1st row after the elastic.

Turn the knitting and knit: edge * remove purl thread before work, purl 2, again remove 1 purl. , then knit 5 purl*.

Part 1. Calculations

First, we will take measurements of our sample after the WTO, dry. Separate elastic band: width in cm and number of loops and height in cm and number of loops. We do the same with the main pattern.
I have a 1x1 elastic band: 27p-8.5 cm; 15 rows - 4.5 cm, so in a square 1x1 cm 3.18 loops and 3.33 rows
My head circumference is 55 cm. I will knit the elastic with a turn-up, so I multiply the width of the elastic by 2, i.e. the elastic band will be 6 cm in finished form, which means we knit 12 cm.
Calculation: 55cm (OG) x 3.18 loops (how many loops are 1 cm wide) - 15% for tightness. Love weaker - subtract 10%, love straight reinforced concrete on the heads - subtract 20% (for children it’s important if girls don’t have braids). I got 149 loops. We select a number that is a multiple of 9 and close to 149 - for me this is 144 loops. We calculate the height of the elastic - 12 cm (height) x 3.33 (number of rows in 1 cm) - we get 40 rows and plus a cast-on edge.

Using an Italian cast-on, cast on the number of stitches based on your calculation (I have 144 stitches). Knit the first two rows with a hollow elastic band, then close the knitting in a circle and place a marker for the beginning of the row

Part 2. Header body/all photos in the application

Important .We start knitting the body of the hat from the second row of the pattern and knit “braids” after the 11th row according to the pattern. Having knitted the elastic to the desired height, we need to make increases in the fabric of the hat for a loose fit and switch to knitting needles 0.5 sizes larger, in the sample I am the main one I knitted the pattern with 3.5 knitting needles. Of course, you must calculate your knitting density using the knitted pattern.

My knitting density for the main pattern was 10 cm, 26 loops, i.e. I have 2.6 loops in 1 cm. On an OG of 55 cm, this turns out to be 2.6 x 55 = 143 loops, but your hat will fit directly on your head. This option is suitable if you are knitting a hat for a man, a child, or if you yourself like to wear this style of hat. If you like the fit to be a little loose, then it’s better to add from 5 to 15 percent to the resulting figure (I added 15%, because my knitted hat will have a lining and this needs to be taken into account and I don’t like clingy hats) . That. I got it: 143 + 15% = 164 loops, I rounded to a multiple of 9 (pattern repeat) and got 162 loops. Let me remind you that I have 144 loops on rib knitting needles; to get 162 loops, I need to increase 18 loops.

162 loops are 18 repeats.

That. I need to perform an increase in each rapport.

Rapport with an increase: remove the loop behind the front wall, knit two loops from the front loop, remove the loop behind the front wall, 5 front loops.

If you have difficulty with such an increase in loops, then you can increase through an equal number of loops, but in this case you knit the first row of the pattern and increase in it by knitting two loops from one front one.
Knit the body of the hat to the required height.

Part 3:Calculating the height of the body of the hat

The height of the body of the hat is calculated as follows: the desired height of the hat minus the height of 14 rows (we measure according to the sample).

Decrements are made according to the pattern in odd rows (in which we knit ALL the loops and overlap the braids). Deductions are made in EVERY rapport. The place of decrease in rapport is indicated in the diagram (the diagram shows ONLY ODD ROWS WITH DECREASES, even rows are knitted according to the pattern), the diagram is in the appendix. In the diagram, three ticks are our braids. The third is the first braid of the next rapport

Decrease is ALWAYS performed before overlapping the braid as follows: Knit stitch, leave one loop in front of the braid unknitted, transfer it to the right knitting needle, remove the braid loop onto an additional loop BEFORE work, transfer the next loop after the braid loop to the right knitting needle without knitting, do not knit the braid loop When knitting on the left knitting needle, we transfer two unknitted loops from the right knitting needle to the left knitting needle, knit them together, then knit a braid loop.

Photo of the process of decreases in the carousel (photo 3,4,5)

In this way, you decrease 6 times (see the row diagram), only the braid loops remain on the knitting needles.

In the 7th row, knit two loops together, in the next row close the loops with a needle and tighten well so that a hole does not form.

If you cannot tighten the loops well, you can re-thread the needle and sew the loops of the crown, then tighten.
serpentine hat ready. All you have to do is complete the OBE and wear it with pleasure.

A hat with a simple pattern in 2 hours

Description of the blue and gray hat with photo.

These hats can be knitted from any yarn of sufficient thickness (100 m x 100 g is ideal. I love the 100% popsicle wool from Drops and 100% Perun alpaca in these hats.

Take knitting needles No. 6-7 for this yarn, circular, straight - it’s an individual matter. You can even knit in turning rows and then sew. I knit on short circular needles or on long line circular needles using the magicloop method. And you need to knit a sample! The density of this pattern is 16 loops in 10 cm. Author: Tatiana MK @tanya_svazala

Knitting pattern in the round:
1st row: *3 purl loops, 1 knit loop (Do not remove the loop, thread at work)*, repeat from * to * until the end of the row.
2nd row: *P3, k1*, repeat from * to * until the end of the row.

For turning knitting, edge loops are not included in the number of loops!:
1st row: *3 purl loops, 1 knit loop (remove the loop without knitting, thread at work)*, repeat from * to * until the end of the row.
2nd row: *P1 3 persons.p.*
Pattern repeat 4 loops x 2 rows

We cast on 64 loops on the knitting needles (I have size 6). With a different density, the quantity will change accordingly, but it should be a multiple of 4. We knit with a simple 1x1 elastic band about 9 cm.
Then we move on to the main pattern (I do not change the needles, the number of loops also does not change) and knit another 13-14 cm.

Decreases

Decreases should begin in an odd row: 1st row of decreases: * 1 purl stitch, 2 purl stitches together, 1 knit stitch dropped * repeat from * to * until the end of the row
2nd row of decreases: *P2, knit 1*, repeat from * to * until the end of the row.
3rd row of decreases: * 2 purl stitches, 1 knit stitch * repeat from * to * to the end of the row
We knit the 4th and 6th row of decreases as the 2nd row of decreases
We knit the 5th row of decreases as the 3rd row of decreases
7th row of decreases: *2 purl stitches together, 1 knit stitch dropped* repeat from * to * to the end of the row.
8th row of decreases: * purl 1, knit 1 * repeat from * to * to the end of the row
9th row of decreases *1 purl, 1 knit stitch* repeat from * to * to the end of the row.

