The recent trend has been to look as if you have just returned from a seaside holiday. One of the components of the image is the effect of sun-bleached hair. IN real life This situation dries out the curls, makes them brittle and leads to excessive hair loss. A new armoring technique has come to the rescue, allowing you to achieve the same result, but in the salon. This allows you to maintain the healthy condition of your strands and at the same time follow fashion.

What's happened

Dyeing in several shades creates the impression of a large volume of hair. The usual monocolor clearly loses in this aspect. The play of tones and play of light makes the face look younger and fresher.

Attention! A specific technique allows you not to expose the root zone to paint. This frees girls from regular adjustments to overgrown strands.

Several shades on the hair, smoothly transitioning from one to another, for those who prefer aristocracy and nobility. This coloring is for girls who know what chic and discreet, discreet solutions are.

Negative qualities include:

  • duration of the process;
  • the need to maintain curls in perfect condition, because the technique looks most advantageous on shiny, well-groomed curls;
  • the overall tone needs to be restored.

It is impossible to almost completely repeat the primary shade. This is explained by the large color palette applied to the curls.

Cost in the salon and for home use

The armoring technique is technically complex and it is difficult to perform the procedure correctly at home.

Qualified craftsmen who have undergone training and have certain experience can cope with the task. Masters perform the procedure for 4,500–8,000 rubles. The cost depends on the level of the salon and the qualifications of the specialist. The process is labor-intensive and can harm the strands.

If you want to carry out an economical procedure at home, then you should be prepared for the fact that the result will not be quite as expected. True, the main effect will be achieved - saving money. When choosing paints, you will only have to pay for a few bottles. The cost depends on the brand. Domestic formulations have a lower cost than foreign analogues. Cost from 200 to 650 rubles.

Important point! Choosing tones for home procedures it is necessary to remember that the difference in shades should not exceed 3 tones. Only then it will not be highlighting, but bronding.

Types of coloring suitable for dark hair

Depending on personal preferences and individuality, the type of work is selected. This is a classic, Californian, zonal coloring, ombre effect.

Classic- coloring that imitates naturalness as much as possible. The specialist selects shades that most closely match color harmony. This is more of a highlight, well adjusted between the colors of the curls and the tone of the skin of the face. An experienced master selects the best option, taking into account natural color hair, desired result.

Ombre effect creates the illusion of regrown roots. The dark root zone and the lighter part of the curls give the appearance of sun-bleached hair. This technique continues to be popular among celebrities. Using a special technique of applying paint, a smooth transition of tones is created on the strands. The darkest area is the roots, the lightest is the ends. The most effective results of this technique are achieved when using a large number of colors. The bigger, the better.

Zonal- this is not the coloring of the entire head, but of individual strands in different shades. A very effective type of bronding, which allows you to look original and combine 2 tones in one image - to become a brunette and a blonde at the same time.

What shades and colors are suitable

The most popular technique is for dark hair. Against such a background, the effect is most pronounced, which is why most stars with dark hair use this technique.

Experts do not recommend doing the procedure on black hair. The reason is that it is necessary to repaint the curls in the base color. This process will make an already lengthy procedure even longer. If the black color of the strands is natural, then it is dyed to a chestnut tone, and then worked according to the usual scheme.

If the black tone is artificial, then remove it with a wash and then begin painting. Brown, cognac and copper shades look good on this hair type.

Close shades are suitable for chestnut curls - coffee, copper, honey. For brown-haired women and brunettes, ash, cognac, and honey colors will be successful.

It is worth noting, that the palette is chosen individually, and a good master will tell you which shades are best to choose.

Features of coloring depending on length

Features of the procedure:

  • for working with dark hair, a chocolate-coffee palette is selected;
  • the difference between shades should be 2-3 tones;
  • for dark curls, the root zone can be left unpainted or the darkest of the selected tones can be applied;
  • brunettes should paint the root area a lighter color to avoid contrast;
  • the lightest color is at the ends of the hair, the middle zone is a transitional area with medium color;
  • on short hairstyle Ombre looks better, classic on a long one;
  • For optimal effect, the procedure is performed on straight hair. On curly and wavy hair, the result does not look so impressive;
  • To make the result last longer, lamination is carried out immediately after the procedure.

