Many girls and very little girls dream of having such a thing as a fluffy tulle skirt in their wardrobe. “How to sew such beauty?” - this is the most common question, because it is not found in stores so often, and it can be too expensive. However, at the moment there are many known simple ways, with the help of which you can quickly and effortlessly make this lovely little thing for yourself.

Lush - how to sew?

Everyone knows that sewing something is much cheaper than buying it. In addition, hand-made clothes have a unique appeal. It is also worth paying attention to the fact that only items that are sewn to individual measurements will fit perfectly.

One of the simplest and most effective wardrobe items that you can make yourself is a full tulle skirt. How to sew? Nothing could be easier! Before you start making it, you need to decide on the style. Mentally imagine the color, length of the skirt, as well as the accessories that will decorate it. An important point is how lush you want to make it. This will determine not only the amount of material you use, but also the way you design the pattern.

What you need for work

A full tulle skirt requires a fairly small amount of materials to make. How to sew it, what materials are needed - all these questions you have to study. To get started, head to a sewing store to purchase the following items:

  • tulle of the color and texture you like;
  • threads to match the fabric;
  • an elastic band that will serve as the basis for your design (can be wide or thin;
  • bobby pins, with which you can model the style of the product before fastening the fabric;
  • all kinds of decor: ribbons, buttons, rhinestones - everything is at your discretion.

How much tulle do you need for a full skirt?

Before you start sewing a skirt, it is very important to correctly determine the amount of material. If you buy too little of it, then there simply may not be enough to realize your idea. Otherwise, there will be too much unused waste, which can be considered a waste of money.

Answering the question about how much tulle is needed for full skirt, you need to decide how lush you want your product to be. The number of layers and, accordingly, the length of the cut will depend on this. In addition, how rigid the material is also plays an important role. The coarser the tulle, the more magnificent the skirt will be. This fabric is more suitable for festive costumes, because it is not very pleasant to the body.

You also need to decide on a pattern. If you sew a circle skirt, then you need to multiply the diameter of the circle by the number of layers. If you start sewing traditionally, using an elastic band, then you need to multiply the circumference of your hips with a small margin for folds.

How to cut a skirt

The pattern of a fluffy tulle skirt can be of several types. Traditionally, the so-called sun is used for these products. IN in this case you need to construct a circle whose diameter will be equal to the sum of the length and half the waist circumference. After the workpiece is completed, fold it, as well as a sheet of fabric, in four and cut out the parts. By the way, in order not to repeat this action many times, you can cut out several layers of the future skirt at a time. If you consider yourself a sewing expert, you can experiment and make

Rectangle skirt

The second option is to cut rectangles from fabric. In the future, an elastic band will be pulled through them. The height of the rectangle is equal to the expected length of the product, but the width depends not only on the circumference of your waist, but also on the number of folds that will add fullness to the skirt. This way, a fluffy tulle skirt with your own hands will be cut out much faster, and the process of sewing it is much simpler.

The working process

If you decide to sew a product such as a fluffy tulle skirt with your own hands, then you need to adhere to the following algorithm:

  • First, purchase and prepare everything necessary materials and tools;
  • take the necessary measurements of your figure and write them down in legible handwriting;
  • start building a pattern on a large sheet of paper;
  • transfer the pattern to the fabric and cut out the blanks;
  • then, using bobby pins, form folds (if necessary), and also make an opening for an elastic band or attach the fabric to a wide decorative belt;
  • baste the fabric;
  • machine stitch along the basting;
  • stretch and secure the elastic band;
  • decorate the skirt with decorative elements, if necessary.

One of the undeniable advantages is that their edges do not need to be processed. The fabric is quite rigid and will not fray from below. The main thing is to cut it carefully and evenly with sharp scissors.

Another point that is worth considering when sewing a skirt is the transparency of the tulle material. If the fabric is visible even through several layers, then take care to sew a lining under the bottom layer. For this purpose, a thin opaque material is suitable, which will be pleasant to the body and also matches the color of tulle.

An easy way to sew a skirt

Despite the simplicity of execution, not everyone can sew such a product as a fluffy tulle skirt. The master class posted in the article will help you create a cute product without much effort, without using threads or needles, or a sewing machine. This method is perfect for making children's holiday costumes. Also, this method should be of interest to those who absolutely do not know how to sew.