Knit according to the pattern

Notes:
The hat is knitted in circular rows from bottom to top.
The hem inside the panel with strands is achieved by making yarn overs immediately after the cast-on row and then, before finishing, lowering the central purl loop of the pattern to the yarn over on the rim of the hat.

Start knitting

Headband:
Cast on 156 (172, 188) stitches using a German twisted cast-on
Place a marker and join the stitches in a circular row.
Installation circular row: *1 purl loop, - 6 times, knit 2 loops together, 1 yarn over, knit 2 loops together, - 6 times, place a marker; repeat from * 3 more times - there are 152 (168, 184) loops on the needles.
Tie 3 cm with a twisted elastic band.

Main part:
Installation round row: [knit stitches to marker, marker, 1st row of harness panel to marker, marker] - 4 times.
Continue knitting in the established order, knitting the panel with strands between the markers, and all other loops in stockinette stitch, until the knitting height reaches 15.5 cm, ending with the 8th row of the panel.

Cut the thread, gather the remaining loops with the end of the thread, pull tightly and secure the thread.

Thread the ends of the threads. Steam the hat.

Remember how, as a child, my mother forced me to wear a hat during the cold season. And we took off the hated headdress as soon as we were out of sight of our parents. Moms are right: your head must be protected from frost and sun. In addition, a hat is a way to demonstrate individuality, or, conversely, involvement in a particular clan or community. In different historical periods, the shape of the headdress was subject to fashion trends or style directions. Decorated with feathers, ribbons, jewelry, flowers and even cages with live birds, with veils, tassels - all kinds of luxurious structures people wore on their heads for the sake of fashion.

Humanity has come up with many ways to create caps, hats, and beanies. One of the ways is knitting - knitting or crocheting. When choosing a model, you should take into account individual characteristics - face shape, style of wearing a hat. The catalog contains free patterns of models for every taste and season.

What patterns are used for knitted hats

For creating knitted hats use a variety of methods and patterns. The choice of patterns and knitting method directly depends on the creator’s idea and the final goal. Often used for knitting hats the following types patterns:

  • Relief patterns.Winter warm hats for women, men and children are excellently obtained using relief patterns from braids. Such patterns give the product volume, which retains heat. The choice of relief patterns is huge, you just need to make the right choice so that on a small object the beauty of the motif of intersecting braids is demonstrated in full.
  • Rubber band or eraser. One of the types relief pattern- knitting with an elastic band. By alternating purl and knit stitches in a certain rhythm (1x1, 2x2, etc.), a dense and elastic knitted fabric. The “elastic band” pattern can be used both independently and to decorate the lower part of the product to create a fit between the bottom of the hat and the head.
  • Colored patterns. Colored jacquard patterns, also called Norwegian, are also suitable for knitting hats for the cold season. Broaches on the wrong side of the product create additional thickness. Winter models are knitted from wool. Warm types of hats are knitted in two threads or two hats are sewn together.
  • Openwork motifs. Light, openwork patterns are suitable for elegant women's berets of various sizes. In addition to hats for the spring - autumn season, openwork knitting is used to create Panama hats and summer hats.

Types and main differences of hats

Classifying the types of hats is a difficult task. The models have many common features, and the variety of finishes negates attempts to streamline the variety of hats.

  • Small knitted hat. Fits the head tightly, without pompoms or other decorative elements. Derived from balaclavas - hats worn under a helmet to soften blows. A convenient item of clothing for representatives of professions who are forced to wear special protective helmets on their heads: helmets, welding masks. A type of small knitted balaclava hat is a balaclava. Often dark colors, knitted with an elastic band.
  • Beanie. Beanie hats are a type of knitted hat, but looser. Originated in the same way as the type of professional clothing in Europe. For some time they were considered a mandatory attribute of the student uniform, and had the colors of the educational institution. Freshmen wore yellow, and the process of changing from a yellow beanie to a cap in the colors of the Alma Mater is a kind of initiation.
  • Tuke. It has the appearance of a knitted tube, tapering towards the ends. Worn in two layers - one half nested inside the other, with a small turn-up. Distribution received from Canadian hats.
  • Willow hat. The next variety is small knitted hats, beanies, bundles. It gained popularity and name in the 90s among fans of the Finnish group HIM. The leader of the group, Ville Valo, had such a hat.
  • Hat-sock. This hat is a hat made of thick, thin knitwear. Looks like a sock on your head. Hence the name.
  • Stocking hat. A stocking cap is similar to a sock, but much longer. The end of the hat is worn like a scarf, wrapped around the neck.
  • Hat with pompom. If you sew a decorative element in the form of a pompom on top of a small knitted hat or bundle, you will get a hat with a pompom. At the beginning of its existence, it was considered an attribute of children's clothing. In the middle of the last century, such hats began to be worn by football fans in England, and, at first, they were considered a sign of bad taste and a challenge to society.
  • Beret. Soft, loose-fitting hat. It differs in volume depending on the knitting and yarn used. Initially it was also used by the military - it is convenient to wear under a helmet and tidy up hair. Berets are popular among representatives of creative professions.
  • Peruvian hat. A cap-shaped hat with ears and ties. Often knitted jacquard pattern. Such hats were and are worn by Indians in the Andes.
  • Monmouth hat. Round knitted wool and felted hat with small brim. Due to the manufacturing technology, it became practically waterproof. Therefore, it was used by English fishermen in the 16th-17th centuries.
  • Turban hat. A headdress reminiscent of a traditional oriental turban.

This division is arbitrary, because depending on the preferences of the owner, hats can combine common features from several models.

Selection of threads and knitting needles for autumn and winter

Threads and knitting needles are selected for the intended hat and purpose. Thick yarn is used for winter models. And the use of super thick wick yarn and large number knitting needles allows you to knit very loose, voluminous patterns. The knitting density depends on the pattern. Knit a sample, depending on the result, select knitting needles.

Using circular knitting needles, hats are knitted without a seam; this is important for making berets.

Hat decorations

In addition to knitting, shape and pattern, hats can be further decorated decorative details- pompoms, tassels, spirals, knitted flowers. In addition to volumetric elements, the hat is decorated with embroidery or appliqué. The choice of decor depends on the model, style of headdress and personal preferences.

For every representative of the fair sex, a knitted hat is not just a mandatory wardrobe attribute that helps to keep warm, but also an integral component of a stylish winter look. You should choose a knitted accessory based on the following criteria: color scheme, material, style, accompanying pattern/ornament . You can find out below how to knit a hat yourself with knitting needles for a woman and develop new models for 2018-2019, focusing on elastic patterns and photos.

