Knitting toys always arouses interest among needlewomen. Recently, bears in different variations have gained universal love. And this is not surprising! And how beautiful a child looks wearing a hat with a bear’s face! Teddies are knitted not only as toys, but also for various things, for example, hats. In fact, the crochet bear pattern is very simple to implement. Even novice craftswomen can easily knit such a product. Let's look at the pattern for crocheting a bear with step by step description work process.

Crochet bear for beginners

The size of the product is small, only 9 cm.

We will need:

  1. Yarn - Nako mohair delicacy, where mohair - 40%, acrylic - 60% (100g/500m);
  2. Hook No. 1.25;

Abbreviations in the text:

Instructions for description

For example:

1p - 6U = 6 s. b. - in the first row we knit 6 s. b. As a result, 6 s should be formed in the completed row. b. (or 6p from above along the chain).

2U., M., 3U., M., i. etc. - we do it according to the following principle: two s. b., increase (2 sb. in the next stitch) 3 sb., increase, etc. All elements are knitted in a spiral. The initial knitted row is made into an amigurumi ring.

Head

Cut the thread, leaving a section for tightening.

Spout

This element has 2 parts - a top and a mouth.

Top:

  • 1p - 6u into the amigurumi ring = 6 s. b.;
  • 2p - 6 m = 12 s. b.;
  • 3p - 2 M, 8u, 2 M = 16 s. b.;
  • 4p - 4 M, 8 s. s, 4 M = 24 s. b.;
  • 5p - 4 H, 8 s. s, 4 H = 16 s. b.;

We complete the final row with. With. We do not tear off the thread. We lay the finished workpiece with a fold inward.

The next s. With. perform at the top of the second fold. Unfold and knit c. With. in the penultimate p.r. (at the first vertex of the fold), fixing the relief of the face, and stuff it.

  • Chain of 4 c. P.
  • 1p - 1 U in 2 p from the hook, 1 In in the next stitch, 5 In in the final stitch of the braid. We make a turn and work on the reverse part of the chain - 1 B in the next st., 1 U in the next st. = 9 sts.
  • 2p - 9 U in a circle, p. With. We cut off the thread.

We embroider the mouth with red threads, sew the parts together and sew them to the head.

Ears

Chain of 2 c. P.

We cut off the thread.

Sew the ears to the head. Use a needle to pick up the ears from inside the chain. Having made the initial circle with a needle, we make two more rows for planting the ears from the back. Use a needle to pick up a row of sat. the first from the head.

Mark the points for the eyes with pins.

We fold the thread in two and tie a knot. We direct the needle into the hole at the bottom of the head, exiting at the tightening point. Do not pull the thread all the way, leaving a tail with a knot. We direct the needle in the return direction, retreating through the post, and direct it through the stitch.

We tighten it. Immediately with the tightening of the eye, the neck will tighten around the head. We repeat these manipulations 2 times. It is advisable to repeat the procedure for strength. Sew on bead eyes. Before this, you can comb the bear with Velcro. We embroider the eyebrows with black thread.

The nose can be embroidered or made of leather.

To do this, take a leather flap of the appropriate size, process it over a flame until the edges bend, and glue it.

Corpuscle

Before knitting, we stuff the final 2 rows.

  • 22r - 6 times (H, U) = 12 sb.;
  • 23r - 6 H = 6 sb., p. With.

Cut the thread, leaving a tail to tighten the hole. We insert the tail into the needle and, using a seam over the edge, hook all the stitches of the chain to the front wall and tighten the hole. The back turns out to be the zone where at 12p there are 4 decreases. On one part of the body it is more sloping - this is the tummy, and on the other with a step - this is the back.

Hands

Pigtail from the 5th century. P.

  • 1p - 1 U in 2p from the hook, 1 U in the next 2p, 3 U in 4, final stitch of the braid. Turn, 1 U, into the next 2 stitches, M into the final stitch = 10 sb.;
  • 2p - M, 2 U, 3 M, 2 U, 2 M = 16 sb.;
  • 3p - 11 U, M, 4 U = 17 sb.;
  • 4−5r - 17 U = 17 sb.;
  • 6p - H, 4 U, 2 H, 2 U, H, 1 U, H = 12 sb.;
  • 7−8r - 12 U = 12 sb.;
  • 9p - 2 U, 2 V, 2 U, 6 U = 12p;
  • 10−11p - 1 U, 4 V, 1 U, 6 U = 12 p.;
  • 12p - M, 4 V, 1 U, M, 5 U = 14p;
  • 13r - 3 times (3 U, M) 2 U = 17 sb.;
  • 14r - 17u = 17 sb.;
  • 15r - 2 times (M, 7 U) M = 20 sb.;
  • 16r - 5 times (H, 2 U) = 15 sb.;

We stuff it.

17r - 5 times (H, U) = 10 sb.; 18r - 5H, p. With.;

Cut off, leaving a section for tightening.