Coloring technique

The result depends on the skill of the specialist performing the procedure. Good master accurately defines the edges and prevents the transition of bronzing to highlighting.

  1. Cut off split ends.
  2. The procedure begins with applying the composition to an area a few cm from the roots.
  3. Divide your curls into 6 zones.
  4. The composition should be applied first to the back of the head.
  5. A thin strand is separated and paint is applied to the tablet.
  6. A thick strand is separated and lightly combed.
  7. The mixture is applied.
  8. Thin and thick strands alternate.
  9. Using a brush, the composition is evenly distributed along the required length.
  10. Each curl is wrapped in foil.
  11. The upper part of the head is treated with paint, parallel to the front hairline.
  12. Bang area - apply the mixture perpendicular to the hairline.
  13. In the center of the bangs area, you need to leave some of the curls without dyeing.
  14. The mixture should be left on the hair for no more than 40 minutes, then rinsed off.

Features of care

Like all colored hair, after the bronding procedure, the curls need additional hydration and nutrition.

After the session, you should wash your hair with mild shampoos, apply masks and balms to the strands to help preserve color. Hair must be protected from sunlight and avoid hypothermia. Bad effect on such curls. While relaxing, you should use hats and prevent salt water from getting on your strands.

A spectacular and shining hairstyle that will tell others that the girl is trendy and follows fashion - this is bronding. With such a choice it is impossible to be unstylish and out-of-date in any clothes.

Hair bronding.

Naturalness is in fashion now more than ever. More and more often, girls are dyeing their curls in shades close to natural. Hair bronding is great way shade dark strands, visually add volume to the coiffure and update the image.

What it is

Bronzing is the dyeing of hair in different shades of brown; the main feature of the technique is that black, light brown, white and even red curls lend themselves to it. Of course, white strands can also be shaded, but in most cases it looks unnatural, which goes against the main thrust of the technology.

Painting is carried out in a variety of shades color range, the selection is made depending on the girl’s personal preferences and the appropriate palette. Now it is very fashionable to dye your hair in chocolate, dark brown, natural red, dark blond and dark chestnut options. In terms of its effect on the hair, bronding is on the same level as highlighting, but it is safer. Unlike lightening, dyeing brown does not require bleaching the hair, which has a positive effect on its structure.

Why do you need to bronze your hair:

  1. To create a fashionable natural look;
  2. To get a beautiful visual volume;
  3. The procedure is suitable for recently dyed hair, so it can be used to correct mistakes made by the hairdresser;
  4. Many companies offer not only completely safe products, but also restorative ones. After high-quality bronding, highlighted hair becomes thicker, shinier and stronger.

Photos before and after prove that bronzing your hair not only refreshes your appearance, but also takes excellent care of your locks.

Kinds

The armoring technique allows you to choose any suitable option, types of coloring can be very different. Depending on fashion trends or style, you can choose the following methods:

  1. Ombre;
  2. Classic coloring;
  3. Zonal;
  4. Coloring;
  5. Open Brazilian + alignment.

Ombre- This is the most famous type of hair coloring today. Curls are colored only partially, for example, from the ends to the middle of the strand; sometimes girls dye them asymmetrically or simply unevenly along the entire length. This is very fashionable and stylish, visually making the hair more voluminous.

Classic coloring involves shading several strands of hair in one color. Unlike many curl coloring techniques, a hairdresser uses only one color to work with. The method helps to give the hair additional volume; in addition, under certain lighting, the hair shimmers interestingly, which adds zest to the image.

Coloring resembles classic armoring, but it uses several shades of paint to achieve the most beautiful effect. Shades can be selected in one range, or they can be used from different ones. Many girls recommend starting from several options of the same color. For example, for blondes it can be light blond, blond, dark blond. For redheads: light chestnut, brown, milk chocolate.