A do-it-yourself tulle skirt is made in several stages:

  • first, you will need to measure the circumference of your waist and prepare an elastic band of the appropriate diameter in advance;
  • Next, decide how long you would like the skirt to be;
  • take the fabric and cut it into strips approximately 15-20 centimeters wide;
  • the length of each strip should be twice the expected length of the skirt itself;
  • now return to the previously prepared elastic band and begin tying the scraps of fabric you cut out to it so that their ends are the same;
  • the number and thickness of the patches depend on how full you want the skirt to be.

The advantage of this method is not only its simplicity, but also the fact that you have the opportunity to use fabric in different colors. This way your skirt can sparkle with all the colors of the rainbow.

Where to wear

A tulle skirt is very gentle, feminine and beautiful. But for some reason this thing may seem too extravagant to many. Nevertheless, she will perfectly complement the image of both the most notorious fashionista and the quiet modest one. If the skirt is short and fluffy, like a ballerina's, then it will become an excellent wardrobe item for a party. A long, lined piece can perfectly complement your everyday ensemble.

Tulle for a girl will be an excellent basis for festive costume. With such an accessory at the matinee, the baby will look like a real princess or fairy. The main thing is that sewing such a thing is quite simple and not expensive, and therefore in the arsenal of a young fashionista there may be several tulle skirts of different colors and styles.

An airy and elegant skirt will take its rightful place in the wardrobe of any fashionista. A beautiful outfit is worn to a party, on a visit or for a walk around the city. You can sew a tulle skirt with your own hands. It goes well with different things, which is why it is popular.

A lush product made of several layers will complement a bright top or T-shirt. It is suitable for young girls and little girls. There are many options for creating a skirt. Each model has its own characteristics.

Choice of style

Most simple option is a rectangular skirt. To sew it, you need to decide on the number of layers and the density of the assembly. Cut off the required number of rectangles, the height of which is equal to the length of the product. The sides of the rectangles are connected vertically. Each part is assembled separately. The model is distinguished by great pomp in the hips.

ATTENTION! At the stage of assembling the upper section, it is necessary to take into account that the model will be on an elastic band. The top of the skirt is made to give a little more volume to the hips.

It is not difficult to sew a circle skirt from several layers. If the assembly is not done, then a regular model will be obtained. The layers will simply merge. It is important to do the calculations correctly. The edges of the skirt of different layers in this model can cling to each other. To get rid of this drawback, the edge of the product is treated with bias tape.

The shoppen skirt is especially popular. She reminds me of ballerinas. If you sew it from wedges and assemble it, then it will have beautiful shape. The parts are cut out in one direction, so the edges of the canvases are finished product do not cling when moving.

Instructions

Sewing an outfit will require a certain amount of time. It is necessary to strictly follow the instructions to get the desired result. An original product will become your favorite wardrobe item if you make it yourself.

What you will need

First of all, choose the material. Tulle is available in different densities; when purchasing, you also pay attention to the width of the fabric. The calculation depends on the chosen style. For a little girl, a version without lining is sewn if the number of layers allows this.

It's better to use a petticoat. To do this, buy satin, viscose or other lining fabric in the store. Measure your waist circumference and multiply the measurement by 1.5. If the resulting number is less than the width of the material indicated in the store, then it is enough to buy a cut corresponding to the desired length of the skirt.

If the number is greater than the width of the material, then the assembly is made smaller. You can purchase two lengths of the product. Then the density of the assembly does not need to be reduced. For sewing, you will need a spool of thread to match the main fabric, an elastic band the length of which is equal to the waist circumference. If you plan to decorate the model, then purchase decorative fittings.

Features of working with tulle

This material does not fray, which makes the sewing process easier. The skirt will need a lining. If you make many layers, you can do without it.

IMPORTANT! To connect tulle parts to sewing machine choose a zig-zag stitch. This seam is almost invisible on the canvas.

The bottom of the product is usually not processed; it does not crumble. Each piece of the skirt must be gathered separately to achieve the necessary pomp.

Progress

First of all, take measurements: waist size, hip size, length of the product. For the circle skirt, you need to perform calculations. To determine the radius of the circle at the waist, you must use the formula: C = 2 * π *R, where C is the circumference; number π =3.14; R – radius of the circle. R = C/ 2 * π. This model does not have a zipper, so the formula uses hip volume.

Let's look at an example. The volume of the hips is 90 cm, and the length of the skirt is 70 cm, then R = 90/ 2 * 3.14 = 14 cm. The diameter is accordingly 28 cm. Then you need to multiply this value by the gathering factor (minimum 1.5 cm). The result is 42 cm.

