Today, young parents want to dress their children fashionably, comfortably and beautifully. And many people dream of spending little time and money on outfits. That's why you can do it yourself. A master class on how to make it is described in this article. This wardrobe detail will perfectly complement a girl’s festive outfit. Its creation will be exciting not only for mom, but also for the little fashionista.

First option

A DIY nursery is a simple and elegant solution for an unexpected holiday or picnic. We don’t need any special skills or tools: a wide elastic band (to gather the product at the waist), tulle, scissors and ribbon. And you can start working.

Selection of materials

  1. Tulle: hard or soft, depending on what kind of skirt you want (it could be a tutu or just a full skirt). Color is at your discretion and preference. You can combine several shades, then it will turn out even more interesting. Lay the fabric out on the table and fold it in half along the long side. Then use pins/soap/chalk/pencil to make marks in increments of twenty centimeters. You should get forty-nine marks, that is, fifty stripes. Next, cut out the parts and set them aside. Their length corresponds to double the length of the future skirt.
  2. Elastic band 2-3 centimeters wide. Its length is the child’s waist circumference plus 5-7 centimeters.
  3. It is better to take the ribbon a little thinner, but longer, in order to tie a bow.

Stages

We take an elastic band, tie or sew its ends and pull it over the back of a chair or over a ladder to fix it in a stretched position. It is better, of course, to sew it together, since the knot will squeeze the child’s skin and interfere with the uniform distribution of the tulle. You can involve older family members in this activity, who will hold the elastic band with outstretched arms, as when winding yarn, but they may quickly get bored with this (remember this).

Now you can start tinkering. We take a strip of tulle, find its middle and throw it over the elastic band, tying it in a knot at the bottom. It should not be too tight so as not to squeeze the belt. Otherwise, the skirt will not hold well and will fall off. One by one we tie the tulle pieces around the elastic without overlapping the knots.

When all the stripes are tied, you need to use scissors to trim the ends of our skirt so that it looks neater. And the final decorative touch is threading the ribbon. Insert it between the knots in a checkerboard pattern, and tie the ends with a bow.

That's it, the children's tulle tutu skirt, made by hand, is ready!

Second option

In this case, we may need the skill of working with a sewing machine or at least a thread and a needle. It’s easy to make from tulle with your own hands, you just have to want it. And we will try to help you with this. So, let's begin.

Materials

  1. Tulle, the width of which is one and a half meters, and the length is equal to the length finished product, multiplied by two. Again, depending on whether you need a tutu or just a full skirt, the stiffness of the material can be varied.
  2. An elastic band that corresponds to the girl’s waist circumference with a small margin.
  3. Needle, thread, sewing machine.

Process

To begin with, you should carefully fold the tulle along its length and stitch or sew it, retreating from the fold by a centimeter. If necessary, you can connect several of these stripes, then the skirt will be fuller. To do this, you need to insert the edge of the next fabric into the fold of the previous one and stitch it. It will be more accurate this way. Fasten the ends of the threads well. After preparatory stage let's get to the rubber band. We put a pin on one end and hold the other in our teeth or between our knees. Then we stretch the free end (with a pin) through the fold of fabric formed after the stitching, putting the tulle on the “belt”. Be prepared for the fact that you will have to pull the elastic tightly, as there will be a lot of tulle. It is better to sew the edges of the elastic overlapping. That's it, the children's tulle tutu skirt, made by hand, is ready! You can sew along the edge of the hem, then the skirt will not cling to the tights and will become more elegant.

Third option

Another way is to make a tutu skirt with your own hands. The master class is attached in this article. To sew this product, you may need the ability to work with a sewing machine with knitted fabric, chiffon and tulle. A fluffy children's skirt made of tulle, sewn with your own hands, will look good as a petticoat.

Necessary materials

  1. A small piece of knitted fabric. We will need it for the belt, so take thick material that does not stretch.
  2. Thin and soft chiffon as a basis for ruffles. With a width of one and a half meters, you will need about two and a half to three meters of fabric (for five layers).
  3. Medium hardness tulle 1.5 m wide.