Open booking The effect is very similar to lamination. In some cases, it is even performed with washable tint balms, which are aimed not so much at coloring, but at treating strands. This painting is done on lightened or damaged chemical procedures, curls.

The most unusual armoring is considered zonal. This is a shading of only certain areas of the hairstyle, thanks to which certain accents can be made. For example, it is more advantageous to present a haircut or hairstyle or to hide some imperfections (irregular shape of the head, face, thinning areas, etc.).

In addition, the procedure is also divided according to the color of the curls to which it is applied. Bronzing on dark hair is the most common; it is used by celebrity stylists: J.Lo, Angelina Jolie, Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian. It should be noted that in addition to improving the condition of the hairstyle, this coloring rejuvenates due to its calm shimmer.

At the same time, booking on blonde hair, prefers Sarah Jessica Parker, Cara Delevingne, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Aniston. Do not confuse this technique with highlighting. Highlighting brightens, colors it in lighter shades, and bronde shades it a little, creating certain accents.

Bronzing technology for light and dark hair

This coloring technique is quite simple. It does not require special knowledge, unlike lightening, because depending on the chosen shade and natural color, errors during work are not too noticeable.

How to do booking for short and long hair in the salon step by step:

  1. The curls are washed, contrary to all stereotypes, the dye adheres better to clean hair;
  2. Afterwards, trimming is done so that the hairstyle is as fresh and beautiful as possible. If you do not want to remove the length, then you need to immediately inform the hairdresser about this;
  3. Afterwards, depending on which hair bronding technique was chosen, a coloring composition is applied. For example, during ombre painting, painting is carried out in several stages, while during classical painting, the entire procedure consists of one;
  4. The coloring composition remains on the curls for 30 - 50 minutes, depending on the original color and the desired result. Afterwards the head is washed again. Very often, after the procedure, hair is susceptible to restorative procedures: lamination, straightening, keratin restoration.

In the salon, a lot depends not only on the experience of the master, but also on the paints that were used for the procedure. It should be noted such brands as WELLA, Schwarzkopf Professional, L’Oreal, Organic, Keune and Parisienne. They are considered safe and cause minimal harm to curls.

How to make at home

But coloring in salons is quite an expensive pleasure; not every girl can afford to visit hairdressers every month for additional coloring of her locks. Therefore, we suggest studying a master class on how to do hair bronzing at home:

  1. Wash your hair, dry the strands, depending on the brand, the paint can be applied to both dry and wet curls, so read the instructions carefully;
  2. For greater convenience, we recommend using a swimming cap or pieces of foil. Make holes in the cap for the strands, gradually pull them out and color them. When using foil, you just need to smear the strand with paint and twist it into foil;
  3. Rinse off after the time specified in the instructions, cover your hair with special masks or at least balm.

At home, it is most convenient to work with Estel (estel), Goldwell, CHI (ammonia-free paint), Matrix, L'Oreal (Latin Copacabana Breeze) paints. Regardless of the length, we recommend touching up your locks every month and a half. If you wish, you can take a hairdressing course where professionals provide shading training.

Any beauty salon offers discounts to regular customers; also remember that with a shorter length, the cost is an order of magnitude lower. Services are provided for curls from the first to the fourth length. Reviews claim that hair bronding is an affordable (although the price is higher than simple dyeing - it’s worth it) and a safe procedure.

Hair bronzing – fashionable novelty in an area that is especially often used for hair of natural dark shades. If you look and visually compare two photos before and after light bronding on dark hair, you can see that the color has become richer and more multifaceted. After this interesting procedure, you will no longer be called either a brunette or a blonde. After all, bronding means a peculiar mix of dark and lightened strands. Bronzing hair on dark hair results in luxurious tints and a natural appearance of the hair. Bronzing is a type of original creative coloring that is done on the entire volume of hair in thin strands in shades of similar tonality. The end result is beautiful color shifts. In general, recently the beauty industry has been developing rapidly and every season new technologies appear, for example, such as Boost Up.