You can cut directly on the fabric; novice craftswomen are recommended to make a pattern on paper. If you buy fabric with a width of 1.5 m, then for two layers you will need 7.4 m of tulle ((42 + 70 * 2) * 4 = 732 cm). For the lining you need to purchase 3.5 m of satin. The petticoat is 5 cm shorter than the main part.

ATTENTION! When cutting out layers, it is necessary to make the top cut of the front 2 cm smaller than the front part of the product. This is necessary to level the bottom of the product.

If the model is more curvy, or more layers are planned, then more material will be needed. Each layer needs to be gathered and then carefully sewn to the elastic.

Tulle skirt for a girl, important points.

For a baby, the skirt differs only in size. You can make a model for crumbs from strips 10 cm wide. The length of such parts is 2 times the length of the product. You will need about 50 strips. You also need a wide elastic band, the edges of which are ground down on a machine. Fold the ribbons in half and tie them to an elastic band. It is necessary to repeat the operation until there is no free space left.

IMPORTANT! Pay attention to the quality and density of the elastic; this determines how the skirt will sit at the waist.

You can use colored pieces of fabric to create an outfit for your baby. Multi-layered skirts with canvas look amazing on children different lengths. To do this, each subsequent layer is made 10 cm shorter than the previous one.

The product is decorated with beads, ribbons, and flowers. A bow is attached to the belt to match the outfit, or a contrasting color is preferred. A white tulle skirt with a black belt and bow looks beautiful. Pink and blue outfits look tender on little girls.

Master class: full tulle skirt without sewing

Tools and materials

  • Tulle is a thin fabric in the form of a mesh - matte or translucent, shiny or with an embroidered (printed) pattern. In America, Tutu is made from nylon. It is very soft, safe even for small children. It retains its shape well and, importantly, is produced in rolls 20 cm wide, so there is no need to cut it into strips. If there is no ideal fabric, buy regular tulle of medium density (soft tulle does not create fluffiness, and hard tulle is very scratchy).
  • The elastic band should be wide (up to 3 cm) and tight. The length is determined by the waist size, leave a small margin for a knot or connecting seam.
  • Satin ribbon for a bow or other decorations (beads, flowers).
  • Ruler and scissors.

Step-by-step instruction

Calculation of the required material

A tulle skirt comes in different volumes and lengths. Using these instructions, you can make both a short tutu and a medium-length or even a long, floor-length skirt.

For kids, 15 - 20 cm and 40 - 60 rectangles are enough. Since each piece is double, the maximum fabric consumption is for 60 fragments of 20 cm each - if the tulle is 160 cm wide, then 10 strips are placed in a row, which means that from a meter of fabric you will get 20, and for a tutu skirt you will need 3 m.

For adults, you should first decide on the length. To tie a knot, you need to add 5 - 6 cm. Depending on the size of the waist and the fullness of the skirt, an adult model will need 60 - 80 strips, although it can be as many as 120. Taking into account the width of the fabric, we calculate the amount of material according to the same scheme as in first option.

What types of tulle skirts are there?

  • a tutu skirt (like a ballerina’s) can have an opaque top made of satin or crepe de Chine;
  • tutu – made of hard tulle, located almost parallel to the floor (for fitness or);
  • American - made of nylon matte chiffon, mini or midi length, without a petticoat;
  • pettiskirts are the most popular model for prom, cocktail and ball gowns.

A tulle skirt for a bachelorette party can be sewn with a belt or elastic, with a yoke on the hips or a drawstring at the waist. To choose the right material, you need to choose a skirt model.

For a tutu, you can take tulle like the kind from which a veil is sewn, only softer: the hard one is sticky, scratches and looks rough.

For a flowing skirt without much pomp, lining nylon is suitable, ideally nylon chiffon: the folds drape perfectly, do not stick out and hold volume. There are a wide variety of fabric types and colors. Therefore, they are able to realize the most fantastic ideas.

For fashionistas with sewing skills, an original do-it-yourself tulle skirt in the pettiskirts style. This chiffon and tulle skirt creates the image of a slightly naive and frivolous girl with an elegant, graceful figure. The skirt will be double-sided: transparent tulle and matte chiffon can be alternated. Intrigued? Then let's get down to business!

One of the latest trends in children's fashion is a fluffy tulle skirt (or as it is also called a tutu skirt). And really, what girl wouldn’t want to feel like a real princess in such a tutu skirt?

This article presents four master classes on sewing and making a tulle skirt with your own hands, as well as additional ideas for using tulle in children's clothing.