Progress

Fold the knitwear in half lengthwise and cut a strip equal to the child’s waist circumference with a seam allowance. Set this part aside for now, we will need it later. Now let's move on to chiffon. Iron it. Fold in half lengthwise and place on the table. Then take a ruler or measuring tape and mark the length of your skirt along the fold five times. Then cut the fabric into strips. You should end up with five cuts of fifty centimeters each, or less if you need a different length. From tulle we cut pieces twenty centimeters wide and one and a half meters long. There should be ten of them.

Now let's move on to the assembly. A do-it-yourself tulle tutu skirt for a girl will be created in a couple of hours. After all the preparations have been made, you need to take the tulle parts, fold them lengthwise and stitch them in the middle, gathering them a little on a thin line. When one strip comes to an end, we attach a second one to it. As a result, we should have five stripes of three meters each. After this, carefully pull out the bottom thread, but do not break it, so that the tulle gathers into folds. We perform this manipulation with all five parts. This was the most difficult part of the job. The children's room we created with our own hands is almost ready.

Now we take one piece of chiffon and attach tulle to it, stepping back five centimeters from the edge. When all the chiffon parts are fused with the tulle parts, you get five petticoats. All that remains is to connect them. To do this, we adjust the parts one on top of the other, retreating half a centimeter from each seam. At the end we sew a belt to cover the working part of our skirt. We do this according to the principle of basting the edging: we apply the front side of the belt to the front side of the skirt, and baste it. Then we throw the belt over the edge and carefully pin the fabric on the other side, bending the edge inward and making sure that it does not curve. Having made sure that it turned out evenly, we iron it through gauze, and then sew and remove the excess threads. That's it, the baby tulle skirt, designed by yourself, is ready!

As you can see, it is simple and affordable way please your child with a new outfit. made of tulle, created with your own hands, is a manifestation of mother’s love, care and creativity.

Over the past few years, tutu skirts for girls have gained unprecedented popularity. Still would! After all, they are beautiful, elegant, easy to make, and they are inexpensive. Tutu skirts for girls allow you to create different costumes, and children do not grow out of them so quickly. Read on and we will tell you in detail how to make such beauty with your own hands.

Simple for a girl

To make a basic model, you don't even have to sew anything.

To work you need:

  • tulle - the exact footage depends on the desired length of the skirt; you can take ready-made tulle ribbons;
  • satin ribbon 1-1.5 m - depending on the child’s waist circumference;
  • scissors;
  • cardboard with a height equal to half the desired length of the skirt.

Operating procedure:

  1. Cut the tulle into strips 10-15 cm wide. The most convenient way to do this is to roll out the roll and mark it with tailor’s needles every 10-15 cm. If you have ready-made ribbons, then skip this step.
  2. Take a piece of cardboard and tightly wrap the tulle strips around it, securing them with a money elastic band. Cut the strips on one side.
  3. Continue until you have about 80 blanks.
  4. Lay out the satin ribbon. Now take the tulle strip and fold it in half. Place the loop on the satin ribbon and thread the loose ends through to make a knot. Continue repeating until the material runs out or the desired volume is achieved.

This completes the work. This version of a tutu skirt for girls is good because the child can wear it for a very long time - the waist circumference can be changed as it increases, and the hip volume or length do not play a role due to the features of the style.

If you want to make it easier to put on clothes, replace the satin ribbon with a wide elastic band.

Experiment with different color combinations - this will only make the result more interesting.

Tutu skirts for girls often become the basis of themed costumes. For example, here's how easy it is to make Belle's ball gown from Beauty and the Beast:

Here, as a basis, take a wide elastic openwork bandage, which can easily be found on sale. Moreover, tulle in 2 shades of yellow is attached in several layers. This is possible thanks to the large number of rows of holes on the base. Upper layer The ribbons are gathered and decorated with bows to imitate the ruffles of the dress, like a princess in a cartoon.

The dress of another crowned favorite of the girls is made according to the same principle, but even simpler, without upper straps.

At the back of the base headband there is a single row of white tulle stripes to imitate Princess Elsa's cape.

How to do it yourself for a girl?

If you know how to work with a machine and are familiar with the basics of cutting, you can make such a charming model.

Materials:

  • tulle 5 m;
  • lining 1 m;
  • fabric 0.25 m;

How to sew a tutu skirt from tulle with your own hands? Using my example, I will show you how to quickly sew a tutu skirt for a girl step by step. This master class will help you easily sew a skirt for a child for dancing or a matinee. You will also learn how much tulle you need for a children's skirt, and how to choose the right fabric. Meet this charming girl, my niece Katya. Please love and respect!

