Master class on knitting a dress for a baby.

Booties are perfect for the set, crocheted(see general photo of the set below).

Materials and tools:

  • Yarnart Jeans thread (1 skein of orange and a little white left)
  • buttons for appliqué and fastening
  • knitting needles No. 3
  • hook No. 2, 5

Sample: 20 loops and 26 rows - 10 by 10 cm

Knitting process:

We cast on 73 loops on the knitting needles. We knit 5 rows with a “rice” pattern: edge, alternate knit, purl to last loop, edge

Row 6: edge stitch, 4 loops in rice pattern, purl until 5 loops remain, 4 loops in rice pattern, edge stitch.

In the 7th row we make decreases: edge stitch, 4 loops with the knit pattern, 2 loops together with the knit pattern tilted to the right, knit until there are 7 loops left, 2 loops together with the knit stitch with a slant to the left, 4 loops with the knit pattern, edge stitch.

Row 8: edge, 4 loops in rice pattern, purl until 5 loops remain, 4 loops in rice pattern, edge.

Row 9: edge, 4 loops in rice pattern, purl until 5 loops remain, 4 loops in rice pattern, edge.

We repeat decreases in each 6th row 6 times. Repeat rows 8, 9 up to 17 cm in height.

In the 15th row we change the thread to orange.

In the next row we make decreases for the bodice: edge, 4 loops in rice pattern, (2 knit stitches together, 2 knit loops) - repeat until 5 loops remain, 4 loops in rice pattern, edge. Next, in every 2nd row we make decreases (as in the 7th row) 4 times. We continue to knit according to the pattern to a height of 29 cm from the cast-on edge.

To form the neck, close off the central 9 loops. To round the neck, close in every 2nd row 1 time - 3 loops, 1 time - 2 loops and 1 time 1 loop. For the shoulder, knit 4 more rows and bind off the loops. Knit the second half of the neck in the same way. In the first row of the shoulder, do not forget to make a hole for a button by knitting 4 loops with a rice pattern, 2 stitches together, yarn over.

The back is knitted similarly.

Product assembly

We sew shoulder seams, side seams, and sew on a button. We decorate the front of the dress at our discretion. I decorated it with flower applique.

Flower

To knit flowers, take a button with 4 holes. Insert the hook into the button hole, grab the thread and make a loop. Knit 4 air loops, single crochet in the next hole. There should be 5 arches. Next, in each arch we knit 1 half double crochet, 3 double crochets, 1 half double crochet.
We hide the thread. The flower is ready.

Sundress for a girl. This sundress is knitted similarly to the gray one. The threads are the same, only the color is coral. And the size of the sundress is a little larger, for a girl 104-1 tall

Girls, I suggest you knit one dress of your choice, or maybe both at once for your little fashionistas! So far I have looked at two dresses, but perhaps the choice will expand. I will be glad to see everyone who wants to take part in this marathon! I like to gather a pleasant company with similar interests