Benefits of hair bronzing

  • Naturalness

As mentioned earlier, bronding on dark hair, if done correctly by a specialist, looks quite natural due to the harmonious combination of similar shades of dye.

  • Bronding can be called a gentle procedure

Bronzing hair on dark hair does not involve lightening it, which means it leaves the hair healthier. For this procedure, gentle coloring compounds are used.

  • Bronzing is easy to do at home

Bronzing is the tinting of strands in 2-3 shades, the technique is very similar to highlighting. The main thing is to choose the right shades of dye. If you have already tried highlighting before and it worked out well, then highlighting will not be difficult for you to master.

Bronzing hair on dark hair: learning how to do it at home (video tutorial and examples of before and after photos)

It’s enough to watch a video tutorial and a few before and after photos to understand the technique of bronzing dark hair, but to master it you need to practice a little. To perform beautiful bronzing on dark hair, you will need a brush with a comb, coloring compounds and foil. We roughly divide the hair into zones (back of the head, bangs, parietal region and sides). It is better to work with each zone one by one. First, the back of the head is painted in a lighter shade. To add depth to the color, make the top strands lighter than the bottom strands. Next, we dye the hair using the usual highlighting technique, the order of choosing the shade and strands is free.

See the photo below for examples of this fashionable type of coloring.

Bronzing hair: before and after photos on dark hair

There are three classifications of armoring (see photos of the three main ones below).

  • Classic dark hair bronzing, before and after photos;
  • Bronzing hair with division into zones (partial dyeing for dark hair);
  • Ombre bronding (mixing 2 coloring techniques).

New hair coloring techniques appear along with newly created modern dyes, which are distinguished by their gentle effect, variety of pigments, and inexhaustible combination possibilities. And at the moment when it seems that it will no longer be possible to invent something new, it appears and conquers the planet.

Bronzing hair appeared as a response to the highlighting technique for blondes. It is known that classic highlighting of strands looks harmonious only on girls with naturally fair hair. Brunettes and brown-haired women who had undergone highlighting looked far from natural in comparison with blondes, and therefore unprofitable.

Wanting to be on par with their rivals, they had at their disposal a special technique that combines the equal use of darker and very light tones when painting. Bronding - from the English "brown" - brown, and "blond" - light, turned dark-haired beauties into a real weapon of magnificent mass destruction.

What is the difference from other highlighting techniques?

Bronding refers to a multi-stage dyeing technique that has become widespread in the last decade. It means applying dye to the hair several times: first one tone, then another, then the next, and so on up to five or more different shades. Thanks to this hairdressing trick, the color looks very natural. Moreover, bronding immediately solves problems that conventional hair dye cannot:

  • The hairstyle looks natural. The created effect of burnt curls refreshes the face and is often perceived as natural. What media figures have been successfully using for a long time: actresses, singers, popular TV presenters, show divas from glossy covers.
  • With correctly placed dark and light accents, the master is able to correct the client’s imperfect face, drawing attention to the advantages of appearance: highlighting eyes of an unusual color, sharpening facial features, or vice versa, giving them softness.
  • There is no need to constantly touch up regrown roots. With the right color tone, the roots will harmoniously fit into the whole picture, adding spice to the hairstyle.
  • Color transitions last a long time.
  • Visual volume is formed for thin and weak hair. At the same time, staining does not damage their structure.
  • It is permissible to use ammonia-free formulations that are gentle even on porous and fragile hair shafts.

All of the above points constitute the undeniable advantages of armoring over some other techniques.

Booking

However, it is not uncommon for there to be stylish confusion in the minds of clients. When visiting a hairdresser, they demand that the hairdressers give them a bronzing treatment, presenting as a sample a photo of beauties with Californian highlights, or a package of paint intended for ombre.

Bronding differs from highlighting in that there is no clear distinction between the bleached strands and all the others. From the shatush technique - in that it not only “bleaches” the ends of the hair, but also stretches the color along its entire length, to the very roots.