Preparing a skirt for sewing

Katyushka is only 1 year old, but she already knows a lot about beauty and stylish clothes. As a caring aunt, I take great joy in helping my beloved niece dress up beautifully. In this article I will sew a tutu skirt from tulle for a one-year-old girl, namely for my little niece. The result will be a beautiful and fluffy skirt for a child.

How to choose fabric for a child’s tutu skirt

As you know, a tutu skirt is made of tulle. Tulle gives lightness and airiness to the skirt without weighing down the overall weight.

  • what is tulle? Tulle is a thin mesh made of polyester thread. The fabric is transparent, smooth, uniform. It can be matte, shiny, sprayed, with a printed pattern, voluminous appliqués, embroidery, sequins and beads;
  • tulle is almost weightless, only 15-40 grams. per square meter. Mainly used for sewing wedding dresses, formal, dance and ballroom dresses. Previously used as a mosquito net;
  • tulle drapes easily, allowing folds and gathers to lie smoothly and in the desired direction.
  • The main advantage of the fabric is its wrinkle resistance, which allows you to compactly put it in a suitcase and take it on the road. In addition, tulle is wear-resistant, does not absorb moisture and is not expensive;
  • Dirt from tulle can be easily cleaned; we can say that dirt does not stick due to the mesh structure. After washing, tulle products require almost no ironing; you can simply shake them, hang them up and let them dry. By the way: tulle dries very quickly, another plus;
  • tulle can be different: thin (soft), medium density and dense (hard). The word “tulle” is more suitable for thin fabric; it is what people sew from wedding veil. To sew a children's skirt, it is better to choose thin or medium tulle. Cuts of hard tulle will leave scratches on the baby’s delicate skin. A very fluffy tulle skirt is achieved by layering thin, soft tulle;
  • in addition to all the other advantages of tulle, you need to remember that thin tulle breaks easily. If you accidentally get caught on a bush or a sharp corner, you can easily tear the tulle tutu skirt. It is very difficult to sew up a tear and make it invisible. Be careful;
  • tulle is a synthetic fabric, so a tutu skirt requires a lining made of natural fiber or with a high content of it. Therefore, for the lining I chose a medium-weight dress fabric with a high cotton content;
  • Stretch guipure with beautiful floral patterns is perfect for a yoke. This guipure is highly stretchable, it fits tightly to the figure and fixes the skirt. This makes the tulle skirt easy to put on and take off.

How much tulle do you need for a children's skirt?

  1. Tulle 20.0 – 25.0 cm.
  2. Stretch guipure 12.0 – 15.0 cm.
  3. Lining fabric 20.0 – 25.0 cm.

You will also need:

  • threads in the color of the fabric 3 pcs.;
  • tailor's pins;
  • tape measure;
  • tailor's chalk or sharpened soap;
  • other sewing accessories.

What is the best way to sew a tulle skirt for a girl?

To sew the skirt, I decided to use a universal machine - a carpet lock. I think many needlewomen know about this wonderful machine. It is very convenient to sew knitwear on it and the seam turns out like a factory one. Various other fabrics can be joined in this way. A special stitch immediately connects the parts and stitches the cut. This is especially convenient when working with guipure; the stitching is quite strong and elastic.

If you don’t have a carpet stitcher, this stitch can be replaced on a regular machine, and the edges can be sewn using an overlocker.

Carpet stitching is full of other cool operations, such as roll hemming. It is convenient for them to process the lower cuts, so the seam is neat, light, almost invisible. Therefore, I will sew the tutu skirt on carpet.

If you are not satisfied with a tutu skirt with a yoke without a belt, you can make a tulle skirt with an elastic band with a belt.

Open tutu skirts with your own hands

Before you start cutting out the skirt, be sure to trim all the fabrics, i.e. Iron with a steam iron to give the fabric the necessary shrinkage. Thanks to this, after washing the finished skirt will not shrink or decrease in size.

Preparing for cutting

The tutu skirt of this model consists of 3 rectangles:

  • wide belt in the form of a yoke;
  • lining (petticoat);
  • tulle overskirt.