Description of crocheting and knitting a dress for a girl:
First we knit the hem: cast on 200 (220) 240 stitches on circular knitting needles and knit 10 rows with a pearl pattern and then 2 rows with satin stitch. You can also knit with regular knitting needles, in which case you will need to knit the outermost edge loop (it will go into the seam). Thus, the repeat will be 20 loops, and the 21st loop in the pattern is an edge loop. Between the rapports in the first row there should be one front loop(for even rows - purl).
Knit for the next row * 1 purl. p.. 109 persons. p.*, repeat * - *.
Then knit an openwork pattern according to pattern A and then knit 1 knit. row.
Continue according to the following pattern: * yarn over, k17. p., remove 1 p. without knitting, k2. p. together and pass the removed loop through the knitted one *, repeat *-* throughout the entire row and knit k1. row.
Then knit as follows: k18, p, yarn over, knit 2 p. together along the back edge*, repeat *-* ‘throughout the entire row and knit 1 row. Repeat these 2 rows further.
When the height of the product is 17 (20) 24 cm, always knit 2 liters for the next row. p. together = 100 (110) 120 p. Knit 10 rows with a pearl pattern.
Start knitting from the middle of the back and then make decreases for the armholes of the sleeves: knit 19 (22) 25 stitches, move the next 10 stitches to the auxiliary stitch. knitting needle, cast on 30(35)40 stitches in their place for the sleeve. Knit 42(46)50 stitches for the front part, move the next 10 stitches to the auxiliary. knitting needle and cast on 30(35)40 stitches for the sleeve in their place, knit the remaining 19(22)25 stitches of the row.
Use a marker thread to mark the end of the row, the middle of the back. Then knit 1 purl. p., 19 persons. P.*. repeat *- . Next, knit an openwork pattern according to pattern A in the same way as on the hem. When you knit the 3rd row, knit the 4th and the next even rows of faces. sts and yarn overs in knit stitch, and purl yarn overs.
5th row: yarn over. 5 persons. p.. yarn over 2 persons p. together behind the back wall, purl 1. n., 2 persons. p. together behind the back wall, purl 2. p., 1 pcs. p., 2 p. n., 2 persons. p. together, 1 p. n., 2 persons. p. together*, repeat *-*.
7th row: ‘remove the yarn over the knitting needles, knit 7 knits. p., yarn over, 2 persons. p. together behind the back wall, k2. p. together behind the back wall, purl 1. p., 1 persons. p., 1 p. n., 2 persons. p. together, 2 persons. p. together *, repeat *-*.
9th row: ‘remove the yarn over the knitting needle, knit 9 knits. p., yarn over, 2 persons. p. together behind the back wall, purl 1. p., 1 persons. p., 1 p. n., 2 persons. p. together, repeat *-*.
11th row: ‘remove the yarn over the knitting needles, knit 11 knits. p., yarn over, 2 persons. p. together behind the back wall, k1. n., 2 persons. p. together, repeat *-*.
13th row: * yarn over, k13. p., yarn over, remove 1 p. without knitting, k2. p. together, pass the removed one through the knitted one *, repeat *-*.
Row 14: Turn over and work a purl row along the wrong side.
Row 15: Knit 2. p. together, 12 persons. n., 2 persons. p.together, yarn over*, repeat.
16th, 18th and 20th row: knit the same as the 14th row.

Sleeves: remove a total of 36 (46) 56 stitches from the sleeve neckline on the knitting needles (also remove the set aside 10 stitches) and knit 10 rows with a pearl pattern. Close the loops.
Assembling a dress for a girl crocheted and knitted:

Crochet the edge of the back neckline with 1 stitch next to it. b/n and simultaneously make 3 small buttonholes along the second edge. Sew to the other edge of the button.
This is my "sample"! It wasn't so simple with this pattern description, or maybe I just don't like descriptions without patterns... I'm going to knit this dress for 3-4 years and therefore I'll increase the size by adding loops at the beginning in pattern A... For This will increase the length of the yoke. SO! Everything is clear with the pattern now, I’ll now think about how many stitches I should start knitting for the hem
I have 10 skeins of Jeans YarnArt yarn.
My dress:
I cast on 260 stitches on circular needles. Knitted 12 rows of garter stitch. Bottom width - 49 cm.
Then I knitted an openwork motif according to the pattern with rows 1-17:

After knitting the 18th row, I continued knitting, repeating only
Rows 17-18.
At the same time, I made cuts like this: I have already knitted 15 cm and knitted 3 times two loops together with an inclination alternately to the left and to the right in each strip... That is, three cuts were made.

Knitted 22 cm. It took two skeins of Jeans:

At a height of 30 cm from the beginning of knitting, I have 8 stitches left in each strip, 1 yarn over, 2 loops along with a tilt to the right... The width at the top is 27 cm, at the bottom - 49 cm.

There will be a hidden dress zipper here.. There are 130 stitches left on the knitting needles + 2 edge stitches..

I knitted without shortening to a height of 45 cm. At this stage I used exactly 3 skeins of yarn. I started knitting the sleeves separately. I plan for 4/3 sleeves or up to the elbow. I’m improvising, so I don’t know for sure yet.