Knitted hats for women 2018-2019 for the winter from thick yarn

Today, being fashionable and attractive while maintaining your unique individuality is not an easy task. This is why every girl begins to choose a hat long before the onset of cold weather: aesthetics should not become a cause of discomfort, it must certainly look elegant, but at the same time remain practical and comfortable.

Fashionable hats made with large knitting look very interesting. Such products are incredibly warm and can be worn for several seasons.

ABOUT The volume adds casualness to the look, without compromising the standards of comfort during wear. In order to create a truly unique and unique product, you should resort to handmade. Experienced needlewomen can bring to life the most daring ideas and decorate a hat with prints and complex patterns.

Beginners should follow the diagrams given in magazines, or step-by-step video lessons in order to understand how to knit a voluminous hat for a woman.

Voluminous knitted items, which are at the peak of popularity this season, along with items made in the oversized style, can be made in casual style, sports, as well as business and romantic. The expected trend characterizing the new 2018 models is the return of sophisticated feminine looks.

\

Today, the most current models of knitted hats made from thick yarn are:

  • with lapels (like a cap, stocking or regular knit, without accompanying ornaments and decorations, double or single);
  • beanie hat;
  • "marshmallow";
  • hat with ear flaps;
  • snood hat;
  • beret;
  • cap;
  • hat;
  • "turban"/"turban".

A practical and comfortable winter headdress made of thick threads, with their proper selection, can advantageously focus attention on the fragility of the figure and balance the proportions.

Products may have the following characteristic features:

  • for knitting, acrylic or wool threads should be used;
  • lapels or intricate patterns in the form of braids and bindings can add additional volume;
  • the undisputed classics are still in trend: black, white, gray colors;
  • fashionistas who prefer bright colors will like a hat made of unevenly colored yarn or threads of different shades.

Young craftswomen who want to get away from the ordinary and the classics can create models with appliqués (bulky glued inscriptions, embroidery, knitting), which will look best when placed on the sides of the products.

When thinking about decorating knitted hats, you should take into account the following interesting details:

  • pom-poms (various sizes);
  • ears (this trend is very original, attracts attention, is typical for younger representatives of the fair sex) and tassels;
  • rhinestones, spikes, sequins, stones;
  • veil;
  • visor (a knitted product, similar to a cap, can perfectly emphasize not only the chic of a metropolis, but also a sporty one).

When choosing the color scheme of a product, you should not adhere to certain standards. Knitted hats made from large yarn can be in completely different shades: pastel, classic, scarlet, yellow, green.

Gradient transitions, as well as monochrome and combined designs, are still relevant.

As you know, pattern is an integral component of all knitted items. Lace braids are trendy this season large knit, as well as complex ornaments. Of course, such schemes will only be feasible for experienced needlewomen. Beginners can train with an English elastic band (combining it with thick yarn will add the necessary volume to the product).

New handmade knitted hats

The new 2019 models are very similar to the previous year. The priority is: comfort, warmth, coziness, convenience and versatility. A beautiful knitted hat should fit perfectly with a coat, a down jacket, and a fur coat. Otherwise, you can create several models specific to different .

Chunky knit models, classic and conservative, along with original and even shocking ones, are still at their peak. Jewelry is definitely welcome, especially if you are young, playful and full of sass.

New models for the coming season are presented in a huge variety:

  • loose and tight-fitting (depending on the features of the face, skin color and hair);
  • simple and laconic or, on the contrary, supplemented with third-party elements: lapels, ears: visor, pompoms. Combining a hat with outerwear, you need to adhere to the following principle: the more decorated the accessory, the more conservative the second item of clothing should be. Only by following such a postulate can you recreate a stylish and harmonious image;
  • knitted with a simple satin stitch (purl/knit), English elastic, or containing unique decorating methods: braids, plaits, bumps, cross patterns.

Thick yarn is the trend of the coming season

The hat, made of thick yarn, is a unique find among fashion lovers. Its main advantage lies in the fact that when creating it it is not at all necessary to use complex schemes and original patterns to give the product gloss and completeness. Large knitting is a wardrobe decoration in itself. The most successful look would be one that includes such a headdress and a demi-season parka or a voluminous coat in an oversized style.

However, romantic people and lovers of tenderness can also find a model to their liking.

To create it you will need:

  • thick yarn (100% wool 80m/50gram);
  • knitting needles No. 4.5, No. 6;

In order to correctly knit such a popular pattern, you need to cast on 75 stitches on 4.5 knitting needles and knit an elastic band two by two 8 cm high (alternating 2 knits and 2 purls).

Description of work:

  1. To add bagginess after the elastic, add 16 stitches evenly. If you want to knit a not very massive headdress, then add 5-8 loops or don’t do it at all.
  2. We switch to knitting needles No. 6 and knit 3 rows with purl stitch on the front side.

Wrong side:

  • 1r. (ls) - purl loops;
  • 2 rub. (is) - facial.

Front side:

1r. (ls) - facial;

2 rub. (is) - purl.

From the beginning of knitting, you need to knit 28cm, then begin to form the crown. To do this, you need to knit all the loops 2 together, ultimately leaving 41 loops. After one row we repeat the same thing. The remaining ones are tied together with thread.

New knitted hats 2018-2019 (patterns) for young people

A knitted hat is a stylish women's accessory. Its wise choice will help you create a stylish and fashionable winter look. In the coming season, a wide variety of models are popular, among which every representative of the fair sex will be able to find something to their liking.

Turban hat

Hats made like a turban add an oriental charm to the look. These headdresses are not so intricate, but at the same time they are moderately voluminous due to the flowing folds and look amazing on the head. It is worth noting that this accessory does not go well with all outerwear, so when creating an image, try to think through all the details as carefully as possible.

You can knit a turban hat with knitting needles for a woman in one evening; the main thing is to carefully study the patterns given in magazines presenting new models for 2018-2019.

This season, fashionable turbans are presented in various colors: black, sapphire, burgundy, emerald, gray. To liven it up and make it even more unique, you can decorate the front of the hat with a large brooch or an eye-catching metal buckle.

Let's give an example of a turban design with a raised elastic band and voluminous folds. To work you will need:

  • 100 grams of wool;
  • knitting needles No. 5.