I didn’t buy the fabric for the skirt for my niece on purpose. I sewed from what was in my bins. And there were enough of them to clutter my mother's attic. For example, the fabric for the lining was left over from sewing a sheath dress. View the master class on. And the guipure and tulle were left over from previous orders. So, I didn’t have to spend much on buying fabric. In addition, this is a great option to get rid of excess garbage that goes into business. How do you solve this problem?

Cut out your skirts

  • Open the yokes

To do this, we measure the circumference of the waist and hips (usually these values are the same for babies, so you can take the waist circumference). We subtract 5 cm from the resulting value, this will be the length of the rectangle (this value can vary, it all depends on the stretchability of the fabric. To avoid mistakes, you can first wrap a piece of fabric around the child’s figure and check for stretchability).

The width of the rectangle is 10.0 - 15.0 cm. Since the yoke is double, multiply this value by 2. When cutting, do not forget to add allowances to the length and width of the rectangle of 1.5 - 2.0 cm to connect the parts.

  • Cut out the lining (underskirt)

In this case, the length of the lining rectangle is 2 times longer than the yoke, so multiply the length of the yoke (including allowances) by 2. The width of the lining rectangle depends on the length of the skirt; it can be determined by choice. In my case it is 20.0 – 25.0 cm, also + 0.5 cm allowance for processing the bottom and 0.7-1.0 cm for joining the yoke.

You can choose the allowance for processing the bottom yourself, depending on how you process the cut. In my case, the cut is processed using a roller seam on a carpet locker. You can also process the bottom cut with a zigzag or overlock it with an overlocker and hem it on a machine. Or process it with bias tape, lace, braid, etc. at your discretion.

  • Cutting out the tulle overskirt

You need to know that the tulle is cut out to the same size as the lining (it can be a little larger in length and width). Then the skirt will be fluffy, and the lining will not peek out from under the tulle.

Sewing a children's skirt

After all the details of the skirt are cut out, you can start sewing them down. If you come across unfamiliar sewing terms, refer to my and.

Processing the yoke

Connect the sections of the yoke along the width to create a closed part (ring). Iron the seam, turn the yoke right side out, fold it in half and carefully iron it. Be careful! Guipure is highly flammable, so iron on low temperatures, through the ironing iron.

Stitching the top and bottom skirt

Sew the tulle sections and press the seam. Iron the tulle carefully, at low temperatures (the fabric melts easily), preferably through an ironing iron.

Sew the seam on the lining (in my case, the lining turned out to have two seams).

Press the seam.

What should happen:

Processing the bottom of the lining

Process the bottom edge of the lining in a manner convenient for you. Press the seam.

The bottom of the tulle does not need to be processed; it does not crumble.

Processing the top edge of the skirt with gathering

Gather the top cut of the tulle and then the lining. To make the assembly even, to do this, lay two parallel machine lines from the edge to the width of the presser foot. To make the assembly easy to assemble, loosen the upper thread regulator a little (I usually set it to 2). Also increase the stitch length to 0.4 cm.

To make it easier to remove seams from the assembly in the future, use threads of a contrasting color. This way they won’t get lost after connecting to the yoke.

To get an even gather, gently pull both bottom threads (shuttle threads) to prevent them from snapping. Gather and distribute evenly a gathering equal to the circumference of the yoke. Tie the ends of the threads into knots and cut off the excess. Do the same on the lining.

Connection of the upper and lower skirt

Connect the lining and tulle together using running stitches, matching the cuts and seams.

Connecting a skirt with a yoke

Align the seam of the yoke with the seams of the tulle and lining, connect the yoke and skirt using running stitches. For convenience, first align the sections and secure with tailor's pins.

Machine stitch from the yoke side.

Remove all temporary threads.

How to decorate a skirt

The skirt can be decorated with a bright bow made of finishing braid or any other bow of your choice.

Head adornment

From the remnants of the skirt, I decided to make my own for my niece. beautiful stripe with a flower to go with the skirt.

This is such a lovely skirt.

Skirt presentation

My niece, despite her young age, already appreciated the gift.

The future fashionista is growing up! I feel like my aunt will soon be overwhelmed with orders!

The ability to sew clothes for a child significantly saves the budget, and the products are much better than branded ones. I will say one thing, sewing a tutu skirt for a girl is a pleasure!