Sleeve for a peach dress
I cast on 63 stitches and knit 10 rows in garter stitch. Next I knitted an openwork pattern according to the pattern

The width at the bottom is 23 cm, the height is 20 cm. I started knitting the sleeve at 63 stitches. As a result, there should be 59 stitches left on the knitting needles.

TO BE CONTINUED
When both sleeves were knitted, I joined them to the base of the dress in the place where the yoke with leaves would begin: I took the main fabric of the dress and knitted 35 loops in the front row from the edge. Then I took the sleeve and began to knit the loops of the sleeve to the main fabric. Then I started knitting the loops of the main fabric again. HERE I DON’T REMEMBER HOW MANY PILES I LEFT ON THE FRONT, SO FROM THE REMAINING LOOPS SUBTRACT 35 P. (this should be about 60 loops) - this will be the front, after knitting it you will need to attach the second sleeve again.

This marks where I started to attach the first sleeve:

After joining the sleeves and knitting a purl row, I started knitting the yoke with openwork pattern, like on the hem of a dress according to the first big pattern.

After the pattern was knitted from rows 1-18, I started knitting the “leaves” pattern according to the same pattern, only from rows 19-30... At the same time, to increase the length of the yoke for my size 3-4 years, I made decreases in the leaf not in every second row as in the diagram, but in every fourth row:

WHEN I KNITTED THE LAST 12 ROWS OF A GARNIER STITCH YOKE, AT THE END OF THE FIRST ROW I CAST ON 6 LOOPS SO THAT I COULD LATER MAKE A BUTTON LOOP IN AN LAP. I KNITTED THE LOOP LIKE THIS: IN THE 4TH shawl ROW I KNITTED 2 LOOPS FROM THE EDGE, 1 YOOP, 2 LOOPS TOGETHER. NEXT I KNITTED IN SQUARE STITCH.

When I closed it last row loops of the yoke, started sewing the sleeves and zipper. I always sew on a regular sewing machine.
ON THE BACK I SEWED A USUAL HIDDEN ZIPPER ON THE BACK, JUST AS A USUAL ZIPPER... THAT IS, I DID NOT FOCUS ON THE COMPLETE SECRET OF THE ZIPPER, SO TO SAY, BECAUSE THE KNITTED FABRIC WILL NOT ALLOW THIS TO BE DONE. AND IN THE CONVENTIONAL SEWING TECHNIQUE, SUCH A ZIPPER LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN A REGULAR ZIPPER ON KNITTED PRODUCTS.

Later I’ll post a photo with the dress on its owner))))))
I hope you will like it! Good luck to all!!!
:goodluck
I am posting the promised photo of the dress on its owner:

SO! I am knitting dress N5!!! I decided to take yarn from YarnArt City 100% micro pack (100g - 300m). I have 5 skeins in stock. I think that should be enough))))
I will have 2.5 circular knitting needles... I'm trying a pattern...
Here is a video of crossed loops:
http://penelopa.by/litsevaya-skreshhennaya-petlya/
http://penelopa.by/iznanochnaya-skreshhennaya-petlya/
The first thing that didn’t suit me in the original description was the diagram! Too confusing and unusual... I decided to remake it to fit what I’m used to symbols. As soon as I figure it out, I’ll show you... Having also tried crossed loops on my threads, I came to the conclusion that I’ll just knit this place with stockinette stitch, it will look more delicate. I wish you all good luck in your endeavors! I went to continue...
HOORAY!!! I HAVE FIGURED OUT THE PATTERNS FOR THE LAST DRESS No. 5)))))
YOU CAN SAY THAT I KNITTED AND WRITTEN THEM MYSELF... HERE ARE THE PATTERNS...

I WILL KNIT AFTER THEM AND I WILL CHANGE THE DRESS MODEL A LITTLE: THERE WILL BE NO POCKET, THERE WILL BE A COUPON MADE OF LARGE LACERY AT THE HELM OF THE DRESS. I SHARED THE PATTERNS AND WENT TO CAST ON THE LOOPS ON THE HELM OF THE DRESS.....
