The use of clay in soap making allows you to create not only useful, but also healing products. Due to its unique properties, clay has long been used in medicine and cosmetology. It is an excellent sorbent and contains silicon, which has therapeutic effect. Various masks are usually made from clay, but sometimes there is simply not enough time for this, so we offer an alternative option - soap self made with cosmetic clay will allow you to care for the skin of your face and body without much effort!

Main types of cosmetic clay

The use of colored clay in soap making is necessary not only to impart color to the finished product, but also to obtain cosmetic soap with beneficial and medicinal properties. Each type of clay has a characteristic composition of natural microelements and, accordingly, has a certain effect:

· white – effectively removes any impurities and normalizes sebum production, therefore especially suitable for women with oily facial skin. This is an excellent cleansing and drying agent that can enhance the bactericidal effect of certain substances, therefore it is excellent for creating anti-inflammatory cosmetic products;

· black – has healing properties, thanks to the biologically active substances contained in the composition that help normalize the activity of the sebaceous glands, as well as the process of fat metabolism in cells. This product significantly improves blood and lymph circulation, helps normalize metabolic processes and activate regenerative processes in the body;

· red – gives the skin elasticity, relieves various redness and inflammation, helps smooth out fine wrinkles. Handmade soap, which contains red clay, is especially suitable for women with dry and sensitive skin, as it perfectly moisturizes and nourishes the skin without causing allergic reaction;

· blue – characterized by a significant content of cadmium, cobalt salts and other useful components that have cleansing, disinfecting, anti-inflammatory and tonic properties. This product helps to activate blood circulation and enhance metabolic processes in skin cells. Soap with blue clay is especially useful for problem skin, because it eliminates inflammation and fights “black spots”;

· green – has a rich microelement composition, characterized by a high content of silver, which prevents premature aging skin and strengthening the epithelium. This clay also contains other useful components: calcium, cobalt, magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc, phosphorus and others. Soap with green clay makes the skin especially soft and velvety; it can also be used as a gentle peeling to for a long time preserve the attractiveness and beauty of the skin.

How to make medicinal soap at home?

Making medicinal soap yourself is not difficult, it is only important to follow a few rules.

1. Initially, you need to prepare a mold, which can be any suitable plastic or silicone container. For example, cosmetic soap in the shape of a shell looks original.

2. If the mold does not have a flat surface, then to fix it, it is recommended to use a regular mug or other suitable container.

3. In a separate plastic cup you need to mix 1.5-2 tablespoons of glycerin, a little cosmetic oil (choose the scent at your own discretion), a special fragrance and a tablespoon (without a slide) of any clay. All components must be thoroughly mixed until a homogeneous mixture is formed.

4. In another separate container, you should melt the soap base, calculating its quantity is not difficult - the base is cut into cubes and placed in a mold without a slide, this is exactly the amount required to create soap. You can melt the base in a water bath or in the microwave, and when it becomes completely liquid, you need to pour it into a glass with clay and other ingredients, and then mix thoroughly.

5. The soap mold must be sprinkled with alcohol and the entire contents of the cup must be poured into it, then sprinkled with alcohol again. It is not recommended to fill the form completely; it is better to leave a little space for the outline, about 3-5 mm, since plain soap does not look particularly attractive. After the base has completely hardened upper layer you need to sprinkle generously with alcohol again, fill it with white base and sprinkle the surface with alcohol again.

Clay is not only an excellent natural dye for soap, thanks to which you can get natural, muted shades, but also good scrub, which has a sorbing property and does not dry out the skin.

A big piece! As much as 115 grams!

COMPOUND

sodium salts of fatty acids of olive, shea (shea), coconut, palm oil., blue Cambrian clay, essential oil tea tree extra

I want to break down the composition a little.

Clay

Salts, macro and microelements

in active ionic form penetrate the skin with each use of soap - enhance lymph and blood circulation and metabolic processes in tissues, increasing oxygen metabolism

Australian Tea Tree Essential Oil

is one of the best skin antiseptics, and has the following pharmacological and psycho-emotional effects: antiseptic, antiviral, antifungal, immunostimulating, wound healing, oncoprotective, helps restore the body after stress, relieves feelings of anxiety

It’s especially great that tea tree essential oil relieves anxiety. This is so important nowadays

In general, this soap is a storehouse of useful microelements.