Description of work:

  1. For the sample we cast on 24 loops: 1st row - alternate 1 purl loop and 2 knit stitches.We knit the 2nd row and all even rows according to the pattern.3rd row - 1 purl loop, then we hook the 2nd knit loop to the back wall, then, without throwing it off the knitting needle, the 1st knit loop to the front.The 5th row starts from the third row.
  2. Knitting density: 1 cm = 1.5 loops. The raised elastic band is designed for the number of loops divided by 3. The hat must be knitted from the back of the head. For an accessory of size 56, you need to cast on 18 loops (about 12 cm) and knit 4 cm with a relief elastic band. Next, following the same pattern, we simultaneously make 5 additions each time from the front side (the addition is a yarn over to itself, which is knitted from the wrong side with a front loop behind the back wall).
  3. When there are 11 purl loops in each track, and 6 along the edges (with the exception of edge stitches), no more additions should be made. There should be 68 loops on the knitting needle (42 cm), 16 cm high.
  4. Next, 5-6 cm are knitted evenly and a gradual decrease begins: in each front row 5 times, 2 are knitted together purlwise (similar to increases). You need to shorten the loops until there are 18 loops on the knitting needle again. The loops are divided in half and tied separately: each half of the rim is 28-29 cm long, then placed crosswise. The ends are sewn together, the headband is sewn on.

Snood hat

Knitting a fashionable snood hat with knitting needles for a woman will not be difficult even for beginners. This chunky knit model, which has become in demand, looks more like a scarf, but it looks elegant and will keep you warm even in the most severe frost.

To work you will need:

  • 200 g yarn;
  • circular knitting needles No. 5.

Description of work:

First of all, you need to decide on the width and height of the product. We cast on the required number of loops on circular knitting needles. The proposed model can be made with a Polish elastic band (this is a very simple pattern even for beginners).

We connect the resulting chain of loops into a circle and begin knitting:

  • 1st row - alternate 3 knit stitches with one purl stitch;
  • 2nd row - 2 knit stitches, 1 purl stitch, 1 knit stitch;
  • 3rd row - similar to the first;
  • 4th row - similar to the second.

Universal hat with earflaps

The women's knitted hat with earflaps is one of the well-deserved new products of the 2018 season, which has gained popularity among young people. A headdress looks most stylish if it is decorated with textured patterns: braids, ornaments, cones, openwork embroidery, rhinestones, abstract prints.

To work based on 54 cm (head volume) you will need:

  • 250 g yarn;
  • knitting needles No. 4.

The product can be knitted in two threads.

Description of work (ears):

We cast on 6 loops and begin to make a garter stitch pattern, adding 6 times along both edges every two rows along the loop. Then we knit the next 14 rows straight. If you add more loops, the eye will be much wider, and a larger number of rows will affect its length.

After two identical ears are knitted, you can proceed to the hat itself.

Description of work (earflap hat):

  1. Now we need to assemble everything into one product: we type on long knitting needle loops alternately from the ears and new ones for knitting the front and back of the headdress. Note! At first, the back of the earflaps will slowly expand, and eventually will be formed from two parts, fastened with a mattress seam.
  2. Next, you need to add 1 loop, knit the front loops of one eyelet and cast on another 20 loops for the front of the hat, knitting the second eyelet and casting on 1 loop. Add stitches to widen the back side every other row on both sides once with 2 stitches and once with 3 stitches (this will make 8 rows and will be the full width of the hat). In order to regulate it, you can add more loops during knitting.
  3. In total you need to knit about 16 rows, which will ultimately make up the height of the hat before tapering towards the crown. The reduction must be performed as follows: 1 chrome. loop, 5 knit, 2 loops with a slant to the right, 2 knit, 2 loops with a slant to the left, 5 knit, 1 chrome. You need to decrease the loops three more times every couple of rows, and pull off the remaining loops after two rows. The hat is sewn at the back using a mattress stitch.
  4. For the front lapel, you need to cast on 20 loops along the edge and knit in garter stitch to the required height, then close all the loops, and attach the lapel in the desired way. For braids, we cut 18 meter-long threads, which need to be folded in half and threaded through the bottom of the ears, and then braided into braids.

Volumetric hat with knitting needles and snood

A set consisting of a voluminous hat and a snood made in a similar style can add harmony and style to the image. Acceptable the following options combinations:

  • hat and snood made of thick threads, made in the same pattern and in one color scheme;
  • Products of different colors and designs form an organic duet.

DIY beanie hat, diagrams

The beanie hat is a classic accessory that incorporates the latest fashion trends. Being one of the most popular models of the 2018-2019 season, this comfortable and very warm item has occupied a strong niche among the fair sex: it can ideally complement both a fur coat and a sports down jacket.

The classic version of the beanie hat is similar to an elongated cap or stocking, it is performed as simple types knitting: elastic, hosiery, scarf, and complex patterns. If you are new to needlework and don’t know how to knit a hat with beanie knitting needles for a woman, then you should pay attention to the following knitting pattern with detailed description. Key point before work - right choice colors,

A headdress knitted with garter stitch is the simplest and most understandable for beginner needlewomen.

Necessary materials:

  • dense wool blend yarn 100m/100g;
  • knitting needles No. 5;
  • needle with a wide eye;
  • scissors.

Description of work:

We cast on 50 loops with an auxiliary thread on knitting needles No. 5 and knit 2 rows. Next, we cut off the thread, at the end we will unravel it, knit a couple of whole rows again and start knitting shortened ones (this is necessary to round the crown).

The diagram looks like this:

  1. We remove the first loop (edge) and knit the entire row from the beginning to the crown, leaving the remaining 6 loops.
  2. Now you need to turn the knitting and continue in the opposite direction so that a hole does not form at the turning point. To do this, we twist a loop out of the six remaining poles.
  3. We transfer the loop from the left knitting needle to the right, leaving the working thread below under the left knitting needle.
  4. We throw the working thread so that it is above the left knitting needle.
  5. We return the removed loop back - we get an entwined one.
  6. Turn the knitting back. Without touching the resulting loop, we knit a row from the top to the beginning. We knit the last loop knit or purl. The first shortened row is ready.
  7. In the next row we wrap the fifth loop in the same way, then the fourth and so on. A total of six loops are obtained, which subsequently form a wedge of 12 rows, tapering towards the crown.
  8. We knit the second wedge and all subsequent ones exactly like the first. A total of 12 wedges are required.
  9. When unstretched, the diameter of the cap is about 54 cm, height - 30 cm.

Important! To ensure that the edge of the headdress, which will encircle the oval of the face, does not stretch and does not require crocheting, you should knit the edge and last loops as tightly as possible.

The beanie hat is ready, all that remains is to sew it. To do this, unravel the auxiliary thread and sew the open loops together using a loop-to-loop stitch. You can do this either with a closed edge or with a regular seam. Knitting a beanie hat is not difficult, especially if you strictly follow the pattern and be careful.