The difference with balayage is that only strands are dyed, and not all the hair, and bronding differs from ombre in the blurring of the horizontal border, which the “dégrade” technique always has, clearly visible to the eye.

The fashionable technique of bronding is available to every woman, now - regardless of the color of her strands. But you need to understand that some will get results immediately, while others will have to spend several hours more in the chair to get closer to their dream. The fact is that this coloring requires significant effort from the master - both physical, which consists of preparing the necessary mixtures, mixing ingredients in the correct proportions, carefully applying the product, and creative. The client’s hair in front of him is like a clean canvas under the creator’s brush. The appearance of a woman’s head will depend on the artistic taste and professionalism of the hairdresser. In addition to these circumstances, the success of the change appearance will depend on:

– original color. Bronding is easiest to do on curls from dark blond to chestnut color.

– length. For short and ultra short hair this technique is not performed. Its meaning is in the shimmer of color, which is simply lost in the missing length.

– quality of strands. Direct and Wavy hair beautifully illuminated by armoring. On curly hair, this effect disappears.

Coloring technique

There are three main types of armoring. All methods have only one thing in common - the difference between adjacent shades should not be more than three tones. It is this transition that guarantees a completely natural result. The number of such shades, however, is limited only by the skill of the hairdresser and the amount of his free time that he can spend on you.

  1. Classic booking. Produced over several days. First, regular highlighting is used, and then the strands are painted over with a brush over and over again, choosing light colors.
  2. Zonal. As the name suggests, a certain area of the hair is dyed: the upper one is light, the lower one is dark, thick, chocolate shades. Sometimes the artist makes a so-called deepening of color near the very roots, darkening them and trying to match the tone of the lower zone.
  3. With ombre effect. With this type, the ends of the strands throughout the entire volume of the head are highlighted, and then the color is stretched along the length of the hair. At the same time, they seem to be covered with a light mother-of-pearl haze, which causes an indescribable play of highlights on the curls. An especially good option is when, closer to the ends, gradual lightening is applied to the curls, to the lightest possible gradient. This hairstyle gains pomp and volume and attracts attention.

Bronzing for different hair colors

The technique was invented for dark-haired young ladies, but blondes very quickly tried to turn this gift of stylists against their rivals, and, I must say, they succeeded. Following the blondes, fair-haired and red-haired adherents of experiments flocked to the masters' chairs. As a result, bronding has ceased to be the prerogative of only one, narrow group of natural brunettes.

Bronzing for dark and black hair

In order to carry out this procedure efficiently on black hair, the hairdresser has to work hard. The fact is that bronde still implies brown shades, and not the colors of a raven wing. Therefore, simply applying a light tone to natural black strands does not mean real bronzing.

The best solution is to use shades of dark chocolate, black coffee, dark chestnut, brown, and nut shades on dark hair.

Bronzing brown hair

Oddly enough, this type of coloring is most flattering for those with light brown hair. The master should select shades based on the client’s color type: from cool pearl and coffee with milk to warm wheat, amber, cappuccino.

Bronzing for blonde hair

Not everyone can understand blondes who want to turn into a bronde. However, this modification gives an excellent result - naturally light hair is not rich in shades, and the use of partial darkening gives it depth and volume. They flow, sway, look very alive and attractive. In this case, nature will also tell you the right direction in color temperature, which tones to choose - cold or warm.

Coloring for red hair

Often, interference with the natural color of a red-haired beauty’s hairstyle is opposed by the special shade of her facial skin. For most, it is light, delicate, and often has pigmentation. It can be very difficult to choose a color that would not add even more redness to the face or highlight the bright spots of freckles. Bronzing allows you to soften the harshness of changes, soft highlights on the hair will highlight the color of the iris, outline the eyebrows, and turn flaws into advantages. Beige light brown, walnut, chestnut colors - this is the range on which you need to play the magical music of transformation.