Options for tulle skirt models

Take a look at my personal selection of original skirts that you can sew for your little princess.

This model really interested me. I would like to sew one for Katyushka!

A tulle skirt is a universal wardrobe item that reflects the nature of a fashionista, especially if it is made with your own hands. Using a detailed master class, even a novice craftswoman can cope with sewing. The main thing is to have the necessary supplies for the job.

Required materials and tools

To make a product to size, you need to measure your waist circumference and desired length. For this purpose you need a centimeter. Based on the layering of the skirt, we select the required amount of tulle. The more layers, the more material.

There is nothing difficult to sew a tulle skirt with your own hands

Also, fabric will be useful for work, which will serve as a lining. It is best to use an atlas.

If the model requires an elastic band, then it is better to purchase two options at once: thin and wider. The rubber band is worth paying attention to Special attention, since it depends on its density and quality how well the skirt will stay at the waist.

The following auxiliary materials will be useful:

  • scissors (it is important that they are sharp enough);
  • ruler;
  • pins for fixation;
  • for cutting: paper, a piece of soap for tracing and a pencil;
  • threads (it is better to immediately match them to the tone of the product);
  • sewing machine;
  • tracing paper

What makes a children's skirt different from an adult's? Basic sewing rules

A do-it-yourself tulle skirt, a master class and a detailed process for making an adult product look like this:

  1. On tracing paper you need to carefully draw a double semicircle. Both semicircles have a meaning: the first corresponds to the size of the waist circumference, and the second indicates the length of the future product.
  2. The next stage is to carefully cut out the template with scissors.
  3. Next, you need to fold the fabric so that you end up with 8 layers. This is done simply: first, the material is folded in half, then in four, and the last stage is 8 layers.
  4. Use pins to secure the fabric along the edges of the gather.
  5. Cut out the template.
  6. The result should be 4 even circles with a hole inside. Place the resulting parts on top of each other and secure with needles or pins in the waist area: front, back and sides.
  7. Connect the ends of the elastic band and sew them together.

Product assembly:

  • Place the fabric on the inside of the elastic band and machine sew along the entire radius.
  • In a triangular shape, cut out tulle weaving for the cover.
  • Be sure to finish the top edge of the product with a basting stitch and tighten the thread so that the tubular cover sits well on the waist.
  • The bottom tulle layer is secured to the lining material. The excess that is visible from the hem needs to be trimmed off.

It’s even easier and faster to sew a children’s tulle skirt with your own hands.

A product master class for a little fashionista looks like this:

  • Cut tulle ribbons 10 cm wide, maybe a little narrower. Their length should be 2 times longer than planned.
  • Take a wide, thick elastic band and connect its edges.
  • You need to tie ribbons folded in half to the rubber base. It is inconvenient to do this procedure while hanging, so it is better to pull the elastic band over the back of the chair.
  • Attach the pieces of tape in a circle until all the free space is filled.

At this point, the technical process of sewing a classic tulle skirt is considered complete. If desired, the outfit can be decorated with various decorative elements.

Types of models

Thanks to the imagination and art of designers, tulle skirts began to have different cut variations. This allows you to wear them tailored different styles, combining with a variety of accessories.

Tulle tutu skirt

One of the options for sewing a tulle tutu skirt looks like this:

  • Measure your waist size.
  • Cut 3 pieces of tulle, the length of which will be equal to the desired length of the product, and the width will be equal to the waist diameter, taking into account allowances.
  • Take a thick, wide elastic band with a length equal to the diameter of the waist, and sew its ends together.
  • Sew each layer of tulle to the elastic in turn.
  • To cover visible seams at the waistline, you need to carefully sew a satin ribbon.
  • As an additional decoration, you can sew trim to the edges of the product.

Romantic chopin skirt

A shoppen skirt can be called truly airy and light. The advantage is the length. You can sew it yourself long skirt or shortened to the knees. This product is sewn from thin tulle.

The cutting process consists of the following stages:

  1. The first thing to do is sew the lining. It should be shorter than the main fabric and have a width that matches the size of the hips. Gather the top of the lining with thread. Initially, 1 m of fabric is taken.
  2. A tulle piece of fabric having a length of 1.5 m and a width of 3 m must be folded in half, i.e. in half. The fold line must be stitched manually. Gather and baste to lining.
  3. First, the belt is sewn to the skirt, and then the mesh fabric needs to be sewn onto the belt. To keep the product well at the waist, it is better to put on an elastic band.

