Draw a circle on a piece of paper. We add the length of the cloak to the radius and draw the lower circle from the same center.
Cut out both circles. Mark a sector equal to one quarter of the circle and cut it out. Using this pattern, we cut out the fabric and sew the product. We trim the edges of the cloak and the neckline with bias tape. To make the corners of the cloak easier to handle, you can slightly round them. Sew ties to the neckline.
It’s even easier to sew the next cape model. Cut a rectangle from the fabric, the length of which is equal to twice the length of the product, and the width is slightly greater than the width of the child’s shoulders. Trim the edges of the rectangle with lace. In the middle, cut a circle with a diameter of 15–20 cm for the child’s head and trim it with edging.

Instead of a hat, the Cat can wear a hat with ears made of fabric or fur to match the color of the rest of the outfit. Or you can attach the ears to a plastic hairband.
Draw the outlines of the ears on paper in the form of two triangles, one of which is 0.5 cm larger than the other on both sides and 4 cm on one, and then transfer the pattern to the fabric.
Cut out a black and white ear from fabric. Turn the pattern over and cut out the second pair of ears. Place the white triangle on the wrong side of the black one and tuck the edges of the black one 0.5 cm on both sides.
It is better to make the ears for Puss in Boots from a dense material that holds its shape well, for example, from felt. If the fabric is not very dense, insert a rigid base inside the ears, for example, a cardboard triangle, pieces of foam rubber or padding polyester.
Wrap the ears around a plastic hoop and secure it on the outside with threads or glue it with PVA glue. You can also cut out ears from faux fur.

I searched a lot of Internet links and couldn’t find any clear and understandable instructions for sewing boots for a New Year’s pirate costume. I had to reinvent the wheel :). After analyzing the passages and putting them into pieces, I came up with this option.
These are not boots in their purest form. This is their imitation. I don’t have the opportunity to study leatherwork, so I sewed only the tops of the boots, which, having a lining with an elastic band inside, fit the leg perfectly tightly, do not slip, do not interfere with the child’s movements, and, in combination with black Czech shoes for 100 rubles, vaguely resemble boots: ). In my version, buckles on the insteps are also planned, but they are still in progress; I will show the finished boots in the next report on.
So, step number 1. Pattern.
I took several measurements: height from ankle to knee, ankle circumference, calf circumference.
At first, the lower part turned out to be a bit narrow; we had to adjust it during the process. I forgot seam allowances here and there, so don’t pay attention to the numbers on the pattern.
First, we draw an inverted trapezoid, to do this we draw a line equal to the circumference of the ankle + 5 cm (it will be close, but the leg will fit); set aside the height of the boot - our measurement is from ankle to knee; and the upper part of the pattern, equal to the circumference of the calf + 5 cm. If you need boots with a lapel, like mine, add another lapel length in height (I have 7 cm).
The square in the photo is a blank for a buckle measuring 5x5 cm.
We also cut out a “skirt” for our foot, which will cover the shoes. I drew it “from a lantern”, the shorter straight line is 5 cm, the longer one is 7 cm. The inner edge is equal in length to the lower part of our trapezoid, since it will be sewn to it. The photo shows half of this part.
We cut everything out; we made 2 pieces each from black faux leather.
Cut the pattern along the lapel line. Along the top part we cut out two more leather parts. on the bottom - 2 parts made of lining fabric.
These are the details we have prepared.
Step 2. Sewing. Stepping back 2 cm from the wide part, sew an elastic band from the inside of the lining fabric.
Sew along the longitudinal seams on the lining.

We attach the “skirt” previously sewn into a ring.
We give our pipe the shape of a boot by tucking the lining with the lapel inside the boot. We stretch it onto a jar of suitable volume (I have a glass from a blender) so that the seams along the fold lie the way we need. I held each boot taut for about 20 minutes. At each stage, I ironed all the seams through a cotton cloth.