Bronzing and hair length: beauty to the maximum

Long hair

Of course, this is the most desirable springboard for all sorts of experiments in the field of armoring. Long hair allows you to place color accents and get a completely different result in each new case. You can play with the depth of color, get the effect of highlights or a smooth wave of fluid color. Create an accent on the face by highlighting the strands, or volume on the head by darkening the roots and ends.

Average length

This length of hair is optimal for zonal booking. All other types of it are also easily achievable if the tips go down at least to the shoulders. A cascading haircut and the absence of torn strands will be an additional advantage for medium-length hair.

Bronzing for short hair

There are masters with special golden hands who manage to perform such a complex technique on short length Pixie or Gavroche, without losing its essence - highlights and color transitions. However, there are only a few such masters, and not everyone can afford the cost of original work. However, if the length of the strands reaches 10 cm, you can try. The most recommended technique is zonal armoring. The most suitable hairstyle would be a bob or bob.

Structure and color

Many girls with straight hair have wanted to have curls since childhood. It is for them that curlers, curling irons, and stylers were invented. And it is for them that bronding was invented, and this is the case when curliness is not a plus, but a minus.

The great advantage of straight strands is their flexibility and variability. They look equally beautiful both in a loose state and in a fancy hairstyle. Both short and long haircut there is always room for creativity and variation. Bronding amazingly revitalizes straight hair and presents it very advantageously.

Wavy hair

Owners of wavy curls - long and medium - can resort to this coloring technique, since the highlights are easier to place on them, and a professional can even make them work in the right direction: to provide lightness to the hairstyle or to add volume.

Curly hair, especially with a steep curl, most often has a porous structure and is difficult to dye with smooth color transitions. The result is unpredictable and 90% depends on the qualifications of the master.

How to deal with bangs when dyeing

Stylists do not recommend touching your bangs with a paint brush unless absolutely necessary. If the technique is performed on very dark hair, and undyed bangs create a noticeable dissonance with other strands in the hairstyle, light, literally hair-breadth, highlighting is allowed.

Is it worth doing booking at home?

It is difficult to blame women for preferring home coloring rather than salon coloring when they have such a weighty argument as the considerable price of the service. Indeed, booking is not a cheap pleasure. It requires a lot of effort from the master and the client and can take several hours, or even days. To the benefits salon procedure, V in this case, we can include the acquisition of a harmonious and very stable color that can be worn on the hair for more than one month.

At-home coloring may not bring the same satisfaction with the results. To minimize the effect of suddenness of the final color and lack of skills, we will give some tips:

  • Try to put on makeup by professional means. They are more expensive, but regular supermarket hair dye is not designed to mix and create undertones.
  • Buy quality brushes and sponges.
  • Master the technique of color stretching by watching videos on the Internet. Practice on dry strands.
  • Ask a friend for help so that the back of your head does not become your weakest area.

Remember: booking may remain an unattainable dream. But who knows what other new technique you'll invent while trying to achieve it?!

Photo of bronding staining. Before and after

To maintain the effect of the play of light and tints for a long time, you need to take care of your hair. Regular hair washing, even with the use of balms and conditioners, is no longer sufficient. Moreover, the shampoo should be intended specifically for colored hair - such products have additives that glue the hair scales, which prevents the pigment from being washed out.

Application nourishing masks not forbidden. Moreover, they should be applied before washing, and not after, when the hair is “closed” for the penetration of useful substances.

Science has not yet come up with a better way to add shine to hair than a regular solution of citric or acetic acid in mineral water. For a liter of water - a few granules of acid (until you get a pleasant sour taste) or a tablespoon of vinegar. Rinse, slowly pouring the solution over wet strands, do not rinse. Dry with a towel. Let it dry a little naturally, then you can start styling or blow-drying.

Jennifer Aniston

She started using this technique on the set of the TV series “Friends”, giving hairdressers all over the world a blast: millions of clients sat in chairs asking for a haircut “like Rachel’s”. However, the secret was not so much in the haircut as in the coloring - special charm and the volume of such a hairstyle was given precisely by the sophisticated bronding.