SMELL

The soap has a specific aroma. But I can't say that he's unpleasant. You can smell tea tree essential oil with some impurities.

After washing there is no smell left at all.

TEXTURE AND COLOR

The soap itself is gray, with some dark inclusions. The new soap is absolutely smooth.

But at the same time, the soap has a pronounced scrubbing effect. Apparently, due to the clay in the composition.

APPLICATION

Here you can describe a bunch of options. Because the product is truly universal!

EFFECT

Since I’ve already decided to describe 4 options for use, I’ll tell you about the effect

Washing

What I immediately liked was that after washing with this soap, my skin was squeaky clean. That is, Zdrava soap with clay really cleanses perfectly, removing dead particles. After it, your face is smooth and your skin is soft.

Any clay has a whitening effect. This soap also has this property.

Moreover, clay perfectly cleanses pores and tightens them. But, most of all, this effect is visible after

Scrubbing and using soap as a mask

Here I’ll make a reservation right away: I recommend leaving soap on the face only for those with oily or combination skin. Because soap dries it out a little. But for dry skin, this method of use is not suitable.

After rinsing off, I can directly feel how the soap tightens my skin and pores.

Here is my skin BEFORE washing, in the summer, the pores are often enlarged and the skin is shiny:

And here is the skin after washing:

the washing up

This soap perfectly cleanses the skin of the body. To the point of squeaking. It helped my husband a lot; he has problem skin on his back.

As for lifting my mood while washing, it’s all true. As soon as I see clean and bright pores on my face, my mood lifts.

Another plus: if you use soap only for washing, it does not decrease at all
The square block remains the same as it was. You can then pass it on to your grandchildren

Well, if you wash with it, then, of course, it will last for 1.5 -2 months. Which is also not bad!

CONCLUSION

I generally love products with clay. And this soap from Tavinka really sunk into my soul. I think that those with oily/combination or problem skin should have it in their bathroom on a regular basis. Therefore, I recommend it.

I hope my review was helpful! If you have any questions, I will definitely answer them in the comments. All the best!

Now my favorite for the warm season is soap with clay. In summer, it is especially useful for oily, inflammation-prone skin.

Clays have been used in cosmetology and the treatment of diseases for centuries. There is even an ancient method of healing - clay therapy, which is still successfully used to this day. Today, the main properties of clay are considered to be cleansing, whitening, antiseptic, stimulating and anti-inflammatory. Moreover, each clay has its own set of specific qualities.

Clays are distinguished by colors, which depend on the mineral composition, and the composition, in turn, depends on the place of origin of the clay. Clay comes in blue, green, white, red, yellow and gray.

Blue clay is often called the most useful because it contains all the mineral salts and trace elements that the human body needs. It contains silica, phosphate, iron, nitrogen, silver, magnesium, calcium, manganese, phosphorus, zinc, aluminum, copper, cobalt, molybdenum and other useful substances. This clay has anti-inflammatory, cleansing and disinfecting properties. It activates blood circulation and accelerates cellular metabolism processes. Blue clay is also credited with the ability to smooth out wrinkles, fight stretch marks after pregnancy, and have anti-cellulite and anti-stress effects. As a bonus, it is also very effective for baldness.

It’s not for nothing that the Soap Makers company chose blue clay for their soap. Soap with blue clay, except that it conveys all of it beneficial features, also great for oily, problem skin.

Blue clay soap from Soapmakers traditionally does not have any synthetic components. It is cooked in oils and alkali with the addition of natural clay and essential oils. A piece of this soap looks pleasantly smooth, gray-blue in color with beautiful pattern above. My piece smells almost nothing, I would say it smells like clay. :) This distinctive feature natural soap, it cannot be strongly scented. The aroma of essential oils will evaporate when high temperature during the preparation of soap, but the beneficial properties of the oils remain.