Skirt with large ruffles

This option looks very feminine. Depending on the length, the style can be modified.

A miniskirt with frills will emphasize the slenderness of your legs, a pencil skirt with frills will draw attention to the beautiful contours of your hips.

To make such a model yourself, you need to decide on the length, take measurements of the waist and hips.

The scheme is as follows:

  • Determine what the width of the frills will be. Divide the desired length by 3.
  • Next you need to prepare the patterns. The rectangular top of the product should correspond to the circumference of the hips. But at the same time it is worth leaving a little margin for allowance.
  • The next stage is cutting out the frill. Details have triangular shape, their size depends on the desired layering.
  • Sew the finished patterns together. The edges must be processed.

Carrie Bradshaw's full skirt

Carrie Bradshaw's style is luxurious and combines romance and originality. All that is needed for such a model is satin fabric for the lining, tulle of the required length and a rubber base.

Satin fabric will need a brighter color, such as red. The second piece is white mesh fabric. The third piece is tulle, for example, pink. The length of all segments is the same - 2 m.

Step by step workflow:

  • All fabric pieces are overlapped one after another. Accordingly, the lining will be at the very bottom, and the tulle will be the top layer.
  • We collect the upper edges on needles in the form of an accordion. This is how the folds necessary for pomp are formed.
  • The needles are removed and a machine stitch is sewn. Anything that seems unnecessary is simply cut off with scissors.
  • Next, measure the length of the elastic and cut as much as needed.
  • Attach the top edge of the skirt to a wide elastic band. Sew the edges. The product is ready.

Long skirt with lining

Long tulle skirts with lining are ideal for tall girls, emphasizing their slimness. To sew such a skirt, you must first measure the length correctly. The belt is not taken into account. In addition, there should be a seam allowance of approximately 2 cm.

Important: thin tulle should be 5 cm longer than the lining fabric.

The prepared material must be basted to the belt. In this case, the basting should occur in such a way that neat and uniform folds are formed.

Skirt with elastic instead of a belt

Instead of a belt, you can use an elastic band. This option is done according to a simplified scheme and does not require much time.

Sewing process:

  • For a good fit at the waist, you need to wear a wide, thick elastic band.
  • Connect its ends using the stitching method. Pull it over the back of the chair.
  • Take rolled tulle and cut it into strips of the required width.
  • Each piece, folded in half, is tied to an elastic band in a circle.

All that remains is to fasten and stitch. The product is ready.

Tulle skirt with cover

Tulle skirt with cover ready master class It's incredibly easy to sew. Everything you need to know before you start independent work– this is the waist circumference and the desired length. For sewing you will need a wide elastic band, tulle itself, for the underskirt fabric - this is the cover.

To correctly calculate your waist circumference, you need to divide its size by 3.14. The result obtained is divided by 2.

For a cover you need to multiply your waist circumference by 1.5. The pattern details are drawn on tracing paper and then cut out.

Manufacturing process:

  • Tulle is folded into 8 layers. A template is attached to it and cut out.
  • The result is 4 circles with holes inside. They need to be basted to each other alternately in the area where the belt is located.
  • The product is attached to an elastic band using pins. Then it is basted to it with a zigzag seam.
  • Two pieces of fabric for the cover are sewn together on the sides. A stitch is made along the upper edge of the cover, which is then pulled together to a size equal to the waist radius.
  • The resulting underskirt is sewn to a rubber base. The product is ready.

Tutu skirt with satin ribbons

The tutu skirt looks very good on both adults and children.

It's very easy to do it yourself:

  • To achieve the necessary pomp, you need to take an elastic band at least 2 cm wide and a length comparable to your waist circumference.
  • Strips of the desired width are cut from tulle, for example, 15 cm. The length should be twice the original.
  • The ends of the elastic are sewn together. The resulting rubber ring is put on the chair. Next, the process is already familiar - tying strips in a circle.
  • The next step is to prepare the pieces satin ribbon, equal to the width of the tulle segments. Using a sewing machine, sew each ribbon onto a tulle strip.