Legs

Pigtail from the 6th century. P.

We stuff it.

19r - 6 times (H, U) = 6 sb., p. With.

We cut the thread, leaving a piece.

We tighten all the holes.

We thread a piece of thread into the needle and tighten it with a seam over the edge of the far (outer) half of the chain. We comb all the elements with Velcro. Before fastening the parts, we pin them with pins.

First we attach the head. We direct the needle to the bottom of the body, leaving the place where the knitting began at the point where the head was secured to the body with a pin. Leaving a piece of thread with a knot, we pick up the head in the neck area, come out with the needle in a return motion, and tighten it. We pull the thread with the knot inward and straighten the body.

If your head is unsteady, then repeat these manipulations again. We direct the needle into the body and exit in the area between the columns, again we direct and exit at another point. The thread is fixed in the stuffing. You can come to the point where you just came out with a needle, thread it into a point of thread. The loop will camouflage itself in the body. Similarly, we fix all the pieces of thread when combining the parts.

We sew the arms using the hinge method, directing the needle to the points where the arms are attached with pins. We direct it into the body, leaving a piece of thread not tied, pierce it through, pick up the hand, return through the body in the return direction, grab the other hand. Next we tie the pieces of thread together. You can repeat the fixation after tying the knot, again threading the piece into the needle. Then we thread 2 pieces into a needle and fix the head in the same way. We fix the legs in the same way as the arms. We direct the needle where the legs are held by the pins. The teddy bear is ready!

Crochet teddy bear hat

Size 10-42 cm.

Double hat:

  • The upper one is made of 2 threads (gray).
  • Bottom - 1 thread (blue).

Note! If the product is knitted double, then we knit the bottom of the top hat 1 cm more than the bottom one.

We knit another 16p without increasing. We do the next 4p, alternating 1 persons. relief st. and 1 purl. relief st. At the same time, before the start of the river. with a relief column we perform 3 ch.

I don’t know about you, but for me bears occupy a special place among others toys. Especially if it's bear made with your own hands. How to make it? There are a lot of ways! You can, for example, sew. There are several on our website master classes on sewing bears.

Can i make a wool toy. For some, this method may seem more difficult than the first. But this is only at first glance. Believe me felting wool– extraordinarily fascinating and not at all difficult task. The main thing is to try! If you have such a desire, then I advise you to look at our master classes on felting toys.

And finally, teddy bear Can to tie. I think this is the most popular way. Toys Can to knit knitting needles or crochet. But for some reason they most often crochet. So, in front of you master class on crocheting bears. I will try to describe everything in great detail so that even the most for beginners.

Knit a bear Let's do this: first we will connect the individual parts, and then we will start assembling them. The parts are knitted in a spiral, that is, we will not make air loops for lifting. Since with this type of knitting it is very difficult to keep track of where a new row begins, and counting stitches is not very reliable (distracted for a second and already lost), I advise you to use a knitting marker. For me, the role of such a marker is usually played by an ordinary small pin, which I place at the beginning of the row.

Materials and tools for knitting.

We will need the following materials:

  • Yarn for knitting bears. My bear is knitted from Grass Stretch yarn (pictured). It is difficult to knit with such yarn, so if you do not have enough experience, it is better to take a less “fluffy” yarn to start with.
  • Hook. Its number must correspond to the yarn. Usually the yarn label indicates the number of the hook and knitting needles. By the way, about yarn consumption. This teddy bear took me the entire skein of yarn, as they say, “butt-to-end”. If you are not knitting too tightly, then for reliability, I would advise purchasing two skeins. Well, just in case. And if the yarn remains, you can knit another bear.
  • Sewing needle soft toys . The most important criterion when choosing a needle is the width of the “eye”. It is necessary that you can thread the yarn from which you knit a bear into it.
  • To decorate the nose, you can use two methods: the first is to embroider it, then you will need black floss threads and a needle, and the second way is to felt the nose from wool (you will need black wool for felting and a thin needle No. 40). The second method is closer to me (I really like to lie around wool toys!). You choose the one that is closer to you. Embroidered noses also look very cute.
  • Eyes. I used purchased eyes for toys.
  • Filler (sintepon, synthetic fluff, cotton wool).
  • Scissors.
  • Knitting marker (I used a small pin).
  • Yarn for knitting a blouse. It is better to choose brightly colored yarn.
  • Four knitting needles for knitting a blouse. I used a set of knitting needles for knitting socks. Very convenient, they are all exactly the same size.

I have already done a master class on crocheting bears. In some places I will rely on it so as not to repeat myself:

Crochet bear with a felted face. Master class and knitting pattern.

Legend:

Legend:
V.p.- air loop.
Art. b\n- single crochet.

Knitting a bear's head (1 piece).