Warm grass hat

Necessary:

  • 100 g yarn grass
  • knitting needles number 6.

Description:
Start knitting by casting on 60 stitches on needles No. 6. Knit with 1x1 rib for about 4 cm.

In order to expand the circle, every 5 loops add 1 loop with a twisted yarn over. Then knit straight 5 cm, after which start decreasing 1 loop in each front row every 5 loops. Use a needle to gather the remaining loops (there will be about 10) onto a thread folded in half, and then fasten it.

The hat must be sewn with a knitted seam.

How to knit a fashionable hat

After you have learned to knit simple hats, you can move on to more complex models.

Universal hat with earflaps for women

Size - 54 cm (head volume)

Necessary:

  • 250 g yarn
  • regular knitting needles 4 mm

The hat can be knitted in 2 threads.

Ears:
Cast on 6 stitches and start knitting a hat in garter stitch. At the same time, add 1 loop on both edges 6 times every 2 rows. Then knit straight for another 14 rows.

If you add more loops, your eye will be much wider. If you knit more rows, then your eyelet will be longer than in the photo. So, you have knitted 2 identical ears.

HAT WITH EAR FLAPS:

Now we collect everything into one product. To do this, on a long knitting needle, alternately cast on the loops from your ears and new ones for the front and back of the hat. Please note that at first the back of the hat will gradually increase in size and will eventually consist of two parts connected by a mattress seam. For a visual representation, look at the photo of the pattern.

Thus, you need to add 1 loop, knit the loops of one ear using knit stitch (or any other stitch, if you don’t want the option from the photo), cast on an additional 20 loops for the front of the hat, knit the second eye and cast on an additional 1 loop.

Continue knitting the hat using your pattern or stockinette stitch as suggested in the photo. At the same time, add loops to expand the back of the product in every second row on both sides of the knitted fabric 1 time for 2 loops and 1 time for 3 loops. This will be about 8 rows. This will be the full width of your header. If necessary, you can adjust it by adding more loops during the knitting process.

You need to knit about 16 more rows, which will be the height of the cap before tapering at the crown.

Decrease in this way: 1 edge loop *, 5 knit loops, 2 loops with a tilt to the right, 2 knit loops, 2 loops with a tilt to the left, 5 knit loops *, repeat from * to *, 1 edge loop.
Decrease stitches in this manner 3 more times every 2 rows, and pull off the remaining stitches after 2 rows. Sew the hat at the back using a mattress stitch.

For the front lapel, cast on 20 stitches along the edge and knit in garter stitch to the desired height. then close all the loops and attach the flap in any suitable way.

For braids, you need to cut 18 threads 1 meter long, fold them in half and thread them through the bottom of the ears and braid them into braids.

Knitted beanie hat (stocking hat, sock hat, cap)

Necessary:

  • circular knitting needles 4 mm
  • 200 g medium yarn
  • tape measure

Description:

First of all, using a measuring tape, measure the circumference of the head for which you plan to knit a hat. Let's say you get 56 cm. This means that you will knit a size 56 hat.

The second important step is to determine the knitting density. What does knitting density mean? This is the number of loops and rows required to knit a fabric measuring 10x10cm. What this means in “simple language” is to correctly calculate how many loops you need to cast on at the beginning of the work.
Cast on 22 loops and knit 10 cm in the pattern chosen for the hat.

Iron the knitted sample through a damp cloth. You don't need to smooth it out too much. Do this carefully, lightly “steaming” the sample.
Measure the prepared sample around the perimeter. Let's say you get a sample measuring 10x10 cm when knitting 30 rows. This means that the knitting density with this pattern will be 2 loops per 1 cm and 3 rows per 1 cm.

That is, for a size 56 hat you need to cast on: 56x2=112 stitches and knit 30 cm, that is, 30x3=90 rows.

Cast on the required number of stitches on circular needles. And knit in a circle, using the fishing line, with the previously selected pattern 25-27 cm up. You will get a knitted fabric in the form of a pipe. After 25 cm, start decreasing stitches by knitting 2 stitches together in every third row until you have 3 stitches left on the needle. When decreasing the stitches, knit the fabric in garter stitch. Break the thread from the skein, leaving about 10 cm, and pull it through the 3 remaining loops, knitting them together and securing the end on the wrong side.

Wool turban hat for the cold season

Necessary:

  • 150 g wool yarn
  • knitting needles No. 2.5 - 3

Knitting pattern: 1st row - 1 knit stitch, 1 purl loop. 2nd row - yarn over before the purl loop, and remove the purl loop without knitting; knit the front loops with your face. 3rd and all subsequent rows - yarn over before the purl loop, remove the purl loop without knitting, and knit the front loop and yarn over of the previous row together (grab from above).
The cap consists of two parts: the turban itself and the bottom. The height of the turban is 10-12 cm.

Description:

Cast on the height of the turban, approximately 24 loops, and knit a strip whose length is equal to half the circumference of the head minus 2 cm.

Then divide all the loops in half. Remove the left side with a pin and do not knit it temporarily, but knit 4 more rows on the right side. After this, swap both parts so that the right part goes to the left and on top of the left part. Next, put all the loops on one knitting needle and knit the second half of the strip.

If, when knitting the second half, there are two identical loops next to each other, then knit them together (so as not to knock the pattern), and at the end of the row add one loop. When the desired length is knitted, close the loops.

Now cast on loops along the entire length of the strip and knit 7 - 8 rows with an English elastic band, then 2.5 cm with a 1x1 elastic band. After this, start knitting the bottom: 2 rows with double stockinette knitting (knit the front loops with the face, remove the purl stitches, the thread remains before work). Then knit 2 stitches together across the face, so that the knit stitch is on top of the purl stitch. Knit 3-4 rows in simple stockinette stitch, then 2 rows across the face in double stockinette stitch, the next 1-2 knit rows in 2 stitches together. Pull the remaining 6-8 loops. Steam the bottom through a damp cloth.

An original bonnet (or helmet) for the very cold season

Necessary:

  • 400 g yarn
  • knitting needles No. 3

Description:

You need to cast on 31 stitches on the knitting needles and knit a transverse strip of any knitting that you choose yourself for a frill 110 cm long, so that it has a beautiful and finished look, then make the corners on it in shortened rows.

In each row, be sure to decrease the knitted loops by 2, that is, first you need to knit 29 loops on the front side of the product, then leave 2 loops intact, wrapping around the 30th loop and turning the knitted product to the wrong side, then knitting the entire row to the end.