In Ancient Egypt they were revered and never offended. There has been a cat living in the palace of the Queen of Great Britain for many years, which is allowed to be present at all receptions. Both a child and a young girl can dress up in a carnival costume in the form of a cute cat. Making a cat costume with your own hands is not at all difficult. Its main attributes are ears and tail. Let's start with them.
Ears and tail
Any black and white outfit, complemented by neat triangular ears and long tail, can be considered a cat costume. In order to sew them you will need:
- black fabric (it is better to use any natural or faux fur);
- white fabric;
- PVA glue;
- scissors;
- threads, needle;
- cardboard;
- pencil;
- any filler;
- hair hoop.
Work order
Make a pattern for the ears in the form of two triangles. One is 0.5 cm larger on both sides and 4 cm on one.
Cut out one black ear and one white ear along them. Turn the pattern over and cut out a couple more ears.
Attach the white triangle to the wrong side of the black one and fold the black edges 0.5 cm on both sides. Place a cardboard triangle inside.
Mark the places on the hoop where the ears should be and wrap the remaining 4 cm of black fabric around them, dripping PVA glue inside.
Make a tail pattern.
Cut out the tail into two pieces.
Sew them together, turn them inside out and stuff them with stuffing.
Sew the tail to a belt or suit.
Hair ears
If you have long hair, then it is not at all necessary to make ears from fabric or cardboard. It is enough to have two thin elastic bands and a few hairpins to make two cookies, as shown in the photo, which will look great, imitating cat ears.
By the way, two fluffy pom-poms attached to the girl’s hair will also solve the problem of the cat’s hearing organs.
Breast
To make our Murka truly elegant and festive, it is advisable to decorate the cat’s costume with a white breast - an openwork, lace or fur frill. It can also be made from white satin ribbon, assembled in loops of varying lengths.
Such a frill will decorate not only a girl’s carnival clothes. It will perfectly complement the catwoman costume. Be sure to attach a small black or red bow. Well, what would Murka be without a bow?!
Catwoman costume
A girl in such clothes looks magnificent and very erotic. The attributes for it can be used the same as for a children's costume: ears and tail. For adult ladies, a white frill will perfectly replace a deep neckline and a bow on the neck.
Fur cuffs add fluffiness. It's very easy to make them. Take two strips of any fur 3-10 cm wide and slightly longer than the circumference of your wrist. Sew them into a ring.
You can diversify your clothes by sewing a fur hood. The photo shows the pattern of such an original addition. Separately, patterns for ear patterns are given, which are sewn onto a ready-made hood for adults.
They are cut out in four parts and sewn together in pairs to form triangular bags. Put some padding polyester and a piece of cardboard, cut according to the same patterns, into them and sew them to the hood.
Cat in a hat
If you still have a lot of time and material at your disposal, you can make a special hat with ears. The photo shows a pattern for such a headdress. It will perfectly complement both children's and adult cat costumes.
You don’t have to sew the hat, but use a ready-made one by sewing on ears made according to the patterns shown above. Ears on a brimmed hat look flirty. This costume can be made for a boy cat. If you throw a cape over your shoulders, put boots on your feet, and attach a sword to your belt, you get a chic puss in boots.
Makeup
One of the most important moments in creating a cat's image is applying the appropriate coloring to the face. Here is where your imagination can run wild. The catwoman costume will be complete. After all, a cat's face is not only black whiskers. Don't forget to draw:
- three to four vertical stripes above each eyebrow;
- slanted eyeliner;
- nose, in the form of a black pipette at the tip of the nose;
- above upper lip you can draw a stripe up to the nose and decorate the skin with black dots;
- if you are depicting a tabby cat, you can make faint stripes on the cheeks.

An item created in this way will be exactly the size of your son and will save you from trying on things. We cut, not forgetting to add 1-2 cm to the seams.
Separately cut out the back and shelf. Then, folding a piece of fabric in half, we cut out 2 sleeves, as in the photo.
We cut out 2 parts of the hood. We will then sew ears onto the hood.
We cut out the pants, sew them together, and insert an elastic band into the waistband. . The suit is ready.
To work you will need:

The leggings that are worn on shoes are cut out of cardboard. Make it from cardboard to match the color of the shoes. Or make red leggings, of blue color. On top of the boots we make a buckle with a bow. We make spurs from cardboard and cover them with foil.
The basis of the suit is a white shirt and sweatpants. It is better to decorate the trousers with stripes made of braid or Christmas tree decorations. The cloak is short, made from a piece of bright fabric.