Dial 2 ch. If you want the bear's face to be a lighter shade, then start knitting with light yarn. I knitted everything with the same color yarn.

1st row:

2nd row:

3rd row:

4-5 rows: Art. b\n in each loop (18 loops).

If you started knitting with light yarn, now change the color of the yarn to the main one (brown).

6th row: 4 tbsp. b\n, 10 increases, 4 tbsp. b\n (28 loops).

7th row: 6 tbsp. b\n, 3 increases, 10 tbsp. b\n, 3 increases, 6 tbsp. b\n. (34 loops).

Rows 8-11: Art. b\n in each loop (34 loops).

Row 12:– repeat 5 times, 4 tbsp. b\n (29 loops).

Row 13:– repeat 5 times, 3 tbsp. b\n (24 loops).

Row 14:– repeat 8 times (16 loops).

We fill our heads with padding polyester.

Decrease until the hole is completely closed. We cut the working thread and carefully hide the “tail” using a hook.

Knitting the body (1 piece).

We start knitting with yarn of the main color. We dial 2 v.p.

1st row: 6 tbsp. b/n in the second loop from the hook (6 loops).

2nd row: increase in each loop (12 loops).

3rd row:[increase, art. b\n] – repeat 6 times (18 loops).

4th row:[increase, 2 tbsp. b\n] – repeat 6 times (24 loops).

5 row:[increase, 3 tbsp. b\n] – 6 times (30 loops).

6th row:[increase, 4 tbsp. b\n] – 6 times (36 loops).

Rows 7-9: Art. b\n in each loop (36 loops).

10th row: 6 decreases, [st. b\n, decrease] – 8 times (22 loops).

Rows 11-12: Art. b\n in each loop (22 loops).

Row 13:– 7 times, 1 tbsp. b\n (15 loops).

Rows 14-15: Art. b\n in each loop (15 loops).

This completes the knitting of the body. We do not close the hole, we leave a long “tail” of yarn in order to later sew the head to the body.

I admit that this is my first time knitting from Travka. But before that I knitted toys from mohair many times. And I noticed that the back side turns out to be fluffier than the front side. It's the same story with Travka. And then I thought, why not turn the part inside out? To compare the back and front sides, look at the photo. I liked the wrong side better. So I turned the part inside out and only after that I filled it with filler.

And in the future I knitted all the details in such a way that the front side remained inside the knitting, and the back (fluffier) side remained outside.

Knitting ears for a bear (2 parts).

We knit the ears in the same way as in master class via the link below:

Decoration of the toy's face.

Now the fun begins. We will design the face. It is at this stage that the image of the future toy, its individuality, is created.

Take a needle for sewing soft toys, thread it with the thread from which you knitted the bear. The length of the thread is approximately 30 cm. Now pull the muzzle as shown in the photo, thereby forming indentations for the eyes.

I had eyes without a loop to sew them on. So I first formed the indentations for the eyes and then glued them on. If you have eyes with loops, then you simply sew them on at the tightening stage.

So, we glue the eyes to our teddy bear.

All that remains is to make the nose. As I wrote above, it can either be felted with black wool or embroidered with thread. Choose what is more convenient and closer to you.

Sew the head, arms and legs to the body.

This is how the baby turned out:

We shape the eyebrows with a few stitches:

The bear is ready. Now we will knit a blouse for him.

Knitting a sweater for a bear.

We will knit a blouse for the bear with knitting needles.

As a basis, I took a sweater that Svetlana (unfortunately, I don’t know her last name) knitted for her Happy Micah.

Row 12: knit with purl stitches.

We knit 10 facial loops. This will be a shelf. Now let's start knitting the sleeves. To do this, take an additional knitting needle. We knit the front loops of the raglan line in the sleeve (17 loops).

We knit 6 rows of sleeves in stockinette stitch and bind off the loops. We insert a hook into the last remaining loop and “sew” the sleeve with it.

Using the first knitting needle (the one with which 10 front stitches were first knitted), we knit facial loops back. We get to the second sleeve. We knit it similarly to the first one.

When the sleeve is ready, we knit the remaining 10 loops again with the first knitting needle.

We knit the front and back stitch to the required length. We close the loops.

Now let's start knitting the hood. We hook the loops on the neck onto the knitting needle.

We knit a fabric of the required length using stockinette stitch. From time to time we try on the future hood on the teddy bear.

When the required length is reached, close the loops. We crochet single crochets until the middle of the hood, then we knit the halves.

We do not cut the thread, we tie the edges of the blouse with single crochets. After this, we cut the thread and carefully hide the “tail”.

Clothes for the bear are ready!

To give the teddy bear some charm old toy, I used black thread to embroider the seam on the tummy. I slightly darkened the edges of the nose and the contour of the eyes using brown eye shadow.

Such a miracle happened :)

Happy knitting! WITH Best wishes in creativity, author of the toy Anna Lavrentieva.