In the next row on the front side, also knit 27 loops, leaving 4 loops intact.

Wrap around the 28th loop and turn it over again to the wrong side. Thus, knit the entire product.

Having stopped under-knitting all the loops of the corner, begin to knit the main part, increasing the rows, which will make it possible to change the direction of knitting. First, knit three loops on the front side, and in subsequent rows increase the number of loops by 2, but only knitted ones.

Having knitted the strip with the corners, on one side, cast on about 180 loops along the edge loops and knit the product with garter stitch. Then remove one stitch every three stitches on the next row. Repeat such decreases 2 more times. Then knit 5 cm in garter stitch.

After 5 cm for the main part of the hood, add evenly up to 90 stitches and again knit another 17 cm in garter stitch. Then select 30 loops in the center and knit only them, grabbing and knitting together - both at the beginning and at the end - 2 loops from the central part on each side. After all the central loops are connected to the side loops, close the remaining loops.

Hat with visor

Necessary:

  • 250-300 g yarn
  • circular knitting needles No. 2.5
  • silicone visor

Description:

Cast on 80 loops, close in a circle and knit 4-6 rows in stockinette stitch, i.e. facial loops.

When I join in a circle, I leave a tail of thread to mark the beginning of the row. Divide the number of loops into three parts - 18 stitches, 44 stitches, 18 stitches. On 44 loops we will knit a visor, making an increase of 10 loops every 4 loops. We make an increase so that the visor fits well and fits comfortably in its pocket.
When the pocket for the visor is knitted and the decreases are made, we knit the second half of the headband.

Fold the fabric in half, throw the tail of the thread over the face of the knitting (beginning of the row!). We knit one loop from the knitting needle, lift one and knit it from the cast-on edge. We reach approximately the middle of the visor, insert the visor blank and continue knitting loops to the end of the row, i.e. to the tail.
The upper part of the rim (i.e. the front) should be several rows larger than the inner one (to hide the holes from turning).

And so we have 160 loops on our knitting needles. You can start knitting the crown. We divide the loops into 8 parts (wedges) and knit a zigzag pattern. One wedge - 20 loops. Rapport-*from 1 pet. knit 3 loops, knit 8, 3 loops together (behind the back wall), knit 8* - repeat 7 more times. If you want a larger cap, you can add 16 stitches = 176 stitches. One wedge - 22 loops. Rapport-*from 1 pet. knit 3 loops, knit 9, 3 loops together (behind the back wall), knit 9* repeat 7 more times.

We knit the crown height we need, knitting one row in a zigzag pattern, one row evenly.

Tulya is ready. We begin to make reductions. One row is zigzag, one row is straight.
One row - we knit only 3 loops together, and we don’t make 3 loops from 1 loop, one row exactly.

When there are 16 loops left on the knitting needles, knit 2 loops together and pull them onto a thread.
The cap is ready!

Warm double hat for winter

Necessary:

  • circular knitting needles;
  • yarn of your favorite color;
  • soft yarn for lining;
  • tape measure;
  • scissors;
  • hook.

In order to knit a double hat of your size, you need to know the circumference of your own head. Determine it using a measuring tape. Write down the result and calculate the stitches for the set. A standard for which you need to knit a small square using a working thread will help you make the calculation correctly. Count the number of loops in one centimeter of the standard.

To knit the front part of the hat, multiply this amount by the circumference of the head in centimeters and add 4-5 loops for supply. For the lining, take yarn designed for knitting children's clothes. It does not prick and does not cause skin irritation.

Description:
Cast on the required number of stitches on two knitting needles folded together, pull out one of the knitting needles and start knitting an elastic band.

The most reliable elastic band is 1x1. It stretches well and retains its original appearance for a long time. Having knitted 5-6 cm of elastic bands, start stocking knitting. When knitting in the round, it is better to knit the front loops using the front thread, so they turn out more even.

Knit the main part of the hat with a height of about 15cm. Then start decreasing. If you decide to knit a double hat on radial knitting needles, divide the number of loops by 4, mark each part and first knit 2 loops together for each part. In this case, if knitting is done with a set of 5 knitting needles, knit 2 loops first on each knitting needle.

Once all the loops are closed, secure the thread to the wrong side of the hat with a crochet hook.

For the lining of the hat, cast on loops from the wrong side of the main fabric, immediately after finishing the elastic band. Don't forget to decrease 4-5 stitches. Knit in stockinette stitch. Tie the lining 1-2 cm shorter than the main part of the hat and close it according to the same pattern.
Wash knitted items by hand, in warm water, using special detergents. knitted products. They must be wrung out without twisting, but dried on terry towel in straightened form.

Winter knitted hat with lapel

Size 56-57.

Necessary

  • 150 g yarn
  • regular knitting needles No. 5

Description:

The number of loops should be divided by 4, plus 2 edge loops. If we knit for an adult, approximately 98 loops will be required: 96+2=98.

We cast on loops and start knitting the first row: remove the edge loop without knitting, then 2x2 elastic: 2 knit loops, 2 purl loops, last stitch The row (edge) is always knitted purlwise to maintain even edges of the product. We always remove the first stitch of the row without knitting.

All further rows, both purl and knit, are knitted according to the pattern: 2 knit stitches above the knit stitches, 2 purl loops above the purl stitches.

When the required depth of the cap is reached, taking into account the lapel option you have chosen, we begin to make decreases from the next front row: we knit 2 purl loops together with a purl loop.

In the second row (purl) we knit according to the pattern: 2 purl loops, 1 knit stitch.
In the third row we decrease the knit stitches: instead of two knit stitches, we knit two knit stitches together. The result is a 1x1 elastic band: 1 knit stitch from two knit stitches, 1 purl loop.

Fourth row - according to the pattern: 1 purl loop, 1 knit stitch.
For the fifth row (front row), we knit two stitches together.
And the sixth, final row - purl all the loops.

As you can see, decreases when knitting a hat from a rectangle have the same principle as when knitting in the round, only adjustments are made to the front and back rows.

When knitting a hat from a rectangle, it is better to leave the tip of the thread sub-line so that it is enough for the back seam. We collect the remaining loops on it using a hook or a large needle, pull it into a ring and carefully sew the cap together. You can connect the edges of the cap different ways(seams), this is a reason for a separate article, but the main goal in any case is to make sure that the seam looks equally neat both on the front side and in that part of the back that will be visible when you turn the edge of the cap. Remember this!

That's all. We tangle it, cut off the excess end of the thread and go to try it on.