What is tulle?

Tulle is a synthetic fabric made of nylon mesh. The rigidity of the tulle depends on the size and density of the mesh cells - hard, medium-hard and soft tulle are distinguished separately. Today, there is a wide variety of tulle textures: shiny and matte, colored and plain, additional fabric decor - glitter, embroidery, rhinestones, flocked coating.

Tulle is sold and how plain fabric per piece 1.5-3 m wide, and in rolls.

Clothes made from this fabric hold their shape well, do not wrinkle and are difficult to get dirty.

For sewing children's skirts, it is preferable to use soft tulle made in Europe or America.

So, how to sew a tulle skirt?

Option one: tulle skirt master class

What you will need:

Please note that the exact amount of fabric will depend on your baby's size and proportions. Use your daughter's finished skirt as a guide for taking the necessary measurements. You need to measure your waist circumference and product length.

  • meter of tulle;
  • 0.5 meters of shiny tulle, matching the usual shade;
  • 1.5 meters satin ribbon.

Let's start making the skirt:

Cut 4 pieces of tulle to your measurements. Cut a piece of shiny tulle.

Install on your sewing machine longest stitch length, including a 1cm seam. Sew each piece of fabric individually along the top edge, including the sequined tulle.

Take one thread from the edge of the resulting stitch (in the photo below I'm only holding the top thread) and gently pull it to gather the fabric. Continue pulling the threads, straightening out any wrinkles that form. Do everything extremely carefully!

Pull until the circumference of the skirt is equal to the circumference of your waist. Tie knots on both sides of the stitch and trim off any excess threads. Repeat this with each piece of tulle.

To secure the resulting folds, use a sewing machine average length stitch and sew each piece of tulle along the existing stitch line.

Take all 5 pieces of tulle and place the outside together. The easiest way to do it is to find the middle of each piece and pin them together.

Sew all 5 pieces of tulle along the top line using a sewing machine. Since tulle is a fairly light fabric, sewing them will not be difficult.

Fold the waistband in half and iron on low.

Place the tape on the skirt, it should cover all the machine seams. Again, it’s better to start from the center of the skirt, gradually moving towards the edges. Sew the ribbon to the skirt along the bottom edge. I did this twice to ensure the belt was secure.

So, your skirt is ready. Due to the free ends of the ribbon, it can be easily tied around the child's waist.

Option two: tulle tutu skirt

This tutorial is designed to create the most basic and simple ballet tutu. Its dimensions are 28 cm in length and approximately 25-28 cm in width.

To create such a skirt you will need scissors, a large book, a wide checkered elastic band about 4 cm wide and two spools of tulle.

Wrap the rubber band around the book. This is necessary to make it easier to work with it in a tense position. Cut strips of tulle 56 cm long. I recommend that you start by cutting 10 strips and using them, and then cutting more. It will be much more convenient this way. Fold the strip of fabric in half and thread it into the second row from the bottom. If you thread strips into the very bottom row, the product will not be strong and may tear. Make a knot and pull it tighter, making sure it is pulled straight and tight.

Continue tying knots in the second row below. When you finish the entire row, you will have the first layer of the pack. But we decided to make the skirt two layers for more volume and fullness.

For the second layer you will need a regular pen to make the work easier. It’s very easy to get confused and miss the right hole, so the guide here will be the handle that you move as you tie knots in the row. Simply move to the third row and continue tying tulle knots as you did before with the second row. Don't forget to straighten the tulle strips and pull them down to create a beautiful and full skirt.

Option three: DIY tutu skirt

You will need tulle for the skirt and a wide elastic band (elastic band), approximately 1.5 cm wide.

Skirt making technique:

Measure the child's waist and cut this length from the elastic, subtracting 2.5 - 5 cm from the resulting length. This ribbon will serve as the skirt's waistband.

Connect the ends of the elastic, overlapping one end with the other by about 0.5-0.8 cm. Sew the ends of the elastic.

Cut a piece of fabric. What should be the length of the tulle? Everything is very simple: measure the distance from the belt to the desired length, multiply the resulting number by 2 and add another 2.5 cm. If your tulle comes in one piece, you need to cut it into strips approximately 7.5 cm wide. I use tulle in a roll, suitable in width.

So, everything is ready. Let's start making the skirt!

Hang a belt loop over the back of a chair or something similar. Fold the strip of fabric in half (that's why you had to multiply the length by 2). Tie a knot from a strip of tulle around the waistband (that's why you needed to add 2.5cm to the length of the fabric).

