Technical re-equipment of the entire industry was carried out: new installations for drilling wells, roller bits, turbo drills, submersible centrifugal electric pumps, etc. were created and implemented.
A turning point in the development of the CCCP oil industry was the discovery and development of fields in Western Siberia. In 1964, their commercial operation began, and in less than ten years, oil and gas condensate production was increased to 200 million tons.
Subsequently, the oil industry carried out automation of field technological installations, and industrial methods for constructing technological installations became widespread.
The development of oil fields is associated with the development of oil pipeline transport. Oil is transported through a network of main oil pipelines that connect all major oil regions with oil refineries in the country and other countries.