Hit of the season - snood hat

Necessary:

  • 200 g yarn
  • circular needles No. 5

First, decide on the width and length of the future product, and then knit a small piece with the knitting stitch you prefer. Having chosen the fragment you like, you can count the number of loops for the product. So, cast on the required number of stitches on circular knitting needles. The proposed snood must be knitted with a Polish elastic band. This knitting is not very difficult, and if you are knitting it for the first time, don’t be afraid, you will adapt quite quickly.

The resulting chain of loops must be connected into a circle and knitted.

First row: 3 knit stitches and one purl stitch.

Second row: two knit stitches, one purl stitch, and one knit stitch.

Third row: knitted similarly to the first row.

Fourth row: knit the same as the second.
Then continue knitting in cycles. Don’t forget that the wider the hat, the more effectively it can be placed on your head.

English elastic hat

Necessary:

  • wool yarn – 50 g at 135 m;
  • straight knitting needles No. 4 – 2 pcs.;
  • crochet hook;
  • scissors;
  • darning needle.

1. Find out the head circumference of the future owner of the headdress and be sure to make a small square of knitted fabric for the sample - the knitting density is always calculated individually. When knitting a hat with English elastic, an elastic, almost dimensionless product is created. In the described example, with a head circumference of 55-60 cm, a knitwear density of 18 loops for 46 rows, 78 loops are cast on for the headband of the hat. The knitting needles are straight and of medium diameter (No. 4).

You can start knitting a hat with English elastic without making an elastic border. At the same time, you can make the fabric of the product either with or without a turn. Please note: the 1x1 elastic band secures the edge well!

2. Knit the headband in straight and purl rows, alternating 2 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches. When 8 rows are ready, start knitting the hat with an English elastic band. In the first row of the pattern you will need to make even increases, bringing the total number of loops to 95.

To add loops, divide the row into equal sections, and knit an additional thread in each. To do this, grab and twist the transverse threads between adjacent loops.

3. Work the fluffy fabric with an English elastic until you reach a height of 25 cm from the edge of the rim. To form the main knitwear pattern, alternate stitches in the following sequence. In the first row of the pattern, do only knit stitches; start the second row with the edge loop (it can be removed unknitted); do the front one. Next, repeat the so-called double knit stitches, inserting the right knitting needle into the thread bow of the previous row. The final loops are the front and edge stitches.

4. Start the third row English gum also from the edge loop, then alternate the double and regular knit stitches until only a couple of thread arches remain on the left knitting needle. Knit the first one as a double knit stitch, the second one will be an edge stitch. Repeat the pattern according to the finished sample of the second and third rows until you have made the main fabric of the headdress of the desired size.

5. Start shaping the crown of the hat. To round the knitted fabric and tighten it at the top, make uniform decreases in the forward and reverse rows: at the beginning, an edge loop; during a row of 3 thread arches are knitted together with a regular knit stitch; at the end - edging. In the next row, make decreases without leaving edges, always knit 3 loops together.

6. Cut the working yarn, leaving a tail about 10 cm long. Pull it over the open loops of the last row and drag it with the hook inside the hat. Form a strong knot.

7. Turn the hat wrong side down, steam the knitted fabric and carefully connect the side edges of the part. Make a neat connecting seam using a darning needle and thread from a working ball. To ensure that the stitching remains sufficiently elastic and the product does not deform, do not make the stitches too tight.

Stylish hat with braids

Necessary:

  • 150 g yarn
  • knitting needles No. 3.5,
  • knitting needles No. 4, 5

I knitted it on two needles, because on circular needles I have a large thread and it results in a lot of tension and large holes between the loops, and I like it tighter. Then I sewed it together.

I cast on 96 stitches on the knitting needles. Knitting needles No. 3.5. Knitted in 2 threads, yarn with 20% wool, 135g per 50m.

I knitted a 2×2 elastic band about 6 cm.
Switched to knitting needles No. 4.5

Pattern:

(P2, K6, P2, K2) - repeat until the end of the row.
knit according to the pattern, where from inside to outside, where from faces to faces.
Knit 6 rows like this and in the 7th row make overlaps where there are 6 faces. (YouTube is full of videos on how to knit braids).

I did this: I transfer 3 loops to a toothpick, knit the next 3 stitches, return these 3 loops from the toothpick to the left knitting needle and knit them too. Then follow the pattern with 2 purl, 2 knit, 2 purl and again overlaps. So until the end of the row.

After these overlaps, we knit 1 row on the wrong side according to the pattern, I don’t count it.

And repeat all 6 rows again, overlap in the 7th
And repeat all 6 rows again and overlap in the 7th
In total, we made 3 braids. And from the beginning of knitting we knitted about 15-17 cm.

Continue knitting in the same way, but make decreases. I won’t write how to make decreases, because in three hats I did it differently all the time, I still haven’t figured out how to do it better. The most important thing is that they are invisible.

Fashionable voluminous hat made of large yarn

Universal size 53-54 cm.

Necessary:

  • thick yarn 200 g
  • circular knitting needles 10 mm, length 40 cm
  • stitch marker
  • thick knitting needle

Description:

Cast on 32 loops. Place a marker at the beginning of the row and join into a circle.
Knit with an elastic band as follows: *k2, p2; repeat from * to the end.
Work 14 more circular rows and decrease 2 stitches evenly, knitting 2 knits together in the last rib circle = 30 stitches.
Next, knit 12 circular rows with knit stitches only.

Track. round: knit 2 stitches together = 15 stitches.
Work 2 more rounds with knit stitches. Cut the thread, leaving a long tail. Thread the piece into a knitting needle. Slip all loops onto the thread. Pull and secure the thread on the wrong side.

Hat with ears

Size 56-57.

Necessary:

  • 150 g yarn
  • circular knitting needles 4 mm

Description:

For the first “ear” you need to cast on 7 loops and knit in this order: 1Krom., 1IP, 1LP, 1IP, 1LP, 1IP, 1Krom.

The 2nd and all purl rows are knitted according to the pattern.

Once you have about 21 stitches on your needles, measure the length of the eyelet.
If the length is suitable, then set it aside and start knitting the second one.
If not, then knit directly the required length, but without adding loops.
Tie the second “ear” in the same way.

Then, on circular or stocking needles (you can knit on straight ones, but then there will be a seam along the back of the head, and the loops will need to be distributed taking into account this seam), cast on 33 loops, add 21 loops of the first “eye”, cast on 33 loops again, add 21 loops of the second “eye”.