The soap cleanses perfectly and gives a silky, creamy foam. This soap uses finely ground clay, it does not stand out in grains, it is not a scrub soap. I myself made soap with clay, for which I took coarser clay, I got soap with small scrubbing particles. So Mylovarov’s clay soap is perfectly smooth, without scrub.

I use soap to cleanse the skin of the body in the shower and bath. At first I didn’t pay attention to the properties of the soap in action. It cleans, oh well. But I soon noticed that inflammation on the body and small wounds and scratches noticeably paled and quickly healed after a shower with this soap. I assume that the disinfectant and anti-inflammatory properties of blue clay work. In general, this clay soap opens up more and more the longer you use it. To be honest, it looks unsightly, a gray piece, but in reality it shows itself perfectly. In addition to the healing effect, I also noticed a softening and smoothing effect. I don’t know about the anti-cellulite effect, but it absolutely smoothes and evens out the skin. I noticed that the skin has become denser or something, the pores are less noticeable. Perhaps this is due to the effect of essential oils of grapefruit, lemon and mint. It is worth considering that soap dries out a little, so cream or body oil is very desirable. And this despite the fact that my skin is not dry.

My dermatologist told me not to wash my face with soap, so I can't rate this clay sample as a face wash. I assume that the soap will perfectly cleanse and dry oily skin, and relieve inflammation, if any. I do not recommend this soap for dry skin, neither for the body, nor, especially, for the face. and milk are the optimal types of natural soap for skin prone to dryness.

Clay soap turned out to be much more economical than olive and tar soap. It hardly gets wet and holds its shape well, but nevertheless, it needs to be kept in an open soap dish with holes in the bottom, like any natural soap.

As a result, this soap has become my favorite, which I would never say after the first use. In general, natural soap is an excellent alternative to unnatural shower gels. Yes, it is not as fragrant, but over the time that I have been using natural soaps and body oils, my skin has transformed.

CLAY in handmade soap helps create very useful, and in some cases even healing, soap. Clay has been used in cosmetology for a very long time and folk medicine. • “Soap making and handmade cosmetics are my hobbies,” shares Elena Kondrashova (Moscow, Russia). I've been into this for quite some time. How can you not get carried away with it if you did it yourself? Today I want to tell you about cosmetic clay."
  • Clay soap recipe

    • Ingredients: white soap base, wheat germ oil, D-panthenol, pink clay, fragrance or essential oil, alcohol.
    • You will need these tools:
    • stir stick
    • mold (per 100 g bar of soap)
    • heat-resistant cookware
    • Proportions: white base - 100 grams, wheat germ oil or grape seed oil - 1 teaspoon, D-panthenol - 10-15 drops, pink clay - 1-2 teaspoons, flavor or essential oil - 15-20 drops.
    • So let's get started.

How to make handmade soap with clay

    • Take a heat-resistant container and melt the white base in it, after cutting the base into small cubes.
    • You can melt the base in the microwave or in a water bath.
    • Take a soap mold with a pattern.
    • Fill the shape pattern with the melted white base. This must be done quite carefully, so that the white base does not spill beyond the boundaries of the drawing. If, suddenly, it was not possible to do it carefully, then this can be corrected by carefully cleaning it with your hands or a knife.
    • Add clay, oil to the remaining white base and mix everything thoroughly with a stick. You need to wait until the base cools down a little.
    • Then add D-panthenol and fragrance.
    • The base must cool down and be in lung condition gel. Under no circumstances should we pour the base hot. If you do this, the clay will settle at the bottom of the mold and give the soap a sandy tint at the very bottom. We pour all this into the mold.
    • If bubbles appear on the surface of the soap, they must be carefully removed by sprinkling the surface with alcohol or simply with a spoon.
    • The alcohol should be 96% (vodka will not work).
    • If you don’t have ethyl alcohol, you can buy formic alcohol at the pharmacy.
    • When we pour a cooled base into a mold, in such cases it is difficult to achieve a flat surface; in this case, you can carefully remove part of the base, melt it again and pour it hot into the mold. Or do not fill the base to the brim, heat the unfilled base and pour it into the mold.
    • Remove the resulting mixture from the mold when the base has cooled completely. As a rule, this takes about 20-30 minutes for a 100 gram piece.