Repeat the steps, making a similar knot next to the first knot on the belt. Having made 4-5 knots, squeeze them tightly and move them towards each other. (Practice shows that it is better to move the knots in exactly this quantity).

Our skirt is ready. Here are approximate calculations according to my standards:

  • Belt length: 48.5 cm
  • Skirt length: 38 cm (length of tulle strips - 78 cm)
  • Number of knots tied on the belt: 90

Option four: long tulle skirt for girls

You will need tulle, a light and airy fabric for the lining, and a firm elastic band that will sit at the waist and serve as the skirt's waistband.

In order to find out the size of the fabric for the lining, measure the length of the future skirt from the waist to the floor. For my daughter, the length of the skirt should be 60 cm. To find out the length of the tulle, multiply the resulting number by 3 (for my product I needed approximately 60 cm of fabric for the lining and 180 cm of tulle).

Cut the tulle into 3 parts: each part should be the appropriate width that you need. In the same way, cut a piece of fabric for the lining.

Fold each piece of fabric in half, aligning and shaping the edges. Sew the edges of each piece together. Press the seam on the tulle to one side and overcast using thread of the corresponding color. This way you will receive 4 fabric blanks for your future skirt. (If the edge of the fabric on your lining is fraying and unraveling, overcast that edge as well. Or you can trim about an inch from the bottom of the fabric, which will leave the lining slightly shorter than the main length).

Place 4 pieces of fabric together, one inside the other, and straighten them from the right side out. You should also make sure that all seams match each other. In the photo below you can see 3 pieces of tulle nested inside each other, and their seams form a single straight line. Place the lining base inside these layers of fabric.

Check the seams and bottom edges to ensure they line up. The seams will be located on the back and, as you can see in the photo, they extend slightly beyond the borders of the fabric, since this delicate fabric very difficult to flash. If you want, you can cut the front top part of the fabric a little (since usually the fabric in the front is located a little lower in the waist area than on the back side).

Next, you need to overcast the top edge of the skirt around the perimeter where the belt will be located. The seam should be made with light and large stitches. Divide the top of the skirt into quarters (seam inside) and mark with pins.

Measure the girl's waist. Cut the elastic for the belt 4-5 cm shorter than your waist size. Bring the edges together and sew them together using a zigzag stitch as shown in the photo below.

Straighten the skirt by pulling the bottom thread. Make the folds on the skirt as neat and even as possible. When you place the elastic on the skirt, tuck any bumps and seams into the waistband.

Then sew the belt to the skirt, starting with a zigzag stitch, gradually stretching the belt. The belt will go all the way around the skirt, as you can see in the photo below.

And the last step is to inspect the skirt and remove all excess threads and stitches. That's all, our skirt is ready. Happy sewing!

Before purchasing material and starting work, you will need to use an old girl's skirt to take the necessary measurements - you will need the length of the product and waist circumference.

About taken measurements cut out 4 pieces of regular tulle, as well as another one - shiny. On the sewing machine, set the longest stitch length, taking into account a 1 cm seam. Each piece should be sewn separately along the top edge.

Gently pull the stitching thread from the edge to gather the fabric. Continue pulling the threads, carefully straightening the resulting folds. Pull the threads until the circumference of the skirt is equal to the circumference of the waist. Tighten the knots on both sides of the stitching and trim off the excess threads. Do similar manipulations with all tulle cuts. The resulting folds should definitely be secured - to do this, set the average stitch length on the sewing machine and sew each cut along the existing stitch line.

Take 5 pieces of shiny tulle and place them outside together (you should find the middle of each piece and pin them together). Sew the entire tulle using a sewing machine along the top line.

Fold one and a half meters of satin ribbon (you will need it for the belt) in half and iron it (place it on the unit low temperature). Place the ribbon on the skirt so that it covers all the seams, then sew it along the bottom edge. Now it’s ready, it will be easily tied at the waist due to the free ends of the ribbon-belt.

Use our tips for sewing a beautiful tutu skirt, the width of which will be 25-28 cm and the length 28 cm.

Take a wide checkered rubber band (at least 4cm wide) and wrap it around the book to keep it taut, this will make your work much easier. Cut 10 tulle strips 56 cm long (if this number is not enough, you can always cut more). Fold the fabric strip in half and thread it into the second row from the bottom. Please note that if you work from the very bottom row, the result will be a flimsy product. Tighten the knot tightly - it should tighten evenly and tightly. Tie the remaining 9 ribbons in the second bottom row, after which you can state that you have made the first layer of the pack. Well, in order for the product to acquire greater pomp and volume, you can always make a second layer. To make the work easier, prepare a handle - you should move it as you tie knots in the row.