Next, knit with a regular elastic band 1LP x 1IP for about 3-4 rows. Make sure that the elastic pattern is distributed harmoniously across the new cast-on stitches.
Those. for the front and back of the cap, which consist of 31 loops, distribute the loops as follows:

7 elastic loops, 6 elastic loops, 7 elastic loops, 6 elastic loops, 7 elastic loops = 33 loops in total; for the “ears”, each of which consists of 21 loops, distribute the loops in this way: 6 loops of the harness, 1 IP, 6 loops of the harness, 1IP, 6 loops of the harness = a total of 20 loops. Carefully shorten 1 loop, i.e. knit 2 loops together without ruining the pattern.

Knit straight, repeat the repeat of the “harness” according to the pattern, about 14-16 centimeters.
Then start decreasing stitches.
To do this, in every 4th row, reduce evenly throughout the entire row:
3 times 1/4 of the total number of loops

Check the height of the cap, if it fits, then pull the remaining loops with the end of the thread and secure them. As a rule, the height of a hat with ears can be from 20 to 22 centimeters. Perhaps some people like it taller.
If the height is not enough, then knit a few more rows in height, while shortening the existing loops, and close at the end.

(On YouTube you can watch a video on how to knit a simple hat with knitting needles.)

How to knit a fashionable hat

Once you have learned how to knit simple hats, you can move on to more complex patterns. In 2018, the following models will be relevant: a voluminous hat, a hat with earflaps, a beanie (also called a stocking cap, a sock, a cap), a turban, a hood (or a helmet hat), a model with a visor, a hat with a pompom, a double a mischievous hat with ears, a regular one with a lapel, a snood hat (or a hooded hat).

Decrease in this way: 1 edge loop *, 5 knit loops, 2 loops with a tilt to the right, 2 knit loops, 2 loops with a tilt to the left, 5 knit loops *, repeat from * to *, 1 edge -I'm a loop.

Video “knitting a turban for a woman”

We fold the fabric into pieces, throw the tail of the thread onto the face of the knitting (beginning of the row!).

(Watch the video from the best needlewomen of the network “ knit a hat with a visor" on the YouTube channel).

Stylish hat with pompom

Universal size.

+1 (add 1 loop) = lift the loop from the broach and knit behind the back stitch. wall.

Description:
On smaller needles, using thread A, cast on 73 stitches and knit 7.5 cm with an elastic band, k1, p1. Finish on a purl row.

Switch to larger knitting needles.
1st row (RS): knit with thread B k3, *+1, k2, +1, k3; repeat from * to end = 101 stitches.

3rd row: k5, *K8L, k4; repeat from * to the end.
from 4th to 10th row: start on a purl row and knit in stockinette stitch (7 rows in total).
Row 11 (RS): K1, *K8P, k4; repeat from * to last 4 stitches, k4.
13th row: facial loops.
Rows 15 and 17: knit with thread C.
from the 19th to the 27th row: knit with thread C and repeat from the 3rd to the 11th row again.
Row 28 (WS): purl stitches.

Top formation:
Row 1 (RS): k1, *k2tog, k3; repeat from * to end = 81 stitches.
2nd and all purl rows: purl stitches.
Row 3: k1, *k2tog; repeat from * to end = 61 stitches.
Row 5: k1, *k2tog, k1; repeat from * to end = 41 stitches.
7th row: k1 * k2tog; repeat from * to end = 21 stitches.

Cut the thread, leaving a long tail. Using a needle, pull the piece through the remaining stitches. Pull and secure the thread. Make a seam.

Pompon:
With thread A in 2 folds, wrap your hand about 50 times. Leave a long piece. Carefully remove the skein from the rug and tie it tightly. Sew the pompom to the top of the hat.

Warm double hat for winter

Necessary:

  • circular knitting needles;
  • yarn of your favorite color;
  • soft yarn for lining;
  • tape measure;
  • scissors;

Wash knitted items by hand, in warm water, using special detergents for washing knitted items. They must be wrung out without twisting, but dried on a terry towel in a straightened form.

For the ties, attach pieces of yarn to the ends of the “ears”. About half as long as the desired length of the strings themselves. Take the yarn in several threads for three parts, which you will then braid into a braid. This will be your tie. Tie a knot at the end and straighten the yarn at the bottom of the tie with scissors.
For the top of the head, make a pompom.

Winter knitted hat with lapel

Size 56-57.

Necessary

  • 150 g yarn
  • regular knitting needles No. 5

Description:

The number of loops should be divided by 4, plus 2 edge loops. If we knit for an adult, approximately 98 loops will be required: 96+2=98.
We cast on loops and start knitting the first row: remove the edge loop without knitting, then 2x2 elastic: 2 knit loops, 2 purl loops, always knit the last loop of the row (edge loop) purl to maintain even edges of the product.

You can connect the edges of a cap in different ways (with seams), this is a reason for a separate article, but the main goal in any case is to make sure that the seam looks equally neat both on the front side and in that part of the back that will be visible when the edge of the cap is turned back . Remember this!

That's all. We tangle it, cut off the excess end of the thread and go to try it on.
I wish you interesting work and warm hats!

Fourth row: knit the same way as the second one.
Then continue knitting in cycles. Don’t forget that the wider the hat, the more effectively it can be placed on your head. |

Video "how to" “knit a snood hat” will help beginners learn in more detail the whole process of creating such a beautiful knitted creation.

How to knit a hat with a pattern

Hats with a pattern look more impressive, but knitting them is much more difficult, since you need to monitor both the shape of the hat and the pattern. Sometimes you get lost and have to start all over again. But if you are careful and practice on a small sample, you will succeed the first time.

English elastic hat

Necessary:

  • wool yarn – 50 g at 135 m;
  • straight knitting needles No. 4 – 2 pcs.;
  • crochet hook;
  • scissors;

4. Start the third row of English elastic also with an edge loop, then alternate double and regular knit stitches until there are only a couple of thread arches left on the left needle.

I knitted it on two needles, because I have a large thread on circular needles and it results in a lot of tension and large holes between the loops, and I like it tighter.

Pattern:

  • (P2, K6, P2, K2) - repeat until the end of the row.
  • knit according to the pattern, where from inside to outside, where from faces to faces.

Knit 6 rows like this and in the 7th row make overlaps where there are 6 faces. (YouTube is full of videos on how to knit braids). I did this: I transfer 3 loops to a toothpick, knit the next 3, return these 3 loops from the toothpick to the left knitting needle and knit them too. Then, according to the pattern, 2 purl, 2 knit, 2 purl and again overlaps.