Jennifer Lopez is a classic example of classic bronding on long hair. As soon as the singer and actress switched to the light side, adding lively strands to her dark hair, she instantly shed several years and began to look younger than in the photographs of 10-12 years ago.

The “Pretty Woman” of all times has been in each of the camps: she was a redhead, a platinum blonde, a brunette, and at her current elegant age, she has firmly settled into the image of an armored lady, and feels very comfortable in these muted beige-caramel tones. It is impossible to guess her true age, just as it is impossible to take your admiring eyes off her.

Those who call Sarah a Manhattan blonde are very mistaken. This coloring technique has a different name. And here’s another example of how persistent stereotypes are: a few blond strands in her hair are not a sign that it’s time for you to lighten your hair in order to get the same luxurious head of hair as Sarah Jessica’s.

Modern hairdressers and stylists are unlikely to ever be able to go down in history and gain fame like the French hairdresser Hugo, who invented hair bleaching.

However, almost every year more and more new technologies for coloring, curling and generally transforming hair appear and are gaining popularity.

Booking – one of the most popular currently a coloring technician. What is its essence, what does it look like and whether it is possible to do armoring at home - this will be discussed in the article.

Basic principles of booking

Bronding in its essence is This is a multi-stage coloring shades of brown palette. Let's say you have dark brown hair. Your color is the base shade.

The master selects several lighter shades of paint compared to your tone and, using bronzing, creates the effect of sunbeams on your curls.

The color of the strand acquires several shades, smoothly flowing into each other and creating effect of fullness, health and shine of hair.

Specifics of the technique for this hair type

Bronzing for moderately dark hair

Bronzing looks best on moderately dark (not black) hair. It can be light brown, ash, chestnut or another color.

For such shades, it is easier to choose several lighter tones of paint so that they then harmonize with each other and your base color, creating a natural effect.

Bronzing for black hair

For brunettes, bronding is possible only after lightening the hair and then coloring it. Otherwise, on black hair, lighter tones of dye will either not be noticeable, or such bronding will look artificial, akin to bad highlighting. The paints chosen for armoring should differ from the base color by a tone or two.

Bronzing for blonde hair

Before the procedure, blondes also need coloring in a darker shade, which will become the base for bronding. The palette of brown shades on the hair should look as natural as possible, and the transition from one color to another should be smooth and imperceptible.

How to properly do bronzing on dark hair at home

To beautifully and correctly do bronzing on dark or light hair at home, you need to at least understand the dyeing technique and have at least some experience in highlighting.

You will need:

  • bowls for diluting paint - 2 pieces;
  • hairdressing brushes – 2 pieces;
  • hair dye - 2 packs of different tones of your choice;
  • foil;
  • combs.

Blondes need to first do toning to the desired base color, and brunettes need to lighten and then tone if you are not satisfied with the color after lightening as the base.

Bronding is done on clean hair, but before dyeing, carefully read the instructions for your dyes.

The process itself:

  • prepare hair dyes according to the instructions - of course, each in a separate bowl - and use a separate brush for application;
  • comb your hair and divide it into about six parts;
  • Separate a strand or two from each part;
  • First apply the first, darker paint to the strand, retreating approximately three to five centimeters from the roots and leaving a few centimeters (the tip of the strand) for applying the second paint;
  • apply a second paint to the tip;
  • wrap the dyed strands in foil;
  • paint the remaining hair with spontaneous and chaotic strokes in different places - this will create a natural and natural effect;
  • leave the dye on for the required time, rinse it off, wash your hair with shampoo and then use hair conditioner.

All equipment for preparing and applying paint should be glass or plastic, as metal can react with paint.

At the last stage, paint can be applied to the remaining strands without foil with a round massage comb.

Precautionary measures

  • Any of the paints can cause allergies - so do a sensitivity test first;
  • Bronding will look bad on split ends and unhealthy hair - before the procedure it is better to cut off the dead ends of the hair, do a course of masks and take vitamins;
  • Bronzing looks best on straight or slightly wavy dark hair - on curls with tight curls, the difference in shades is almost invisible.