So, move to the third row and tie knots in the same way as you did before. Don’t forget to straighten the stripes and pull them down so that the result of your efforts is beautiful and lush. This is how you can easily and quickly make a beautiful one.

How to sew a tulle skirt with elastic

Now that you've read about how to sew a tutu skirt from tulle, then be sure to sew the tutu too. The instructions for making a tutu skirt will also be very simple - be sure to please your daughter with a new thing.

First of all, measure the girl’s waist and cut the resulting measurement from a wide elastic band with a width of 1.5 cm. Also, you should definitely subtract about 5 cm from the resulting value, maybe a little less.

Place one end of the elastic over the other with an overlap (the overlap should be 0.7-0.8 cm). Sew the ends together.

How to measure the length of the fabric? You need to set aside the desired length from the belt, double the resulting number, and then add 2.5 cm to it. If you purchased a whole piece, you should cut it into pieces 7.5 cm wide.

The ribbon should be secured to the back of the chair, the tulle strip should be folded in half and tied with a knot with an elastic band. Make 3-4 more knots side by side, and then squeeze them tightly and move them towards each other. It should be noted that it is convenient to work and move with exactly this quantity. In total you will need to tie about 90 knots.

How to sew a tulle skirt for a girl

Would be a great outfit long skirt with lining. In order to find out the amount of airy and light fabric for the lining, you should measure the length of the future new thing from the waist to the floor. Multiply the resulting number by three - this will allow you to calculate the amount of tulle. Cut the calculated quantity into 3 parts, and each of them should fit the required width. Cut the lining material in the same way.

Fold each piece in half, align the edges and shape. Sew the edges of each cut together. Press the seam to one side and overcast, taking the threads desired color. As a result, you will have four blanks. Note that you should look at the fabric edge of the lining - if it is unraveling, then this edge should also be serged. However, it will be possible to cut off a couple of centimeters, and then the lining will not reach the main length.

Place four pieces together (one inside the other) and straighten them outward on the right side. Be sure to make sure all seams match. Place the lining inside the fabric layers.

Check that the seams and bottom edges match. If you wish, you can cut off the front upper part of the material slightly. Sew around the perimeter of the top edge of the skirt (where the belt will be located). Use large, light stitches to sew the seam. Divide the upper part of the product into quarters (hide the seams inside) and mark with pins.

Measure your child's waist. Cut a piece of elastic for the belt - it should be 4-5 cm smaller than your waist circumference. Connect the edges of the elastic and sew them with zigzag stitches.

Pull the bottom thread to straighten the garment. Try to make the folds as even and neat as possible. When placing the elastic, tuck all the seams and irregularities into the waistband.

Starting with a zigzag stitch, you will need to sew the waistband to the skirt, stretching it little by little. Well, now all that remains is to inspect the product and remove all unnecessary stitches and threads. As you can see, even a novice seamstress can make such a long, airy skirt.

How to sew a tulle skirt - master class

As a result of sewing, you will get a very cute new thing with frills. First of all, sew the base. Cut a rectangle, for which take a meter of good stretch fabric, for example, it can be stretch satin. One side of the part should be slightly less than the length of your future skirt, while the length of the other should be equal to the volume of the hips with the addition of a couple of centimeters for allowances. Sew the ends of the rectangle.

To sew ruffles, you will need 4 m of tulle fabric, cut strips 12-15 cm long along the bias, their edges should be zigzag-edged, and the material should not be pulled together very tightly. If you act correctly, you can enjoy the attractive spectacle of beautiful tulle waves.

Step back 2 cm from the top of the base and sew the ruffles in a zigzag. The distance between the rows should be approximately 10-12 cm. Sew several frills in a row together, because the more there are, the more fluffy the skirt will be.

Then secure the pieces of fabric in the place where the belt will be located. Gather 0.5 m of lining fabric onto a thread and manually sew it to the tulle.

To sew a belt, fold a meter of elastic fabric in half, measure 2 cm along the edges, sew the belt, placing an elastic band inside.

Attach the belt to the shoppen skirt in such a way as to disguise the place where the lining is attached; now all that remains is to stitch the belt along the bottom. You can use a beautiful bow as decoration for the belt.