Tutu Skirt with Sharp Edges

The tutu skirt is sewn in exactly the same way as classic version made of tulle with smooth edges. The only difference here is the cutting of the tulle pieces. If in the standard version they are cut straight, then in this case the process occurs at an angle.

Next comes the assembly of the model using any in a convenient way: the sections are tied with an elastic band or sewn together on a belt.

Organza layered skirt

To sew such a skirt, you need to follow these steps:

  • Take 4 pieces of tulle of the required size.
  • Sew each section along the top edge.
  • Tighten the remaining tip of the thread so that you get a small “accordion”.
  • You need to pull the thread until the length of the upper edge is equal to the waist circumference. Only after this can you trim off the excess, after tying knots at the edges of the threads. Do this manipulation with each tulle segment.

The next stage is working with pieces of organza (there should be 5 pieces). We do the same as with the tulle pieces.

Next, you need to put the organza on the first tulle layer and carefully baste it under the stitching. To close all the seams, you should prepare a piece of satin ribbon for the belt, iron it and stitch it to the product.

In the future, it can be beautifully tied into a bow.

Wedding tulle skirt

A tulle skirt is also appropriate for wedding dress.

You can do it yourself, following the master class:

  • Sew a satin lining base.
  • On the lining, make marks with a pencil in the form of dots arranged in a checkerboard pattern.
  • Cut out squares from tulle. Their sides should be equal, for example 16 by 16 cm. The number of squares will affect the splendor.
  • Each square will need to be taken at any corner and sewn to the intended points. The end result will be a very full skirt.

After all these manipulations, the product must be attached to a rubber base. The work is completed.

American skirt

An elegant full American skirt is sewn from three parts - rectangles of chiffon, tulle and satin.

For example, consider an option that is suitable for a little girl:

  • The first chiffon rectangle will have a height of 20 cm and a length of 120 cm, the second and third will be 11 cm each. But the length of the third is 3 cm greater than the second.
  • Ruffles are made of tulle, their width will be no more than 7 cm.
  • Chiffon rectangles are processed along the edges.
  • The tulle ribbon must be sewn on a machine and pulled together to create beautiful ruffles.
  • After this, you need to sew the resulting ruffle to the bottom edge of the chiffon fabric. There will be 2 such blanks. This is how the first tier is obtained.
  • Next is work with the yoke. You need to form a tube from satin fabric and sew it. Iron the seam on one side. The result is an element into which the elastic band will be threaded.
  • A second tier of chiffon with tulle is sewn to the edge of the yoke. The next tier of fabric is sewn a little lower.
  • An elastic band is inserted into the satin tube and everything is sewn together.

Seamless pattern

For this model you will need rolled tulle, which must be cut into equal strips. Each strip is folded in half and tied to the tape using a knotted method.

The closer the knots are to each other, the more fluffy the resulting skirt will be. All that remains is to tie the ends of the ribbon.

Skirt with train

The peculiarity of this model is that the main skirt is sewn separately from the train.

The train itself should be made of soft and thin tulle, while the rest of the details should be made of hard.

The main tulle skirt is made in this way:

  • Pieces of tulle of equal length are tied to an elastic band.
  • The same length should be maintained at the front of the product and at the sides.
  • The remaining free space, i.e. the back side will be filled with pieces of tulle that are twice as long as the main one.

Striped skirt without sewing

You don’t have to know how to sew to make yourself or your daughter a beautiful, elegant item.

Making a skirt without sewing looks like this:

  • Tulle strips are attached to a baby headband (you can buy a ready-made one in the store). The convenience of the headbands lies in the fact that they stretch well and at the same time have a mesh structure that allows you to tie the tulle evenly in a circle.
  • There can be many rows, since the width of the bandage allows you to choose the number of tiers.

This model can be made in an hour if you prepare the necessary materials in advance.

How to decorate a classic tulle skirt

For this you can use:

  • satin ribbons;
  • shiny rhinestones;
  • beads;
  • artificial flowers;
  • decorative bows;
  • sparkles.

You can place the decoration anywhere, both below and throughout the skirt. For example, the bottom of the skirt can be decorated with rhinestones or sequins in the form of flowers. Using beads and beads, you can lay out an inscription or design.
